gelionlegends Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hi, it's been a while since my last question and ideas, here are a few. . . But what I want to find out about the Shadow Guyver is how powerful is his Mega-Smashers are as it isn't shown in the data file, then the next question is the Twilight Guyver own Mega-Smashers... could it be that it's not the power but the time it takes to charge and fire, as from what i understand with the temporal field quickening the unit shouldn't it also make the firing of most weapons faster like; head beam, Mega-Smashers and possibly sonic busters and pressure cannon? Though I am less sure on the last two weapons projection but they would be far faster than normal. Though I am surprised that the TG swords don't have a special effect like enhancment via temporal field, like it speeding up cellular decay or slowing it to a stop causing a deadening effect on some or most things like freezing and burning, though it's only an idea? *zeo Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't believe SG has Mega Smashers? He's a Stealth Unit, not a fighter. Like Klingon Cloak it takes a lot of power after all. TG was always intended to get upgraded later, in the beginning it's just the raw basic unit. Basically the TG project was never fully completed and there were missing components TG had to acquire to complete himself. As for firing weapons, yes and no. The weapons can be fired faster but the temporal field only effects what is in contact with TG. Once fired it falls back to normal time. So main benefit was quicker charge ups and faster refire rates. Quote
Juggernought Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I don't believe SG has Mega Smashers? He's a Stealth Unit, not a fighter. Like Klingon Cloak it takes a lot of power after all. Really, that's interesting. I always thought the reason most of his powers weren't in the datafile was because Chronos was keeping him as a top priority secret and any addition to the datafile would be because Shadow Guyver was forced to show that particular power in combat. Eg; when he was forced to erect a shield to protect himself from the blast due to the fight between Dreadnought and Tonnin. Quote
*zeo Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Partly, but you also have to factor that his is a specialized unit that was created to test a specific feature that was later integrated into the final Warrior Unit Prototype Type 1. Similar to say Battle Guyver and the highly specialized body shield system her unit possesses was the basis for the WG body shield system. A good comparison can be made to the Lynn Satome's Nova Storm Unit, which was a test bed for the enhanced gravitational powers of the Black Nova Unit. He did not possess Mega Smashers either, since all his unit power was focused to generating and controlling gravitational energy. Add that Shadow Guyver has apparently continued to operate successfully even after Dreadnought came into the picture, though he probably avoids him as much as possible, should give some idea of how effective his cloaking system must be and how much power such a system must require to be that effective. . . Btw, cloaking is also based on the body shield system so having him being able to produce an effective shield shouldn't be surprising. Though it probably taxed him considerably to refocus his cloak into a shield (yes, similar to Stargate Atlantis and them having to switch between cloak and shields). Quote
Juggernought Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 So I guess he would be capable of creating holograms as well. And even though his data file doesn't say this either, it seems he's also capable of teleporting or he has the Ark doing that for him. But even more interesting is who exactly this Guyver's real identity is? Do we even know him from past fics or even have hints on who he is? Quote
*zeo Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Nope. SG is one of Brian's best kept secrets Quote
