Though it's not quite a game, gaming hardware counts for this board.

I've had some serious freaking issues with the X1600 Pro from ATI. Being a long time ATI user I was quite disappointed to find my warranty being denied based on Manufacture Date rather than date of purchase. I had the card running flawlessly for 6 months before it crashed on me. Seemingly it has begun to overheat to an extreme degree. Of course I check my CPU die temp and it's well within range and my fan is operating. Just in case I add an extra cpu fan and nothing. I tried opening the case and using a floor fan to really cool things off, nothing. Tried updating drivers, tried updating just about everything but still the same overheat problem, though it's not actually overheating.

I would seriously suggest anyone looking for a new or replacement card to stay the heck away from this one. It ran games fine while it lasted, very well actually. I was getting a pretty solid 30-40 FPS on Elder Scrolls Oblivion. But once it was gone, that was it. And from what I read the PCI-E version is just as bad.

Well I have used ATI since the Rage 128 series and never ever had a problem with their products. Right now I'm running an older 9200SE in my system and it works fine. Card is crap for running modern games but great for games in that 3-5 year old bracket. Which considering I still play games like Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights it's fine.

I'll probably switch to a Nvidia card. Been awhile since my last one which was a total piece of junk.

I have a laptop which is a HP Pavilion dv9535 model, which does all of my games pretty well.

But whenever I go get a new desktop I will probably get a Nvidia card, because so far they haven't broke down on me yet.
