Juggernought Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 At certain points throught the WG universe stories WG2 has stated that he could or would kill jason. Clearly jason has more power so why would he state something like this...Is he still hiding something that he has yet to reveil to anyone? Quote
*zeo Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Nope, well not really. At the time he said that to Jason he was trying to put Jason in his place. Remember he's military and they have a certain mindset. And Jason was disobeying orders from Carter. Also remember where Stephen came from, in his universe's Jason never faced a Guyver Zoalord so never really unlocked the true power of his unit. Stephen also saw his Jason killed while he managed to fight off the Warrior Kavzars. So on the surface it does indeed seem like WG2 has more power than WG. And having never faced anything like a Guyver Zoalord himself he considered whatever WG did to defeat it a fluke. Something his unit was specially designed to do and would not apply to a normal fight. After all Jason had used the power of the Guyver Zoalord itself and all the others around at the time to empower his gravity shield to a level that could effect the Guyver Zoalord. So as far as WG2 knew WG couldn't reach such power on his own. Which left him with the fact that with the ability to channel the CPM's he could instantly make himself twice as fast and twice as strong as WG. And the CPM's themselves provided him more fire power. And fire power to a military mindset is always more important than armor/shield, which was WG's main advantage. But in reality they are about even since their unit's use the same technology. They just use it differently, the same technology that gives WG the gravity shield is what gives WG2 the CPM's for example. So WG2 does have more instantaneous power but WG has more overall power, he just takes longer to charge up. Hell, Stephen didn't even know how hard it is to kill a WG at the time. He just assumed he could kill Jason if he had to. Not to mention Stephen is a trained soldier and Jason was just a FBI agent before the war. It never really occured to him that of the two only Jason had the power to actually destroy a Warrior Guyver Quote
Juggernought Posted February 18, 2007 Author Posted February 18, 2007 And now that Jason is enhanced by the matrix..stephen is well, for lack of better words..he has been weighed, he has been measured, and he has been found wanting. Quote
*zeo Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Well it's hard to compete with a Matrix and Warrior Gigantic enhancement. Frankly it would be an unfair comparison, like comparing a normal Guyver to a Warrior Guyver. They may have started about even but Jason now has all the advantages thanks to the Matrix. But WG2 is his own character, with his own strengths and weaknesses and should be judged as such. After all a WG, of any type, is still a power to be reckonned with and Stephen has the courage to take his unit to its limits. Quote
McAvoy Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Well we did see a direct fight between Warrior Guyver 5 and Warrior Guyver 2. Warrior Guyver 2 was winning for the most part. WG5 is a mercenary so there is a real good chance that WG5 has military training in some way or another. I'm sure for the most part, the battle between WG and WG2 could go either way. WG is more defensive and WG2 is more offensive. Quote
