Dreadnought would so own on Superman.

-Molecular Manipulation: A mostly psionic based ability that allows subject to manipulate matter at will. This allows subject to both move an object and/or alter it, such as turning lead into gold or changing the shape of an object. The full range of this power has yet to be demonstrated.

-Other abilities: Subject can use his quantum powers to manipulate all forms of energy, allowing subject to guide his blasts to his target(s) and/or transform energy from one state and into another, such as transforming an incoming energy blast into gravitational energy that he can absorb with his gravity shield to increase his defensive abilities. Subject can also use this ability to transform energy into matter and vise versa.

That's right. All he has to do is manipulate the air around Supes into Kryptonite, or drain his yellow sun radiation reserves from that field of invulnerability Superman has. Either way, the man in the big red S is going down!

If we do go into Dreadnought taking on some comic book characters. I think I'd like to know how he would stack up against Galactus. I mean, devourer of worlds versus destroyer of moons; any bets Dreadnought might get his can handed to him?

Posted

Seriously but lets face it an american super hero vs Dreadnought I think would be over very quickly. Think about it Galactus, yah he can't be destroyed but who said he has to destroy him all he has to do is teleport him in to a blackhole and *poof* there goes Galactus so no contest, but if you think manga super heros that's an entire branch of comics full of really uber powerful heros. I don't care what you all say but Optumis Prime could kick Dreadnought's butt.

I mean Superman is one thing, but this is Galactus you’re talking about here. This guy made the silver surfer on a whim. He’s from a universe before the birth of ours, and has even been described as a balance between chaos and perfection in the cosmos.

The only way Dreadnought is going to have a chance against this guy is if he somehow is able to get him away from his world eater platform. From there you’d have to hope that Jason would be able to teleport him into some voided region of existence.

He’s simply too powerful. If you can leave him out in the cold stretches of nothingness, maybe you bought yourself a few thousand eons until some unsuspecting passerby stops and gives him a hand… Maybe. Now here’s the kicker(and something I don’t quite know to tell you the truth!), if Galactus can teleport himself out of this region of space unaided by his platform, then there’s no way to stop him.

You could pound him with any attack you want, he experienced the big bang and lived to tell of it. I don’t even think a matrix bomb is going to compare to that one.

I think he could take Silver Surfer though, but that’s an entirely different story.

Yeah, but it would be funny to watch. Galactus would probably swat jason away like a mosquito. All his attacks might be pretty useless.

Silver Surfer, eh? Hmm, come to think of it which is more powerful in terms, the new galactus and Silver surfer that were depicted in the Ultimate series or the ones that we grew up with?

If I'm rightthe new Galactus was nothing more than a giant sized colony of machines with one mind, and the surfer (which there were many of) still ahd the same role but he prepared the world for it's destruction. Weird stuff, not as nice as back in the day, but more devastating.

I don't care for the Ultimate Series of comics. I like my old fashioned, 40 years of continuity, characters much more.

The Silver Surfer we grew up with is the one I speak of. The guy gifted with the power cosmic, torn away from him home of Zen La, in hopes of leading galactus away to uninhabited living worlds, only to have his memory taken from him, forcing him to take any and all planets in his path if only to satisfy the never ending hunger of his master. I'm talking about that Silver Surfer.

I think Dreadnought can take him. Want to know how? Ask. :)

Man, I love Noran Rad. He's so cool. Matter of fact the next FF movie is going to be Rise of the Silver Surfer. Which should be interesting to see how they tell the story in movie form, are they going to go for original or a mix of orignal and new age. Which is pretty much what they did with Spider-Man.

Yeah, so how would Dreadnought take out our cosmic power weilding antagonist turned protaganist?

Remove him from the cosmic.

Create a null void around the guy and let him try and fight his way out until he eventually drains his resources. Without the ability to nourish himself off of the stars and stellar bodies, he's toast.

Oh and if you like Silver Surfer be sure to check out the trailer for the new Fantastic Four movie; Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Looks interesting :D

and it's Norrin Radd ;)

Another tough one.

Onslaught is more of an event character than a character you'll see around very often. I mean for instance the character hadn't been touched for 10 years before the new Onslaught Reborn started up.

If Onslaught has the powers of Franklin Richards, and Nate Grey, I don't think there's much in the mutliverse that can stop him.

I'll have to think on this one a bit more.

OK, so I've thought about this one.

Onslaught, as I've said before, is an event character. This means that he was created to be the big bad guy of a multi-crossover event in the Marvel Universe. This being said, this guy doesn't really have limitations applied to his abilities.

He's shown to be able to go toe to toe with the Hulk (Hulk has an undefined strength factor that is only limited by his rage.) in pure strength alone. He can create manifestations of just about anything in the book. I mean the guy willed his "Citadel" into existence. He is in affect "unbeatable".

Yes I know the big bad guys did beat him down, but not really. They used a child that had the ability to do anything his mind could imagine. They used Franklin Richards to bring him down. While Franklin may not be an event character, he is the first son of the "New Age" of humanity. He represents unbridled power and ability.

If the Matrix had the ability to manipulate reality relative to the boundaries of actual existence, and not just the limited amount it is capable at this point, Dreadnought could take him. Without that boost, there's no way.

That's how I see it anyways.

Now, without Nate Gray and Franklin Richards, all Onslaught has going for him are the abilities of Charles Xavier and Erik Lenshir with a bit of a kick from that. He's a being of pure energy, and well energy is something Dreadnought does pretty well.

All he'd have to do is draw him into space and do a matrix bomb, crack the armor, and funnel the "living energy" that makes up onslaught into his own matrix, converting it say, a graviton particle field. Then, BAMN-O, no more Onslaught.

That's a lot of "Ifs" though.

Ha.

If's are good, because options have to be kept open. Yo unever know. Some one could come across this and maybe even use it for a Marvel/Guyver or D.C./Guyver cross over. Personally speaking I think stuff liek that would be fun to see happen in a fic.

I personally say Dreaadnought vs. "The Batman", would end horribly for poor Bruce. I love Batman, but Dreanought wouldn't have to blink to off him. I mean with the vast powers Dreadnought has at his disposal it's like putting an ant agaisnt a person.

That's the thing man. It's the Batman. This guy doesn't have super powers but he hangs with the most powerful meta's on the face of the planet. Heck, in the infinite crisis event even the OMAC's considered him an Alpha level threat.

He works by thinking through every situation. They say Batman can take anyone.

The trick is to figure out how.

Try to figure out how Batman could take down dreadnought. That's a lot more fun than just watching him blink Batman from existence. Oh, and I'd love to read this one!

And I don't mean "Write a fan fiction" on this either. Just reply to this post, and figure out a way that "The Batman" could take out dreadnought. :D

Hmm, Onslaught, nope Dreadnought probably couldn't take on something like that character.

Even with the Matrix he could only hope for a stalemate since he doesn't have the power to overpower Onslaught.

Though if he tricks him into going into the GWOTG universe Anubis would treat Onslaught like a slurpy

Anubis would just feed on something like him.

As for Batman, yup in some elseworld stories and alternate timeline stories he has even taken out Superman.

The Guy may only be human but he's the smart one, he always figures a way to defeat his opponent by finding their weaknesses.

For Omac Batman was the one who originally created that machine AI before it got reprogrammed so it knew Batman would know its systems like the back of his hand and thus would instandly classify him as a prime threat.

To defeat Dreadnought it all depends on what conditions they would come under conflict.

If he has access to sufficiently advance technology, like a motherbox, he could come up with a few scenarios for dealing with Dreadnought.

Alternatively he could just trick Dreadnought into going someplace where he will battle someone capable of defeating him.

Also remember Batman is also Bruce Wayne and has both money and technology behind him that rivals anything Lex Luthor has so even without super powers he can accomplish virtually anything he puts his mind to.

Not to mention he would be smart enough to figure out the CM weakness and patient enough to figure a way to attack it eventually.

But doesn't that imply that Dreaddy just doesn't flick his head off or any other oh so strainful things.
