The new TV series "Guyver - the Bio-Boosted Armor" is now officially licensed for North Americian release.

*edit* Brand new news from Otakon 2006!

- The Guyver volume 1, will be released on November 14th

- ADV is not releasing an Art box with volume 1, but instead are releasing the box with volume 2, hoping that new fans might pick up the first DVD, without having to worry about not getting the Art box if they do like it, or aren't stuck with the box if they don't.

According to Animenewsnetwork.com, ADV has officially announced, that the new series "Guyver - the Bio-Boosted Armor" is nor officially licensed for North Americian release.

Nor other information is available at this time however ( like release date, how many eps per DVD ect...)

Are you kidding? This announcement is cause for celebration for people who wanted this in America.

I'll be drooling to hear more when it comes out.

Personally I'm glad ADV got it. Man would it have sucked if like funanimation or bandai or some other lame comp. got their dirty hands on it.

I've heard a October/November release date... 2nd hand info though so i can't confirm it.

I, too hope hope they get Steven Blum back to do his voice. Though it was short lived, he did wonderfully in the original series and I'd love to see what he can do with the new series.

As for the release date on this, it'd be very nice to have it so soon after Matt made this announcement.

New Guyver news from Otakon!

Also announced at the Peek ‘n Greet panel was a new direction for ADV’s DVD releases; beginning with The Guyver on November 14th, ADV will be issuing the first disc of their new series without an artbox, instead releasing the second disc in the series with the box (provided the series in question is scheduled to have one), in order to give skeptical fans the option to try out a new series without having to spend big on an artbox they might not fill up

Kinda intresting how they are handling it... definatly a new way of doing things. A definatly i nteresting way to try and bring in new fans.

And I for one am glad they are doing it first with the Guyver.

Information in the first post has been updated.
