There are 49 Japanese episodes, all of which will be released by Media Blasters. Lately Media Blasters has been focusing on older titles as well as newer anime. Tekkaman Blade will join the likes of Giant Robo, Master of Mosquiton, Iczer and Saber Marionette R, all of which have recently been released by Media Blasters. Regarding Tekkaman Blade, John Sirabella, CEO of Media Blastersters, stated "Tekkaman Blade is one of the best hand-drawn high-budget robot animes to come out of Tatsunoko Pro studios (famed for Gatchaman, Speed Racer) and its release is long overdue." It's one of those shows that bring back childhood memories for me. Not to mention that having Tekkaman Balde II without the original kinda blows. Quote
