guyverfanatic Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Anyone else decide to see this on Friday? I enjoyed the movie immensely and the humor in it was superb. I wish they had split it into 2 parts because the book was so long. Quote
largo Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Yah saw it friday too man was it packed. It was great really funny. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 The humor in it was definitely a plus. The bath scene and Malfoy being turned into a ferret were the highlights for me. What about you guys? Quote
jedi-guyver Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 My favorite part was when Ron came in all flabbergasted stating "You know I like it when they walk." Quote
gall_4185 Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Meh,it was ok.Some good moments some that required more detail to make sense.Thank god they left out SPEW though Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Yeah, the whole idea was sort of a subplot that was gratefully left out. However, on a side note, I did want to see the sphinx. That would have been cool. And I thought the entire maze was supposed to be confined to the Quidditch arena. Eh, can't have everything. Anyway, they did a nice job, definite humor with darker undertones too. After all, it is the turning point in the series. Everything before was light-hearted, cutsy, lovy-dovy stuff, that now, you get to the much more darker side of things and the true personas appearing. Of course, how they approach the other book is yet to be seen. After all, after the next movie, well, for those who read the books, know that things become more critical and slightly disturbing. daveblackeye152 Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 I'm a LITTLE late but I saw it at the cheap theater. I really enjoyed it a lot, there were parts that I was disappointed that were left out but I think after Prisonr of Azkaban I got use to that. However the movie ended with a bit of an upbeat ending, considering. Oh well, it's a keeper. Quote

daveblackeye152 Posted March 19, 2006 Posted March 19, 2006 Why rent it? I saw it on a big screen of 1.50. That's less than renting it at most places. And I'm all Harry Potter'ed out now. Quote

McAvoy Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I never lasted beyond the flying football thing in the first movie but for some reason I bought the Goblet movie last week. I finally saw it a few days ago, but never finished it. It just doesn't hold my interest. Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 All things considered, it was better overall I think. No SPEW! YEAY! Seriously. They did a good job with everything. A few holes, but hey, every movie based a book has 'em. Quote

It just doesn't hold my interest. it's quidditch, Anyway I thought they took too much out of the movie, while spew being taken out was good, I still think they removed too much. Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 SPEW was retarded. I am EXTREMELY happy it was cut out. Yep. Ain't it great? And they did remove too much. Like the Sphinx. I don't recall the Priori Incantatem being shown either. Some of the really important stuff always gets left out. The beginning got left out. That's actually relevant too. Oh, and the job on old Voldemort (he's old enough to be one of the student's grandfathers. Ewwww!) makes him look REALLY hideous. I mean, it's a face only a mother (or in his case, Nagini) could love. Yeesh. Quote
