Guyver 3 Film

What would you think if they did a sequel or if they started from scratch? What would you like to see in a live action Guyver film?

Personally i would like to see a continuation of the Sean Barker character, where he would travel to some big city and happens to bump into Chronos. I wouldn't mind seeing an addition of three more guyvers. Maybe Sho Fukamachi and Aguito Makashima. Maybe Guyver 2 could be a Chronos agent who 'tests' the Guyver unit, only to decide to rebel against Chronos and join the Guyvers? Basically i would like to see any potential film stay close to the comics in terms of characters and zoanoids. Ramotith and the one with the horn would look good.

What of the introduction of Guyot or Murakami ? Enzyme?

Hyper Zoanoid Team 5?

Any others idea on a possible Guyver film would be great!

Cheers.

Moving to General ('cause it won't go anywhere else). The Guyver discussion is only really for hard core storyline, not for "what if's". We don't want to clutter up the Hard-core evidence with confused posts.

No harm, no foul. Just be careful of where you post in the future ^_~

Yeah sorry about the mistake!

So what would you like to see in any possible Guyver film? I wouldn't completely rule out another Guyver film, imagine what they could do with todays computer graphics, make up and special effects!

If there was enough interest then someone would pick up the idea for a film.

I would like to see it setin a city again, also with the inlcusion of another 3/4 Guyvers. A Gold Guyver, Purple Guyver, Black Guyver and Blue Guyver. They could also include the Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 with radical new Zoanoid designs, even using ones from the Manag Anime series. We could see the Guyver using new weaponry such as the pressure cannon, the gravity belt which could manipulate gravity around it so for instance it someone fired a projectile at it it could do like a 'matrix' effect and slow things down.

Maybe a prototype Enzyme could be used?

This is actually an idea some of us have been talking about. Riven and Kaiser would be writing the script,Kaiser would be in charge of creature descriptions while Xenon and I get left to transfer them onto paper. Beyond that we kinda got in over our heads

I've actually started several scripts before ^_^;;

Unfortunately, they're only on paper and so bad that I think I might burn them just to get pleasure out of seeing my old and bad writing styles destroyed forever....

Moved to Fan Fiction due to the nature of the post.

Any large "Theoretical" talk about Guyver plot, or story, that currently does not exist ( no third movie has ever been stated), or is not ongoing ( like the manga), is considered "Fan" made, and belongs in here.

A sequel to the existing guyver movies is not a good idea. lets face it they are hardly the best films ever made even if the subject matter rocks. also there are gonna be a lot of people who won't have a clue what is going on. lets tell them to watch the other two films? no. i don't think so.

better to buy the rights completely and make a film from scratch.

It would have to be an adaptation though. you cant fit the books in as they currently stand. the script would be more episodic than film like. like the anime.

i have outlined a brief plot of what i would make for a guyver film. i will post it up tomorrow.

I am with Drag-5 on this. I liked the second live action, but the first one is really bad, and gives us fans a really bad reputation. It's possible to do a trilogy, but I'd say let's start from scratch. I consider the live action an alternate universe; er, well maybe Agito's bad dream.

Personally, I'd like to direct a movie series. But licencing is always an issue. I can still dream, and actually try when I have the money. Someday. Then again, how many people hear wouldn't?

Good ideas.

However even though it probably wouldn't be a popular idea if i had the chance to make a new Guyver film i would simply carry on with the Sean Barker's character.

Even though the first Guyver film wasn't brill, the second one for it's time is really good so why not carry on with a sequel that carries on the story but can also introduce new people without them needing to see the other films.

For instance it could start with Sean having split with Cory on mitual grounds, because he's had a stable relationship he hasn't used the Guyver much although it keeps calling him to fight and kill.

I would have it set in a city, perhaps New York City where deep underground Kronos have unearthed a Creator ship. Due to the ship being 'disturbed' it somehow communicates with Guyver through his dreams and lures him to New York.

Now say because the ship was damaged by one of the Guyvers in the past there's a big hole so the Kronos forces can enter they ship. Whereby they recover 5 Guyver units, 4 working ones and 1 damaged one. Just after they've put the Guyver units into a secure case or container the FBI/CIA forces show up (since there's an underground war between Kronos and the US Government) a different 'war on terror'.

Anyhow Guyver 1/Sean Barker stumbles onto the scene where comes to the recue of the Government forces just before they are overrun by the Zoanoids who are surprised to see the Guyver.

Fast forward then a Kronos agent/scientist wants out and acts as a mole for the government, his cover is blown so he escapes with 3 Guyver units, he hides one somewhere but then gets intercepted by the Zoanoid team who kill him, retrieve the unit and bring it back to a vehicle. Where Agito Makashima is waiting, he kills the Zoanoid team and we then hear the whiring sound of the Guyver unit as the control metal lights up and he activates the 'Guyver 3 unit'.

We then go to another scene where a Sho Fukamachi gets picked on by some thugs, he happens to trip over some bags of rubbish or something and uncovers the 'Guyver 4 unit'. Somehow activates it and fights off the thugs.

Afterwards Kronos hears news about the 'Guyver 5' unit, say a Museum curator believes he's found an old relic Zoanoids come and get it but he inadvertedly activates the 'Guyver 5' unit and kill;s the Zoanoids.

Lastly we could have a 'Lisker/Risker' character like in the Manga series, a Kronos agent who activates the 'Guyver 2 unit'. After various run ins with the other Guyver he decides to join them.

We could also see Enzyme, Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 & The Lost Units being introduced. Also we could see a Guyver-Zoanoid who activated the damaged 6th Guyver unit. I wouldn't mind seeing Zoanoids off the Manga series like Ramotith and Gregole for instance. Perhaps one off the films, the horn headed 'Lisker' variant.

So Guyver 1 (Blue) is Sean Barker, Guyver 2 (Gold) is Oswald Lisker off the Manga series, Guyver 3 (Purple) is Agito Makashima, Guyver 4 (Grey) is Sho Fukamachi & Guyver 5 (Black) is another person lol.

I know my story may not make much sense, but i just had a jumble of ideas i wanted to put down.

You started out with a plot for a movie, then just turned into 'let's become guyvers'. It was interesting up to the point of the underground war. I wouldn't try to find a way to bring Sho or agito into it. Having charactors in it just for that sake isn't really doing the story justice. The underground war thing is an interesting fan fic though, I'd be interested in seeing how the end turns out. Even if it turns out to be a live action version of the gigantic. I would even be interested in seeing Cory and Sean together, and struggling to hold a family over fighting the world. (my dad can beat up your dad, but he's to busy killing the boogey man)

Hey everyone.

Yeah i agree i did over do it a bit on the story side, i suppose you could do those events over a series of films.

Again i would like to see a continuation of the Guyver series from the established films. I agree that the inclusion of Sho & Agito shouldn't be done just for the sake of it, however that doesn't mean they couldn't be done correctly. It would be a nice way of bridging the series.

What if the film introduced two new Guyvers? One an insider another an innocent person caught up in the fight.

Ironically enough if David Hayter ever got the chance to write a Guyver script i think he could do a really good job. I mean he's played the character.

you can't have sho and sean in the same film. it just doesn't make sense. sean would have heard of sho or sensed him at least and vice versa. the film and the manga and the anime are separate. they are in different worlds. i mean even some of the concepts are different. like how the guyver makes you shorter in the films  . sorry i just had to put that in there!. but just look at the guyver in the films. he has extra orbs and stuff. it just wouldn't make any sense at all.

Anyway i promised to put up my script and here it is. it is extremely patchy and needs a lot of work but seeing as we are on the subject i guess you guys can see it now.

you may need to copy and paste the address into a new browser...

The rough story i came up with had Sho activating the Guyver unit in the film not before. I'm pretty sure that's what my idea was. Anyway the Guyver was marginally shorter and on film you can do anything so height doesn't matter, if it wasn't for the photo people wouldn't have noticed lol.

I don't see how it won't make sense by having Sho in the film. I mean we could use the character of Sho but write a slightly different story than the one in Manga or the Comic series, that is the benefit of artistic license.

Things like more orbs on Guyver's head or whatever is irrelevant, since the Guyver suits from both films were different anyway. With imagination, creativity and good direction anything could be done.

What other concepts that are apparently so different? I mean things like the 'bio boost' shield that envelopes the user during transformation could be included into the film. Yes it wasn't used in the earlier films but i don't think that matters.

Basically my story involved a sequel for Sean Barker and then an 'origin' story for Sho & Agito.

I do agree that in a fan work you can do anything you want and done in the right way it can be very effective. but that type of thing would only hold up in the fan work. if you consider people in general that type of thing would just clash completely. the general public isn't so accepting as you or i. the film you are describing sounds like heaven to anybody who loves the manga , anime and the film. if somebody doesn't like the film, however( i personally don't like shaun) then they are gonna feel cheated.

to make a film commercially effective you gotta keep the concept simple. especially in an action film!

Oh and you were asking what tother things were different, the spike on his head moves, the zoanoids are comedic and mostly human shape and size, a zoalord is the size of a house, they use robots to make zoanoids, the bio booster creaturee is not self supportive, there is more but it would take a long time.

don't get me wrong im not knocking your ideas, they are good ideas. i just don't feel they would work well in a film and if you can't convince me, good luck with a publisher!
