I will preorder it next month! Guyver is something that I love so much but is actually kind of hard to support as they kind of have a lack of things to buy. I was so stoked when I read that this was looked at and approved by Yoshiki Takaya himself!

BASTARD‼ -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- is based on the long running manga of the same name by Kazushi Hagiwara. Started in 1987 Bastard!! Is famous for its jaw dropping art work and long hiatuses. Bastard!! Has been on hiatus since 2010 and now the franchise is seemingly back from the dead with a new anime covering the complete manga run up to this point and a new figurine set. This is truly an exciting prospect! If Bastard!! Could have an exciting resurgence out of nowhere...then why not Guyver? If you are unfamiliar with Bastard!! I highly recommend giving it a go! It was one of the pioneers of the Dark Fantasy genre along side Berserk.

Did Yoshiki Takaya know Kentaro Miura? Both of them have been Mangakas since the 80's. Many Mangaka paid respects to Kentaro Miura after his passing. I know that Kentaro Miura inspired many to initially get into the industry though Guyver actually began prior to Berserk. Has Yoshiki Takaya said anything or paid his respects to Kentaro Miura?

So the manga is on hiatus currently, but are there any other signs of life in the franchise right now? Any new merchandise being released or on the horizon? Any new dvd/blu ray compilations of past adaptations?

What is the best way to support Guyver during this hiatus to help ensure that it comes back. I have slowly been buying all of the volumes off of Google Play.

Hello, I have been lurking on this forum for a while, mostly just following this thread. I loved the Guyver live action movies when I was a kid and got into the source material when I was older. I saw this picture of Yoshiki Takaya on the the Guyver World facebook group. It got me wondering, is it indeed a recent picture or has it been circulated previously?
