Ok I had heard of this but it almost slipped under my radar with a lot of other stuff going on. The first volume of Devilman Grimoire has been released in English about a month ago. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Devilman-Grimoire-Vol-Go-Nagai/dp/1626925712/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1514323550&sr=8-2&keywords=devilman Well I never thought to see the day. With Devilman vs Cyborg 009 coming out on Netflix last year and the upcoming Devilman: Crybaby coming out next week, Devilman has finally broken ground in a big way. Before Devilman was limited to its original 2 OVAS, The Devillady series, Demon Lord Dante (who was the proto-type for Devilman and Mazinger Z) and Violence Jack (although you'd never know it from the matiral used in those OVAS). The Devilman OVA's were incomplete due to issues between Nagai and the director but I hold them on equal footing to those of Guyver in terms of quality, the dubs however are almost polar opposites. I've commented before that Guyver's dub for the time was some of the best you could get for that era of anime.....Devilman's by comparison is a bloody joke. DevilLady is a pretty solid anime although it heavily deviates from its source material however this was mostly for the better as while I enjoy both version the toned down nature of the anime makes it more accessible plus its dub is pretty good. Demon Lord Dante had ok but cheap animation, its dub is ok but relatively lack luster and its biggest sin is that is far to slow passed and meandering the majority of the time to be overly fun. Violence Jake is infamous among any who watch older anime as by far one of the single most twisted, depraved and spiteful things you will ever watch. This is kind of the point because the story is intended to look at the true dark side of humanity but that dose not make it any less unsettling. Even in its heavily edited state this is apparent and the fact that its basically made up of 2 story arcs plucked from quit a way into the story (VJ is a very very long series) and one original story none of which flow into eachother to create a cohesive narrative help. The dub is not great ether with the only good thing in it being that Jack was voiced by Bob Sessions who was the voice of Genzo Makishima/Enzyme in Guyver's UK dub. Along with what I've just mentioned the Classic Devilman manga as well as Devilman vs Hades will both be released about March time next years. So 2018 is going to be the years of Devilman for us westerners. (we can also hope Guyver starts back up next year to.) Now back to Devilman G. This manga came out in 2012 and is very interesting in it own way. The best was I can describe it to you is a fusion of the original Manga and Anime, a modernised version of the original's art style and some new and interesting plot elements worked in to keep it fresh. If you have read come across the original manga before the basic set up will be familiar to you. I wont go into too much detail for any who wants to read the orginal when its out, Devilman G and or watch Crybaby. But I will talk about some of the changes. Probably the biggest change it to the character of Miki, while she was always a spunky and strong willed character her over all role in the original story was important but not prominent in the plot. Akira was deeply in love with her but she only became aware of what was going on with him at the very end of the story. Simple put she's not an active secondary protagonist. In this story Miki is now Co-Protagonist with Akira. As a result far more active and interesting. Probably the biggest change is her obsession with witchs and the occult, she's clamed to be a witch since she was little, dress like one and also says she's a descendant of Solomen. She has no real magic power, although as children she would rope poor Akira into her "summoning spells", but things take a turn for the nasty she apparently dose summon some demons and may be responsibility for Akira becoming Devilman. Akira/Devilman is also very different and the main reason I say this is a fusion of the manga and anime. At his core Akira is likewise identical with the only real change to his character is him being a little embarrassed by Miki's Witch Otaknuss. That all changes when he's possessed by Amon. Akira's personalities radically alters becoming more aggressive and confident but unlike the manga and most other versions of the story Devilman is not Akira with the body of a demon. He's Amon possessing Akira's body and being influenced by Akira's pure heart and love of Miki! This mirrors the original anime were Devilman (he was not known as Amon in that version) possessed the corpse of Akira but fell in love with Miki when he returned home. While some of the plot point are very much copied from the original much of the actually events around them are very different. Also there are a lot more named demon characters active in the story rather then random hordes. This allows us to get a very interesting look into villains as characters something that original manga only touched on slightly. Also a good chunk of these demons are background and one shot enemies from the original manga (and by extension the OVAs) as well as the original anime series. This gives us a very diverse caste of bad guys who even if they don't stick around long leave a stronger impression then they might have. One Personal faviort is the demoness Ebain. One of the more stand out demons from the anime, Ebain had the power to travel though and exist within reflective surfaces (such as mirrors). Her overall look is unchanged although more sexualised. I bring her up not only because she is one of my favourits but she is also a good example of how these characters are used to alter some of the more familure events from the original. Ebain is added to one of the early iconic fights from the original, turning a relatively easy if troublesome fight for Devilman into a pretty intense battle. So far I've found the first volume to be pretty good. You can enjoy both as a fan of the original but due to its more modern art style and the way the story is structured new comers can jump right in to.

https://www.quotev.com/quiz/8392220/Make-that-Legacy-of-Kain-Vampire Rahabim You're one of the intelligent, and widely curious Rahabim. --Your Sire-- Although we cannot tell if he's the third or fourth of Kain's lieutenants; Rahab is the third you encounter in Soul Reaver. Rahab the wise was one of Kain's brightest, easily the wisest of the six brothers, and one of the most self-experimental. So experimental was he, that in time, he and his clan overcame the acidic touch to water, and he can now swim where his brothers would have perished. Rumor has it that in the spin-off-game Nosgoth; Rahab was largely neutral on the civil war about who would take Kain's throne. Perhaps he believed that Kain hadn't left for good (and was right), or that the fighting would bring destruction to each of the clans (and was right, still). That's... Probably his line of thought. Sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what Rahab the wise was thinking about. --Your Clan-- We did not get to see he, or any of his kin in Nosgoth, if the rumors proved true on his neutrality that'd make sense, but that is neither here nor there. Your a Rahabim... That means you're smart. No really, you're probably impeccably smart regarding at least one subject or another. In fact, education is important to the Rahabim; even the slaves are taught, both for knowledge's sake, and the sake of young Rahabim learning to teach. The point is- the Rahabim have very few censors when in regards to intellectual pursuits, now is the time to explore that thing you've always wanted to know just a little more about. --Why You Fit In-- The truth of the matter is- you're curious. Or perhaps got an incredible work-ethic that is more sedentary than someone who'd make a good Turelim, or Dumahim. You're willing to devote increasingly extended periods of time focusing on a new way to look at things, to find a new answer or a better way to do something. You don't care about being particularly strong, or making yourself particularly attractive, you're much more interested in the end-game, and for that... People applaud you. Innovation is what you are as a Rahabim; and overcoming water was no small feat From the Wiki: The Rahabim clan are the masters of the waters of Nosgoth. They were “devastated even by the feeble rays of Nosgoth’s sun”, but managed somehow to ”overcome their vulnerability to water”, thus making them predators both on land and sea. They were the only vampires in Nosgoth to withstand the acidic touch of water effortlessly, which gave them a bigger freedom of movement during hunting. Their swimming skills were superior over humans as they could glide in water with ease with a swimming pattern resembling a fish or a snake. They were also capable of lunging themselves out of the water at any unsuspecting prey. It appears they had both lungs and gills as they were amphibious in nature and could breathe on land and sea equally. Daniel Cabuco described their adaptibility to water as the following: "As for spare time, Rahabim would have been trying to overcome their weakness to water by trying to improve the time they could spend in contact with it. Perhaps drinking blood at the same time the water burned them so their systems could heal and slowly, painfully adapt."As primarily sea based creatures, their movements are a bit slower on land, however their bite is just as deadly and they can also utilize their spitting attack. The spitting attack comes from their mouth and is described as "a foul water bubble" which is deadly to all besides the Rahabim. However, they cannot shoot in steep angles upward or downward. When fully submerged, they will mostly – if not always – use their biting attacks. When prey is at a distance on land, they will attempt to shoot it down instead of closing the distance (this behaviour is similar to a archerfish as described by Daniel Cabuco). Their territory is the Drowned Abbey. It is of human origin which served as a sanctuary in the past. It is unknown when the humans abandoned the area, when was it drowned, or when the Rahabim took over, but the central chapel served as a personal chamber for Rahab. It is further implied with yet officially unsupported claims that the Abbey belonged to the possession of the Turelim for a period of time, due to wall murals possibly signifying their conquest outside on the walls of Rahab’s chamber, and – in the beta version of the game – the sighting of a dead and burned Turelim under water in the constrictable drill chamber. It is a possibility that after the Abbey was drowned by water, the Turelim withdrawn and Rahab with his clan took over the area instead. The clan pupating method was observed in the form of a seemingly algae covered webby cocoon latched to the water floor with a sleeping sphere in it. It was tied or anchored to the ground with a thread like substance which was strong enough to withold the pupating pod against the underwater currents. Some more vigilant individuals could ambush from this state, like all other seen pupating methods. The lead artist of the Legacy of Kain series, Daniel Cabuco, described Rahabim´s role as "artisans, explorers, special forces". It is likely they have been used as scouts to spy on the humans in the City, as one fledgling Rahabim is found by Raziel in the water reservoir of the City.

Jurassic World 2: Fallen Kingdom
Shin Mefilas replied to Shin Mefilas's topic in General 'whatever'.
Full Trailer Lot of new dinos and some old faithful's. Carnotaurus This one is old and new. The Carno first appeared in the Novel version of The Lost World. in the novel it was depicted as an ambush predator with the ability to change it skin colour to perfectly blend in with its background and was more of a nocturnal/dusk hunter as it could not hid itself in direct sunlight. The purpose of this as to show just how little we understood about dinosaurs . It would late show up the Jurassic Park: Redemption comics acting as a stereotypical predatory animal that lacked it former camo ability. It also showed up in a Jurassic Park 3 novel and as a semi-boss in the Lost World PS1 Game. However this is its first on screen appearance. Baryonyx The new kid on the block, Baryonyx was first hinted at back during Jurassic Worlds promotional build up as an attraction at the park. While it was never seen it was depicted in the films websight. A smaller cousin of Spinosaurus it is thought to have been predominately a fish eater although it would hunt prey on land as well. Brachiosaurus Technically the first ever dinosaur to be seen in full in the film part of the franchise, Brachiosaurus is one of the most iconic dinosaurs ever put on film. It had to pretty iconic scenes in the first film and has almost always popped up in most of the series games. Apatosaurus In the novel this was the original sauropod found in Jurassic Park but was swapped out for the Brachi in the first film. While it did pop up in the Lost World film, because it lost its spot to the Brachi its not show up much in other Jurassic Park works until JW, the only time of note I can think of was the LW Arcade Shooter. One interesting and disgusting fact from the novel was that Apatosaurus dung proved to be a real issue because it would not decompose quickly likely due to what ever bacteria that would have naturally broken it down being extinct. Compsognathus While mostly remember from the Lost World Film, this nasty little beasts first showed up on the original novel. Created as a natural clean up crew for the parks meaty leftovers and dino droppings, the compys were probably the single most cloned dinosaur by Ingen. But proved to be very troublesome in their own right. They were the first dinosaurs documented to have escaped and thrived in the outside world. Opportunistic hunters as well as scavengers, Compys were responsible for multiple attacks on children and infant mortalities. They had somewhat poisonous bite weakened their victims making them easy prey. As a rule though they don't attack anything too big, healthy or strong and run at the low end of the food chain. In reality they were likely not poisonous but it was likely included, along with another poisonous dino, to show just how little we understand about these animals and how difficult it is to control something you don't understand. Dilophosaurus Probably the most drastically altered dinosaur I the whole franchise. The one depicted above is how it was described in the novel, which match's up with what we know, along with its size. As you can see it was a relatively big animal. The inclusion of poison was again done to show just how little we understood about these creatures and how dangerous it was to try and shove them in a zoo without any kind of proper study. In the novel all the dinosaurs presented issues one way or another and the Dilos were one of the more extreme examples. Their unprecedented ability to spit venom combined with their size made working with them incredible dangerous. Robert Muldoon, the parks game keeper, was particularly worried about what would happen to visitors when the park opened as the only thing between them and a glob of venom was a roll down window. Attempt to remove the venom sacs had proven fruitless as they had no idea were they were located and the animal nearly died during surgery resulting in them being forbad from further examination until one of them died. On the movie they were altered so as not to compete with the Rex and Raptors. Many fans have come up with a host of excuses for this, such as them being juveniles, but really the only explanation that fits is that the movie Dilos are the result of genetic splicing causing unforeseen results. While a key dinosaur in the first film and novel, outside of games the odd comic these guys have been on the back burner for a while. -
Alpharius Omegon (also known as the Aleph Null, The Hydra, the Threefold Serpent, The Final Configuration and the Last Primarch) was one of the twenty Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind in the earliest days of the Imperium of Man, just after the end of the Age of Strife in the 30th Millennium. In truth, Alpharius Omegon was actually a pair of identical twin brothers, one named Alpharius and the other Omegon. Of all the Primarchs of the Legiones Astartes, Alpharius was without a doubt the most steeped in mystery, legend, contradiction and deliberate falsification. The Primarch of the Alpha Legion shrouded himself in mystery, often moving unseen even amongst the ranks of his own Legion. However, when the time came to cast off the cloak of misdirection, Alpharius was as awe-inspiring a being as any of his other brother Primarchs. Clad in armour forged in the manner of some terrifying beast of ancient Terran myth and armed with a fearsome panoply of weapons of unknown provenance, Alpharius bestrode the battlefield like a figure from legend. Like the hydra he and his XXth Legion had taken as their symbol, Alpharius fought by repeated attacks from multiple and unexpected quarters. None could predict where or how the Primarch would strike, what weapons he would bring to bear or which of his many different forms would fight at his side. In many cases, the enemy were not even aware they were fighting the Alpha Legion until the very moment battle was joined, at which point they were already doomed to total and utter defeat at the hands of this most cunning, devious and duplicitous of all the Primarchs of the ancient Space Marine Legions.Like the other Primarchs, Alpharius and his twin brother Omegon were transported from the Emperor's gene-lab beneath the Himalazian (Himalayan) Mountains of Terra through the Warp by the Chaos Gods and placed on a far-away world in an attempt to prevent the coming of the Age of the Imperium and the expansion of the ordered Imperium of Man across the Milky Way Galaxy. Alpharius Omegon was eventually rediscovered by the Primarch Horus and sent to meet his father the Emperor on Terra, who placed him (and secretly, his brother) in command of the XXth Legion, the so-called Alpha Legion, during the Great Crusade of the late 30th Millennium. The greatest secret of the Alpha Legion's Primarch is apparently told to no one outside the XXth Legion, and has always been thus. For, unlike any of the other Primarchs, Alpharius actually has an identical twin: Omegon. It is unknown if the Emperor intended this when He created the Last Primarch, or was ever even aware that His final Primarch's engineered embryo had split into two identical fetuses during their gestation before they were stolen away by the Ruinous Powers. Alpharius and Omegon are both the co-equal Primarchs of the Alpha Legion, although "Alpharius" was the public face of the XXth Legion and appeared as the more senior of the two. Though as both Primarchs were physically identical it is possible for them to switch places and have "Omegon" play the public role of the Alpha Legion's Primarch. They have been described as "one soul in two bodies" and collectively have been referred to as simply "Alpharius Omegon". While the Astartes of the Alpha Legion made attempts to all look alike, both Alpharius and Omegon were still somewhat distinctive. Taller than the rest of the Legion, slightly copper-skinned, bald and possessed of a heavy brow, they somewhat resembled their brother Primarch Horus. Unlike him, Alpharius and Omegon had piercing eyes that seemed to glitter, appearing to shift colour from a cold arctic blue to a shimmering green. The overall impression given by Alpharius Omegon was one of nobility and intelligence. One way to tell the two twin Primarchs apart was when Omegon was serving as the commander of his Effrit Stealth Squad; large portions of his Power Armour and other gear were painted black and otherwise darkened. The armour worn by Alpharius was not particularly different from that of an ordinary Alpha Legionary. When such theatrics were required, both Alpharius and Omegon - or one of their surrogates - could appear as regally and stunning than any other Primarch. The Alpha Legion was the XX Legion of the original twenty Space Marine Legions. They turned against the Emperor during the Horus Heresy, becoming Chaos Space Marines. Even before they turned to Chaos, the Alpha Legion were renowned as the most secretive of all the Legions. They make extensive preparations before actually attacking an imperial target, including using spies and corruption to weaken an enemy's resolve. Not only is an enemy attacked from every angle, but every attack is often coordinated to achieve the most destructive results. Many actions are planned to utilise and support local cultist activity. These cults go to considerable effort to spread propaganda, perform sabotage, and carry out acts of unrest and rebellion, providing a distraction and weakening the enemy before the Alpha Legion strikes. Furthermore, the Legion has been known to ally themselves with anti-imperial forces including other Traitor Legions and xenos. On worlds far away from the Eye of Terror, Daemons are less relied upon since they cannot remain stable for long enough to be useful. If the Alpha Legion succeeds in securing the belief of a local Chaos cult they are summoned to add to the variety of their attacks. The Alpha Legion does not fight like any other Chaos Space Marine Legion or warband. They prefer to avoid direct combat, using subterfuge, infiltration, sabotage, brainwashing, and meticulous multi-year plans to destroy their enemies as opposed to a simple attack. The very identities of Alpha Legion Marines is the subject of mystery. Their supposed identities are frequently aliases which are shared by cell members, meaning the name and identity of one Alpha Legion marine could refer to many. Genetic face-changing technology is utilized to change the appearance of Legionaries to confound Imperial authorities as to their real identity. Due to this habit of shared aliases, members of the Alpha Legion often refer to themselves as part of a greater collective identity. When they do show themselves, Alpha Legion Marines prefer to let their cultists and underlings absorb most of the combat while they wait for the decisive moment to strike or make their escape. The final overwhelming push by the massed forces of the Legion at the precise moment the enemy is at its weakest from subterfuge is known as The Harrowing. Unlike most of the other Chaos Space Marine Legions, the Alpha Legion rarely operates within the Eye of Terror. As a result, they have not been subjected to the time distortion that the Warp has given to other Traitor Marines, leading many in the Inquisition to debate how the Legion, now ten thousand years since the Heresy, is still active. According to Inquisitor Kravin, the Alpha Legion acquires new recruits, genetically modifies them, then trains them for missions all within Imperial territory itself.

Which Space Marine Legion Primarch at you? https://www.buildquizzes.com/QUN1ROG - And like a total idiot I forgot to post the link . For reference. The Primarchs were the 20 genetically-engineered transhuman sons of the Emperor of Mankind created in the late 30th Millennium after the end of the Unification Wars. They were intended to be the immortal and superhuman leaders who would command the Emperor's Great Crusade to reunite the scattered human race beneath His leadership. Their genomes later served as the genetic templates from which the Emperor crafted His 20 Space Marine Legions. They were bred to be perfect generals, warriors and statesmen; larger, stronger, faster, and smarter than any normal human could ever hope to be. They possessed a charisma and martial prowess that made them like the mythical gods of old, untouchable by disease, old age or supposedly the petty failings of lesser men. The Primarchs were the Emperor's answer to reclaiming all the lost worlds of Mankind, and welcoming them into His new Imperium. The Emperor intended to raise His sons to be the best military commanders and political leaders Mankind had ever known, and they would bring the Imperial Truth to the rest of the human-settled galaxy in their father's name. Yet for all their gifts, the Primarchs were still men, and in the end their very human flaws would become the primary obstacle to the realisation of the Emperor's great dream for Mankind. Note - The Quiz dose not give info on each of the primarchs but I'll happy provide the info afterwards. I got Ferrus Manus - Primarch of the Iron Hands. Ferrus Manus, also known as The Gorgon, was the Primarch of the Iron Hands Space Marine Legion, a master smith known for creating weapons that were able to inspire awe in any who saw them, such as the sword he created for Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children Legion or the Bolter he crafted for Vulkan, the Primarch of the Salamanders Legion, said to have a barrel designed to look like the gaping mouth of a dragon. Ferrus' hands were covered in the metallic substance known as necrodermis and he needed no hammer or flame to create beauty through metallurgy, using only his exceptionally powerful hands to mold and shape molten metal. Ferrus forged his closest bond with his brother Fulgrim, but this relationship ultimately ended in tragedy after Fulgrim fell to Chaos during the Horus Heresy. During the Drop Site Massacre on the world of Istvaan V at the start of the Heresy, Fulgrim decapitated Ferrus with a daemonic sword, an action that ultimately marked the point of no return on his path to becoming a Daemon Prince of the Chaos God Slaanesh. The Iron Hands have a reputation for being relatively straightforward and incredibly harsh. In the Battle of Thranx, for example, the resources of several depleted clan-companies were pooled for a full-frontal assault using five Land Raiders against a facility bristling with anti-tank defences that had made a mockery of previous attempts with whole armoured companies; in the retaking of the Contqual Subsector, one-third of the population was summarily executed after a successful campaign simply to demonstrate the price of weakness. They are also known to be on poor terms with the Raven Guard and after the liberation of the Kelldar System from an Ork Waaagh! in 810.M41 refused to sit at the same feasting table as their Raven Guard allies. The Iron Hands are infamous for their extensive use of bionics, which has helped bring them into a close relationship with the Adeptus Mechanicus. After the Heresy, when the Legions were reorganized into Chapters, the Iron Hands became recluses, attempting to find ways to make themselves even stronger so that they would be fit for serving under Manus again at the end of times. To this end, they have made it a practice to make extensive use of bionic modifications, going so far that there are rumors of some battle brothers being wholly mechanical. Iron Hands consider the greatest honour they can receive is to be interred in Dreadnought armour. The Iron Hands also eschew the traditional office of Chaplain in favor of their Iron Fathers, specially trained Techmarines who serve to protect the faith of their brethren; some outsiders view this, as well as the Iron Hands' ties to the Adeptus Mechanicus, as an unhealthy relationship.

Future Jason In the future Jason was captured by the United States government and held at the Crystal Lake Research Facility. During that time his unique traits, especially his regenerative powers, were studied with great interest. While he was incarcerated, Jason underwent multiple executions which included but was not limited to electrocution, gassing, firing squad and even hanging. Predictably nothing worked. It was eventually decided that if he could no be killed he should at least be permanently disabled by freezing him. However one of the facilities doctors had become to obsessed with Jason's abilities and wished to study him further, going so far as to convince his superiors of this behind the head researcher's , Olivia LaFontaine back. When Olivia found out the truth and confronted him but as they debated with eachother the worst happened. Jason broke free from his restraints and began to massacre the facilities staff and security. on her own and with few options, she lead him to the cryo chamber and locked him. However as she watched Jason begin to freeze Jason stabbed though the door and injured her as well as allowing the cryogenic mist to flood the room, freezing Olivia on the brink of death. Future Jason sports dirty blue overalls much like Eternal Jason only these sport a very noticeable amount of gunshot damage. His brown strait jacket is in much the same condition if not worse as on some occasions it looks more like he wearing rags. gloves wise he's sporting some black fingerless gloves. One unique part of the outfit is the manacles around his arms and neck with broken chains hanging of them. While this Jason dose have quit a bit of hair its very patch and appears to he poorly kept. His mask is new, with a more close fitting and harder edged design then any of his other masks, it also only has the forehead chevron. The overall texture of the mask is also different, giving it an almost polished stone like look. The axe wound damage now back. The mask is somewhat like Eternal Jason's as it appears to be digging into the flesh around his face although not to the save severity. Not counting Deadite Jason, Jason's face under the mask it probably the best its looked for years...by his standard. While deformed and wrinkly the flesh is much more healthier looking then its been since his Undead resurrection. His left eye is back to being partially closed with what looks like scaring running from the eye around the side of his head. His upper lip on the right side of his face his missing. Jason and Olivia remand in cryogenic stasis until 2455. Its unknown exactly what happened in the wake of Jason's rampage but is possible that facility was abandoned or locked down after it was discovered what had happened and that Jason was contained. Olivia was likely presumed dead and if not is was likely thought of as to dangerous to try and recover her. In the year 2455 a group of students and their teacher came across the facility during a class on a field trip to the old Earth. The Earth had become uninhabitable many years prior and the human race and moved to Earth II as well as having space colonies. Upon discovering Jason and Olivia they decided to bring them back to their ship, The Grendel. On the ship it was discovered that Olivia could be resurrected using their nanite technology. While this was being done Jason was sent down to the lab to be examined. After being revived Olivia was grateful if in shock about her situation, but when he learned that Jason had also been brought aboard with her she desperately tried to make the trips teacher understand that Jason was to dangerous and that people would die if him should he come back to life once more. Undenounced to her the teacher had been planning to sell of Jason's body as his killing sprees were still well known even after all these centuries and to the right buyer his corpse would be worth a fortune. However in the middle of being examined by an intern, Jason thawed, killed her, grabbed a surgical tool, and began stalking the corridors of the spaceship, killing off the students and the hired security. Jason's machinations resulted in it crashing into the space station The Solaris, destroying it and crippling the ship, which began falling apart. As the survivors, Olivia included, tried to escape via shuttle, Jason murdered the engineer, causing Kinsa, an already unbalanced student to break down and try to activate the shuttle prematurely, and dies in the process. Cornering everyone in the docking bay, Jason met his match when one of the students personal android, KM-14, confronted him after having been updated with combat capabilities by her creator. After being riddled with thousands of bullets and having an arm, a leg and his head blown off, it seems like Jason had finally been put down.... ...However Jason's body had fallen on to the medical nanite machine. The machine either due to damage or for some darker reason activated and nanites spilled out onto Jason's ravaged body. Unable to restore Jason on their own the nanites canalised equipment from around the room to help restore his body. This resulted in the birth of Uber-Jason Uber-Jason With his new body, Jason easily defeated KM-14 and pursued the survivors. It was only though the destroying of the Grendel and the sacrifice of the last security officer that Jason was defeated by sending him hurtling into Earth II atmosphere were he burned up on re-entry. All that was left of him was his mask which fell into a lake. But Jason cannot die, he can never die and now that was more true then ever. The mask still held some on the nanites and Jason's DNA and in time the killer rose again! Uber-Jason is probably the most radical redesign of the character. What cloths he did have were altered into a single piece of black marital that covers his right leg, he right arm & torso and around the base of his neck. His left leg and his right arm & torso, the parts of his body most damaged by KM-14, are now well defined muscle heavily infused with metal giving him a cyborg like appearance. The visible flesh around the metal reddish and raw. The skin on his head by contrast is pale and while abnormal in texture his head lacks its normal malformation. His mask has been restored and improved, now infused with metal and now possesses and almost skull like shape. Both his eyes have been fully restored but are now an angry red colour. Uber-Jason is far more powerful then any version of Jason before him, being powerful enough to punch his way through a spaceships hull. He is also shown to be completely resistance to bullets as the just bounce right off him. This also shows that cloth covered parts of his body are just as durable as his metal parts. He's also shown to be able to survive in the vacuum of space. Along with the movie and its novelisation (which is far superior to the film) Jason X had 4 spin-off novels and 2 comics. Jason X: The Experiment is written by the same person who wrote the films novel adaption and he dose a pretty dame good job, with a superior story as well as expanding on Jason. However from here it all fell down, the company who produced these novels also did several Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street novels in each case they were stand alone stories that were generally ok to good but for some reason they did the opposite with Jason X. First all the novels try to tie into each other goes from ok to terrible. Planet of the Beast is ok but suffers from A) while the setting maybe different one of its major plot points is a copy and past from Experiment, B) there are some notable continuity errors such as Jason's eyes being blue when Uber-Jason's eyes are red (made worse by the fact his face in on the front cover) and C) the author has been hamstringed by events in Experiment. Death Moon is possible the single worse piece of fiction I've ever payed to read, the story is is disjoined and poorly written that is almost unreadable. I never read To the Third Power because it ties into Death Moon and as I've said I could barely make heads or tails of just what the hell was going on. Simple put Jason X started of with some pretty amazing novels that fell to mediocre to unbelievably terrible very quickly and I personally feel they would have been better if they has just been stand alone stories then tied to an over arcing narrative that in its way poisoned the well rather the help. The comics are pretty ok with one of them being Jason vs Jason X, in which a pure clone of Jason is created from Uber-Jason and the to clash. Uber-Jason gains a number of powers in the expanded works. With his nanites he can regenerate even faster, even from small fragments of himself. The nanites can also allow him to phase though matter, partially or completely absorb bullets fired at him to increase his size, strength and durability, enabled him to drive and use more complex tools, enabled him to sense energy sources along with his own supernatural ability so sense others. Had he followed the nanites desires he could have absorbed the energy from a power plant to magnify his strength further. But here in lays a problem. Uber-Jason is at odds with the nanites in his body. While they help they are also a nuisance, they desire to replicate and grow more powerful while Uber-Jason just wants to kill. When the nanites showed that they could allow him to sneak into a building undetected by phasing through the door, Uber-Jason refused and just smashed the door down. He also ignored their desire to go after the reactor in favour of more killing. They also created a weakness he didn't have before, the nanites are interwoven with his entire body and when they are paralysed by the right electric current he is rendered completely immobile. During the course of the story however Uber-Jason is abandoned by the nanites causing him to lose many of the abilities they granted him although he retains his increased power and durability minus the weakness they gave him. In one of the comic the nanites assist him in breaking free from a holding cell but nothing else. From what I can make out from the later novels Jason is upgraded with "Cyber" tech. Exactly what that is I cannot remember but they also say he's still got nanotech. On the whole Uber-Jason is my personal favourite version of Jason as he was the first one I saw. The novels also help making him pretty interesting and its one of the few occasions were going to space was not a totally bad idea for a slasher, especially were some of the novels were considered.

Ok a lot of stuff for the movie and it tie in novel Monster Apocalypse! Artwork Images of other Kaiju. Orga Dogora Dagahra The novel is something of a chronical, detail the appearances of other kaiju over the years before the humans are force to leave earth. I'll give some of the basic info on each here as the novel is not set for an English release as of yet. Kamacuras: The first Kamacuras was killed by bunker buster bombs after attacking New York in 1999. By the 2030's numerous Kamacuras inhabited the U.S., along with Kumonga. Dogora: Killed by spider venom being released from chemical plants in the UK and Europe in 2002 after it attacked London. Kamoebas: At least four individuals appeared. The fourth Kamoebas washed ashore dead on Odo Island in 2030, and was the first evidence of the existence of Godzilla. Rodan: The first Rodan attacked Beijing with the first Anguirus in 2005, but they were both killed by Hedorah. However, sometime later flocks of Rodan were present in Siberia and preyed upon refugees fleeing Europe. Anguirus: The first Anguirus was killed by Hedorah along with Rodan in 2005. A second Anguirus attacked South Africa a year later, but its fate is unknown. A fourth Anguirus was killed by Godzilla in Los Angeles in 2030, along with Varan II and Baragon II. Hedorah: Hedorah was a bioweapon created by the Chinese, but went out of control after it killed Rodan and Anguirus. It destroyed Beijing and Tianjin, then vanished after it consumed all pollutants in the area. It's safe to say Hedorah's fate is unknown. Gabara: Was injured in an explosion and fell into a river and was eaten alive by crocodiles and piranhas. Gabara was only about 10 meters tall, so he was smaller than many of the other kaiju. Dagahra: Dagahra attacked Australia in 2017, and was eventually fatally wounded by the Australian military and flew out to sea and died. However upon death he released a ton of Barems into Australian waters, which arguably caused more devastation than him. Orga: Orga attacked Turkey in 2022. No details are given about his defeat, but it gives the impression that he was stopped. Megalon: Megalon appeared in 2012 and destroyed several countries along the west coast of Africa. He returned in 2022 and completely destroyed South Africa. No details on his fate. Griffon: Appeared in Cairo in 2021. They were seemingly defeated before they could reproduce and spread. Gezora: Terrorized the Mediterranean in the late 2010's, hindering refugee movement out of Europe. Fate unknown. Giant Octopus: Lived in the Pacific Ocean, and sank several fishing boats and transport vessels every year. Fate unknown. Ganimes: Attacked American crab fishing boats in the Bering Sea. Fate unknown. Manda: First appeared in the Atlantic in 2022 and terrorized it for years. He was finally destroyed by the Gotengo in the Strait of Dover 2039 as part of "Operation: Eternal Light," a mission to regain control of the Atlantic Ocean from the kaiju. Varan: Multiple individuals appeared, but the second Varan was killed by Godzilla in Los Angeles in 2030. Baragon: Same case as Varan. Multiple individuals appeared, but Baragon II was killed by Godzilla in LA in 2030. Maguma: Destroyed North Korea in 2024 then moved into South Korea. Once Maguma approached Seoul, the U.S. launched a tactical nuke and killed him. Kumonga: Lived alongside Kamacuras in the U.S. in the 2030's. No details on its fate or how many there were. Megaguirus: No details yet. Biollante: Appeared off the coast of Normandy in 2039 as "Operation: Eternal Light" was underway and took G-Force by surprise. She was defeated by Moguera when it burrowed into her roots and destroyed her "heart." Gorosaurus: Appeared in Paris after Godzilla destroyed it. Gorosaurus was killed by the combined efforts of G-Force and the Bilsards in 2039. Zilla: When the first Zilla was killed it was misidentified by the French as Godzilla because it also was a bipedal creature with back fins and a long tail. Unfortunately Zilla was capable of asexual reproduction and quickly overran France, and frequently preyed upon refugees fleeing from Godzilla himself. Zilla was eventually wiped out by G-Force, but at great cost and difficulty. Godzilla: Is hit with 150 nuclear bombs and survives. He destroyed Los Angeles with a few blasts from his atomic breath. His power is so destructive that the POTUS kills himself. And know for some of the latest poster and tv spots.

Getter Emperor A gigantic being described as the final evolution of the Getter. Wielding godlike power, it continually absorbs matter on a universal scale. It is depicted as neither a malevolent or benevolent force. Getter Emperor has currently only been seen in the form of 'Getter Emperor 1' which follows the traditional Getter 1 design, and expands upon it. Other forms are speculated to follow the same pattern as the Shin Getter Robo manga shows two other components. Getter Emperor is an ever-expanding mech typically depicted at a galactic scale. Its components are composed of three large starships with the heads of the Getter 1-3 formations that are able to combine. Each Getter Machine is armed with a Getter Beam capable of destroying an entire planet, with the complete machine's Getter Beam capable of traveling over 400 million light-years. This in turn helped jump start numerous evolutionary paths. It is also surrounded by a Getter Energy barrier that makes it impervious to all other weapons. The machine's own size likely gives it a powerful gravitational field and the corrosive nature of concentrated Getter Rays cause incompatible matter, energy, and space to be consumed. Its entire energy pool equates the output to the Big Bang and just its combination into Getter Emperor One caused galaxies to quake. The Getter can also manipulate space enough to destroy a subspace. Its ties to the Getter Rays gives it limited omniscience and allows it to stay steps ahead of an opponent. The more Emperor consumes the more powerful it becomes, with no limits to its evolution. It is also supported by smaller Getter Machine star ships. Some of the ships are equipped with weapons not as powerful as Emperor and have equipment that contain data and memories of beings tied to the Getter Rays like Musashi Tomoe to create clones. It is heavily implicated that Emperor is just a highly evolved form of the Getter Robo G, after it had been buried by Benkei and gone into a cocoon state for many years, although it can also be stated to be the final evolution of any Getter Robo. It could also have been the result of Shin Getter Robo absorbing the planet Mars after landing on it.Getter Emperor is a massive, ever-expanding Getter robot existing in the far future. It signifies the unstoppable force of Getter Rays, and poses a threat to all life in the universe as a result of its sheer size and power. In all appearances of Shin Getter Robo, the Emperor has been alluded to; usually either the Emperor itself or the appearance of the Emperor's equivalent of the Eagle Machine.Getter Emperor's first official appearance was in the manga Shin Getter Robo. Here, it is depicted in the distant future terrorizing an alien armada called the Andromeda Country. This prompts one of its smaller vessels to travel back to the era of the creation of the Emperor's possible larval form: Shin Getter Robo. After a grueling struggle, the enormous vessel is pulled - along with Ryoma Nagare and Hayato Jin in Shin Getter Robo - back to its native era where it is destroyed by Getter Emperor. After Ryoma and Hayato ponder the meaning of this enormous Getter, they are sent back to their own time.Emperor appeared again somewhere in the future where a fleet of humans used it to fight against the Andromeda Country. Humanity had been fighting a long war with the Andromeda Country and was on the brink of losing until Emperor appeared from a forgotten solar system. With this new power, humanity spread across space and conquered countless worlds. The humans saw Getter as their salvation, enemies saw Emperor as an all-consuming force that needed to be prevented from coming into existence.

Mazinger ZERO In the comic Shin Mazinger Z it is revelled that within the robot Mazinger Z resides a hidden power....."Majin Power" Mazinger Z features a unique system of seven black boxes that hold the hidden power of the Mazinger Z, each black box allows a new ability and can be utilized by its pilot outside of the mecha seen when Koji is able to use the Prediction of Higher Order. The black boxes are: Regeneration: When damaged, this can allow repairs in a fraction of a second. Assimilation: Allows Mazinger Z to absorb energy attacks and convert it into its power source. Strengthening: Powers up the armor and reactor core, can be combined with the Metamorphosis black box's abilities. Prediction of Higher Order: Can predict the probability of an event that is close to 100% based on the behavior of an enemy, allowing Z to change undesirable outcomes. Metamorphosis: Causes a transformation on part of the body or attachments for versatile attacks and abilities. Can be used with other black boxes such as Strengthening. Reality Manipulation: Allows the Mazinger and pilot to see events that have happened in parallel worlds, allows both Mazinger and pilot to adapt to situations that would either damage or destroy Mazinger Z. This allows Z and its pilot to call upon their alternate counterparts to aid them in battle. With enough thoughts and backing, the pilot can also create situations including a barrage of Rocket Punches. Majin Change: Incorporates the pilot into Mazinger's frame while combining all of the other black boxes at full power to allow the transformation into Mazinger ZERO. It is also capable of changing the terrain into a wasteland and even destroy the entire planet. Mazinger ZERO is Mazinger Z's true awakened form and embodies the words its creator stated long ago, "With its power you can become a god or a devil!". ZERO is described as the "Ultimate Devil" and in almost every timeline it has ever appeared in the earth was destroyed. This is because when 7th change's fusion of pilot and machine send both into a frenzy that causes them to rampage until everything is destroyed! ZERO possesses a sentient artificial intelligence that merges with its pilot, allowing it to move without one and even have a personality. ZERO desires to be the only super robot in existence and the presence of another Mazinger is one of the things that can set it off, desiring the destruction of this obstacle above all else. Due to the link between the pilot and Z, if any of the pilots possess a state of madness ZERO will be activated. After consuming multiple timelines, ZERO had managed to become its own independent entity no longer held back by a pilot or even a reality. So powerful, it can influence other realities where it is the only Mazinger or super robot in all of existence. The only threat to ZERO however was its main pilot, Koji Kabuto who was influenced by the changing timelines and control the Reality Manipulation Black Box. Breast Fire: A stronger variation of the standard attack capable of incinerating whatever opponent is in its path. During its first use, it melted the entire Kanto region, vaporized Tokyo Bay, and exposed Earth's mantle. Final Breast Nova: An even more powerful variation where ZERO's photonic energy is pushed to its limits and releases a blast of energy that manages to penetrate the atmosphere and melt through an opponent's armor. This attack completely obliterated the lower body of Great Mazinkaiser. Rust Hurricane: A blackened and stronger version of the standard version. It has enough power to obliterate Mount Fuji and cause devastation on a global scale with a single use. Iron Cutter: Through the use of the Metamorphosis black box, ZERO causes the blade on its arm to form a gigantic blade around its fist before being fired at an enemy, bisecting them. It can cut through Super Alloy New Z with ease. Koshiryoku Beam: After closing the eyes and opening them, ZERO releases a beam of photonic energy before it separates into a barrage of smaller beams capable of massive destruction. Each beam has enough power to pierce through Earth.

Guyver (pre gigantic and Exceed) vs Doomsday (1992)
Shin Mefilas replied to PowerofGuyver's topic in Guyver
I did have a reason for that but after mulling over what you said I have to admite your right. what I was using for comparison was Savage Land Vibraniam also known as anti-metal which gives of vibrations that allow it to cut through any metal but then I realised that it's power is meant to trump any metal not any material it comes into contact with. So your right. The only other things I know of that can break adamantiame are Thor's hammer and some magic sword wolverine's used that cuts on the molecular level but both are magic weapons and function with different rules to guyvers blades. Wakanda vibrainam can stop a high frequency blade to right? -
Guyver (pre gigantic and Exceed) vs Doomsday (1992)
Shin Mefilas replied to PowerofGuyver's topic in Guyver
Well lets start with understanding the nature of the beast. Doomsday is just as strong as Superman and unlike the man of steel he's not prone to pulling his punches, one solid blown and a normal guyver is dead. To make things worse Doomsday is just as fast and durable. So he's practically invulnerable. His bone spikes are also sharp enough to cut the seemingly invulnerable Kal-EL. Also while almost mindless Superman has noted several times that Doomsday is not a dumb beast type fighter and will actually adapt his attack style to suit the situation, not as in real fighting skill but Doomsday will for example throw objects at a flying target rather then just jump at them blindly. He has two real weaknesses. He's almost mindless and single minded, he only thinks about destroying and unless something really gets his attention he has been know to just ignore a foe if their out of his line of sight or something else catch's his eye. This also makes his movements easy to predict outside of combat so he can be easily led into traps. The other is that since he cannot fly he's more vulnerable in the air were his movements are restricted although with his reflexes and senses it can be hard to get the drop on him. So this is a pretty tall order for the a guyver and if we are talking Doomsday post Death of Superman when you have his insane reactive adaption powers to deal with. As I see it a normal guyver is an ant to Doomsday. Gigantic is powerful enough to brawl with 100 ton+ marvel power houses but Doomsday is on a whole other level from them, he's fast enough to actually out pass gigantic as well and to make it worse Gigantic is known for being less agile in melee combat. Exceed will last longerby being tougher and stronger but is not shown any sign of being Superman OP level powerful and its large size could be a hindrance agenst a smaller foe who's as fast and hits as hard as Doomsday. Doomsdays take on Supe's heat vision and Darkseid's Omega beams, so your right the head beams and Mega-Smasher are really not going to make a dent in him. Likewise brute force is a no go, it takes a being of OP Krytonian level strength to even begin to hurt Doomsday though brute force alone and no form of the guyver is that strong. In theory the High Frequency Blades can cut through almost anything, they should even be able to cut through metals like adamantium. So their is a chance they will cut Doomsday. But you'd have to make it count. Doomdsay's body is almost a complete solid mass with Kryptionian level durability and he has healed almost instantly from a slashing wound Superman gave him once. Cutting of an arm or a bone spike will hurt him but that's about it along with just pissing him off as he cannot bleed out since his body has minimal fluids to. You'd need to take his head clean off and given what your up aganst that not easy. As far as I know Doomsdays never been up against gravity attacks so they may work but the same issue comes up, Doomdsay has Superman level durability and unless you basically take his head off or blown a huge hole in him your wasting time. The sonic buster would be by far the best tool for the job but Doomsdays already developed some resistance to sonics during his second fight with Superman and he adapted very quickly to it By far the single best chance the guyver has to beat Doomsday is the Gravity Implosion. It could be enough to kill him if it hits but it takes time to charge and Doomsday is insanely fast. The real big problem is that the guyver is only going to get one shot at this, if they mess up they risk having Doomsday adapt to the weapons that did affect him and then they are screwed. If I was the guyver doing this I'd much rather fight the Hulk then Doomsday but there is a way. A head on attack is basically suicide with any guyver variant. The best and safest bet is to blast him with the GI asap because the Pressure Cannon is not a guarantied kill shot if it hits and the blades require getting close which is were Doomsday holds all the cards especially if you mess up your first attack. The best I can come up with is to dismember Doomsday and launch him into the air or better yet just trick him into jumping really high, then go Exceed and while he's in mid air charge and blast him with the Gravity Implosion. -
As a little something for Halloween I decided to talk about who I feel was the ultimate slasher. Now I know what your thinking, Jason Voorhees. He by far the most popular and has the highest body count. But I feel that body count dose not really as big a badge of honour as some think. Many slashers primary targets are teens, young adults with little or no skills that would allow them to deal with such an encounter which is mad even more unfair by the many advantages the killer has over them. Also as we all know popularity doesn't make the greatest. So who do I think was the Ultimate? That would be Matt Cordell - The Maniac Cop Matt Cordell was one of New Yorks finest. A hulk of a man, Matt was a good hearted as well as well respected by his fellow police, although there were rumours that he had violent streak and little regard for police protocol. He was often described as a "Super Cop". Eventfully Cordell's darker side got the better of him and he was arrested and charged with 'People's Rights Violations'. After that he was incarcerated at Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Things only got worse from there, being a cop in prison meant Matt was marked the moment he set foot in the door, being a dirty cop who roughed up crooks meant he's life was automatically in danger and if that was not bad enough Sing Sing housed quite a few criminals he had put away himself. The man may has well have been given a death sentence. Matt was attacked and mutilated by the Sing Sing inmates and the prison doctor declared him dead despite the fact Cordell showed very faint signs of life but was braindead. Upon hearing of his fate his wife and fellow police officer Sally Cordell attempted suicide but only succeeded in breaking and losing some of the use of her leg. It would later be uncovers that in reality Cordell was on the trail of the corrupt mayor and an number of police officials and would not walk away, so he was framed for the crimes he was accused of and its possible the rumours him being violent were also unfounded as well. Some time later a rash of murders began sweeping with eye witness accounts and evidence pointing to the killer being a cop. Panic began sweeping the streets a citizens lost faith in the police force and in some cases officers were killed by people feared they were what the papers called the "Manic Cop". However Detectives Frank McCrae, who had been the first to suspect that cop was involved, came to know the truth, Matt Cordell was back and after revenge. There has always been a lot of mystery surrounding Cordell. First and for most is alive or dead! During his first outing none was sure. Cordell had apparently survived his attack but been left braindead so one would think this was just a case of him somehow merely being in a comma and wakening up. However a number of facts did not at up to this theory. A survivor of Cordell's attacks stated that he his hands felt unnaturally cold and another clamed they shot Cordell multiple times yet it seem to have no effect. He also displayed super human strength as he is able to break peoples neck just by squeezing and throws others around like ragdolls with little effort. Later appearances clearly lean towards him being some form of undead his face visibly a more decaying quality but how he came back is never explained. While he is resurrected by voodoo in the third film there is no evidence to suggest this was how he came back before. So know you know a little of his backstory why do I think he's the ultimate slasher? Well to put it simple this Maniac Cop has all the traits of many other hulking slashes to the highest degree combined with a unique set of skills and traits unique to himself. In terms of raw power, Cordell easily rivals the undead juggernaut Jason Vorhees. While not prone to quite the same levels of brutality as Jason, Cordell has easily snapped necks, hung people with their own belts all by himself, brutally slammed a women into a wall until she died, sent a man hurtling through the air with just one hand and thrown another with enough force to make them fly through multiple precinct cubicals without his momentum slowing! In terms of durability and regeneration Cordell may actually be superior to the Crystal Lake Killer as he apparently feels no pain at all, can absorb gunshots while barely flinching, being set on fire and stopping a chainsaw with his bare hand. He also appears to be able to heal the damage rapidly and perfectly. The best example being when he was shot in multiple times at point blank range, twice in the face, yet didn't react and never displayed any kind of gunfire damage to his face later on. The largest amount of damage he suffered was being driven into a large steal pipe at high speed, impaled, and then crashing to a river. On the whole Cordell dose not possess any kind exploitable weakness which put him in stark contrasted to many of his fellow slashers. The only real way to beat him is to give him what he wants. When it comes to killing what Cordell lacks in quantity he makes up for in quality. In his first outing he killed 21 people on screen. To give that context Jason only killed 10 people in his first film and his highest score was 24. Michael Myers killed seven on his first day out and best score being 20. Leatherface's best was 14 and Freddy's was 13. By comparison Cordell has easily one of the highest kill counts in a single outing, with his total number being 33 in Maniac Cop 2. This is only beaten by Pinhead who slaughtered 69 people in Hellrasier 3 and the Djinn from Wishmaster with has 43 and in both cases we are talking about being with reality warping powers. But what really makes Cordell dangerous is that combines this incredible power this great willpower, intellect and his training as a police officer. Cordell will often make full use of his police officer uniform to put people into a vulnerable position before he strikes, he is also very stealthy and fast often only being seen because he wants to be. Cordell's goal is to get revenge on the system and people who wrong him and he goes about it with a scary level of efficiency. He deliberately turns public opinion against the police and insight panic, finds and frames a suitable cop for his crimes, manipulates his wife into giving him information from inside the police station, is able to break into several police stations unnoticed and slaughters the occupants and was able to set up a mass prison breakout. Cordell is also fully trained in the use of fire arms and makes ready use of them, infact the mans a pretty dame good shot. In terms of weapons he has his trusty Night Stick which happens to contain a hidden blade, handcuffs, a revolver, a shotgun, a machinegun and his very own police care. And I hope this explains why I consider Matt Cordell is the ultimate slasher. So to end off I'll leave you with some videos of the Maniac Cop doing his thing

Episode 112 Jiren has begun meditating after defeating Hit. Beerus wonders how Goku is doing, and Whis says that while he is physically exhausted, his fighting spirit remains undiminished. With the tournament halfway over, the Omni-Kings ask again what happens when time runs out, and the Great Priest explains that the universe with the most members left will win. In that case, Universe 7 is currently in the lead with seven members left, so the U3 God of Destruction Mosco orders his team to eliminate Goku. As a trio of U3 warriors goes after Goku, Gohan and Piccolo continue to battle the U6 Namekians Saonel and Pilina. Piccolo tells Gohan to go help Goku, but Gohan thinks it’s best to focus on their opponents; they’ll just have to trust Goku to manage on his own. While Saonel and Pilina put up a good fight (even Piccolo is surprised that another universe would have such strong Namekians), Champa orders his team to cut down the U7 team’s numbers but otherwise run away. Since they can’t defeat Jiren, they’ll just have to try to be the team with the most members left at the end. Elsewhere, Kale is intimidated after witnessing Jiren’s strength, but Caulifla remains optimistic: seeing Goku and Jiren’s battle showed her the infinite potential that she as a Saiyan must possess. Suddenly the two are challenged by U4’s Monna, who is targeting U6 now that they’ve lost Hit. Though Caulifla is eager to take Monna on singlehanded, Cabba arrives and insists that he be the one to fight Monna, so that Caulifla and Kale can escape and conserve their stamina. Caulifla initially refuses, but eventually relents after both Cabba and Kale insist. Caulifla and Kale escape as Cabba holds off Monna. After struggling in his normal form, Cabba becomes a Super Saiyan and successfully counterattacks. However, this just leads Monna to morph into a giant ball and start knocking Cabba around even harder. Reverting to normal, Cabba is thrown to near the edge of the arena. While Cabba tries to trick Monna into rolling off the arena, this tactic fails and Cabba himself is sent falling out of bounds. While regretting that he couldn’t wear down his opponent’s stamina more, he is at least satisfied that he managed to buy some time for Caulifla and Kale. However, at the last moment a hand reaches out and grabs Cabba. It’s Vegeta! He roughly tosses Cabba back into the arena and knocks Monna away. Cabba is happy that his “master” saved him, but Vegeta simply knees him in the stomach. He tells Cabba not to misunderstand: he wasn’t really trying to save him, he just couldn’t stand seeing a weak Saiyan. Besides, Vegeta doesn’t want Cabba to lose before fulfilling his promise (from the last tournament) of taking Vegeta to meet the king of Planet Sadala. Cabba is sad that, since at least one of their universes will be destroyed by the end of this tournament, he can’t possibly keep that promise. But Vegeta vows that if he wins, he’ll use the Super Dragon Balls to resurrect Cabba and co. Thrilled, Cabba likewise vows to resurrect Vegeta and co. if he wins, but Vegeta gets angry: he’ll be the one to win, not Cabba! Finally, Vegeta tells Cabba to fight as a Saiyan, without regrets, then departs. Nearby, Freeza has been eavesdropping on this conversation, and is sickened by the idea of a Saiyan master and disciple relationship. With his Saiyan pride restored, Cabba takes on Monna again…but it still doesn't go well. Monna calls Cabba weak and threatens to defeat Vegeta next, then Caulifla and Kale. She even calls Vegeta a coward for getting in a cheap hit on her before running off. Angered by these threats and insults, Cabba vows to defeat Monna himself, and transforms into Super Saiyan 2. Cabba uses his newfound strength to blast Monna out of the arena (reverting to base immediately afterwards), leaving U4 with only three fighters remaining. Champa is thrilled at Cabba’s victory, though Vados points out that earlier he had told him to simply run away. Vegeta is also pleased at Cabba’s victory as he approaches to challenge Jiren. But Toppo appears and insists Vegeta fight him instead. While Vegeta isn’t interested in fighting a second fiddle like Toppo, Toppo shoots back that Vegeta is a second fiddle too. Angered, Vegeta becomes Super Saiyan Blue and begins battling Toppo. Freeza meanwhile approaches Cabba and very politely asks that they fight. Cabba obliges but is quickly overwhelmed. Freeza says he’ll go after Cabba’s fellow Saiyan once he’s defeated him, and this threat towards Caulifla and Kale pushes Cabba to become Super Saiyan 2 once again. Cabba unleashes a mighty blast against Freeza, and while he feels it hit, when the dust clears Freeza is there in his Golden form, unharmed. He repeatedly blasts Cabba before finally knocking him out of bounds when he refuses to surrender. Reverting to normal, Freeza thinks it a waste to use up so much stamina against a garbage opponent. Materializing in the bleachers, Cabba apologizes to Champa, who’s angry at Freeza for intentionally targeting Cabba when he was exhausted. Thinking to himself, Freeza vows to win the tournament and use the Super Dragon Balls to control the gods. Vegeta and Goku meet up in the middle of their respective fights. Vegeta sees that the exhausted Goku is struggling against his U3 opponents, and Goku says he’s recovering his stamina as he fights. Goku notes that Cabba has lost, but Vegeta isn’t too concerned: so long as he wins the tournament, the Saiyans will survive! Vegeta goes off to continue his battle against Toppo, and Goku has no choice but to continue his fight against the U3 trio. Suddenly however, Caulifla swoops in and knocks the U3 fighters out of the way. While Goku thanks her for her help, Caulifla transforms into a Super Saiyan 2. Thanks to Cabba she’s managed to recover her stamina, and now she wants to fight Goku! 23 minutes remain in the Tournament of Power. -

Episode 111 Freeza has snatched Goku away, and now seems to be aiming a blast at him. Exhausted from his battle with Jiren, Goku no longer has the power to run away, and in their hidden location nobody can see what Freeza’s doing. Freeza fires…and Goku is fine! Freeza has actually shared a little bit of his ki with Goku, thereby enabling him to move once again, just like Goku did with him back on Planet Namek. Now they’re even! Besides, Freeza needs Goku to keep on working for him, since he doesn’t want to take on “that monster” Jiren himself. Before leaving, Freeza tells Goku how the gods up above referred to Goku’s new power as “Ultra Instinct”, and Goku wonders if pulling that off once again will enable him to beat Jiren. Meanwhile, Hit and Jiren continue to fight. Hit’s Time-Skip doesn’t seem to be much use against Jiren, whose heavy blows he can feel all too well. Jiren asks if Hit seriously intends to defeat him, and Hit says that yes, that’s his job. Watching the fight, Toppo is surprised to see Hit doing so well against Jiren. Hit now starts using the same dimension-moving technique he used during his rematch with Goku, storing up skipped time in order to conceal himself in another dimension, leaving only an illusionary image of himself behind. However, Jiren isn’t fooled by the illusion and still manages to track Hit’s movements, which keeps Hit’s attacks from connecting. With Jiren able to fully counter Time-Skip, Hit is unable to land a solid blow. Yet despite its ineffectiveness, he continues to use Time-Skip against Jiren. What is he up to? Jiren tells Hit to stop this pointless effort, but Hit maintains that this is his job, and tells Jiren to stay with him until the end. Elsewhere, the U6 Namekians Saonel and Pirina try to sneak attack Goku, but Gohan and Piccolo step in to fight them (the two are surprised to see another Namekian). Vegeta is doing well against Ribrianne, until Rozie steps in to protect her. As the two escape and hide, Ribrianne starts to lose confidence in U2’s chance of victory, but Rozie slaps some sense into her, telling her to remember the power of love. Ribrianne recovers her confidence: “If I can’t believe in love, who can?!” Seeing Hit having this much trouble, Caulifla wants to go help him out, but Cabba stops her, saying Hit has some strategy in mind. Though Hit keeps on taking Jiren’s attacks, he’s still properly guarding and so should be minimizing damage, all while waiting for the right chance to strike back. Indeed, Hit has by now memorized Jiren’s attack pattern, and finally manages to land a solid attack on Jiren’s chest, which sends him skidding to the edge of the arena. This one attack is what Hit needed to finally lock Jiren into a time cage, paralyzing him. This ace-in-the-hole technique consists of Hit continually using Time-Skip against Jiren alone, but keeping Jiren frozen seems to require too much of Hit’s concentration for him to do much else. He tells Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale to leave Jiren to him and go do the job only they can do, namely defeat other warriors to ensure U6’s victory. While Hit normally works alone, now he’s resolved to use all of his power to keep Jiren frozen until the end, and so needs his allies’ help to handle everything else that must be done. As Jiren struggles to break free from this paralysis, Hit soon realizes that his power won’t last until the end of the tournament. He therefore has no choice but to put everything he has into one last attack in order to defeat Jiren then and there. Though it’s not like an assassin to gamble, he must take this risk to carry out his job of making sure U6 wins. But as he goes in to finish Jiren off, Jiren blocks his blow with merely a glare, and finally breaks free. Those on the sidelines are amazed to see Jiren’s strength surpass time itself. Jiren recommences attacking Hit, finally knocking him out of the arena with an energy blast. The Great Priest confirms Hit’s loss, and Hit materializes in the bleachers next to Champa, admitting that it was all over once his final blow against Jiren failed. While Champa looks on the bright side and says Hit’s work ethic has been passed on to Cabba and co., Vados notes that Hit’s loss is a major setback for U6. As it happens, Hit’s defeat coincides with the halfway point of the tournament (only 50 taks or 24 minutes now remain), so the Great Priest changes the sky green to mark the start of the second half. With Hit defeated and Goku exhausted, Jiren judges that there is nobody left worth fighting, so he leaves the rest up to Toppo and Dyspo and begins meditating. The U3 warrior Piara distracts Toppo and Dyspo while his colleague Katpesra moves in to take out the seemingly defenseless Jiren, but Katpesra is repelled by the wall of ki surrounding Jiren’s body. The two of them are clearly unworthy of fighting Jiren! The Tournament of Power is now halfway over. -

Episode 109-110 Episode summery Goku continues to battle Ribrianne in his base state, but his attacks seem to be no match for the power of her love. In fact, Ribrianne is determined to win the tournament and use the Super Dragon Balls to become a “goddess of love” adored by all the universes. She asks Goku what he wants the Super Dragon Balls for, but he hasn’t quite decided yet: he could use them for Chi Chi’s sake, or for his sons…or to meet someone stronger than anyone he’s ever met before. Ribrianne counters that in that case, his wish is already granted: she is that strong person! She absorbs the power of love from her teammates to transform into “Super Ribrianne”. Though physically she looks pretty much the same (except for newly added butterfly wings), Goku can sense incredible power from her. She fires off a barrage of love-based attacks, the last one of which creates a big explosion. Ribrianne declares victory, but Goku (now a Super Saiyan Blue) suddenly swoops in and sends her flying with a kick. Ribrianne lands at Jiren’s feet, and from his silent gaze she thinks he might love her. However, she soon grows annoyed at this continued silence, and storms off in a huff. On the sidelines, the gods of Universe 11 decide that the time has come for Jiren to go into action. Vermoud telepathically contacts Jiren, ordering him to take out Goku and ignore any small fries. As Kale, No.18, and co. sense Jiren’s ki shaking the entire World of Void, Toppo likewise tells Jiren to fight to his heart’s content, in order to obtain the Super Dragon Balls and have his wish granted.Goku and Jiren prepare to finally square off, and as Jiren powers up Beerus is shocked to see so much ki coming from just one single fighter. Goku, back in his base form, fires a Kamehameha off at Jiren, but the force of Jiren’s ki is enough to completely protect him as he remains motionless. Shin wonders why Goku doesn’t become Super Saiyan Blue; is he underestimating Jiren? Kuririn however thinks that Goku is simply testing out both Jiren and himself; he wants to show Jiren what he can do, and draw out Jiren’s full power. While Goku may be interested in Jiren, Tenshinhan wonders if Jiren has any interest in Goku. But Kuririn says Jiren has in fact been watching Goku this whole time, and probably wants to see all of Goku’s power. Muten Roshi says that they have acknowledged one another as opponents worth powering themselves up for. Meanwhile, Goku continues to attack, going all the way from regular Super Saiyan up to Super Saiyan God, the latter of which merely warrants Jiren raising a hand to block him with.Seeing that Jiren can’t get serious like this, Goku reverts to base, then finally powers up into Super Saiyan Blue. Vermoud is confident that even with the power of Blue this fight is a pointless struggle, but Kai thinks it is crucial: after all, Jiren defeating Goku’s full power will cause all the other contestants to lose their fighting spirit. Goku will be a sacrifice to show off Jiren’s power! While Marcaritta thinks they had better not get ****y, Vermoud declares that no one, absolutely no one, can beat Jiren. Indeed, despite Goku occasionally even using Kaio-Ken on top of Super Saiyan Blue, Jiren easily knocks him around, before finally grabbing him and blasting him at point-blank range.Goku gets back up and charges Jiren with Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken, but Jiren stops him seemingly just by glaring at him. In truth, Jiren attacked Goku countless times in an instant, so fast that even Vegeta couldn’t see. Kuririn still hasn’t abandoned hope though, saying that Goku should be able to use Kaio-Ken x20 on top of Super Saiyan Blue. But this fails to cheer Beerus up. As Whis explains, Goku is already using Kaio-Ken x20! Even with Kaio-Ken x20 failing to damage Jiren, Goku still has a trick up his sleeve…the Genki-Dama! Goku begins gathering energy from his teammates, though he first reverts to his base state since (as Kuririn tells Tenshinhan) Super Saiyan has some evil mixed in and therefore can’t be used to gather energy. No.17 and 18 are happy to contribute their energy, as is Freeza, despite his unhappy memories of the attack. For some reason Vegeta refuses to donate his energy…though he does stop Ribrianne from attacking Goku while he charges the attack. Goku soon realizes that it will take too long to create the attack, but fortunately Jiren is willing to wait. He’s eager to see Goku’s special attack…then crush it with overwhelming power. That’s his style! Goku finally finishes the Genki-Dama and throws it at Jiren, telling Jiren to not regret waiting. But Jiren starts pushing it back! Gohan’s shocked, since Goku should still have a fair amount of stamina left. Goku goes Super Saiyan Blue, then uses Kaio-Ken x10 and x20 all in an effort to push the Genki-Dama onto Jiren, but Jiren holds his ground. Despite Goku’s struggles, Jiren manages to push the Genki-Dama back onto Goku, threatening to envelope him with his own attack…As Jiren pushes the Genki-Dama back at Goku, the U7 team are shocked to see even their old standby fail against him. Kai and Vermoud are pleased with Jiren: with Goku gone, U7’s morale is sure to collapse. While Goku continues to hold out with all his might with Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken, Jiren only needs to stare at the Genki-Dama to keep it at bay. Clearly he’s got power to spare, and all watching are amazed at his strength. Seeing that Jiren is as strong as a God of Destruction, if not stronger, Whis realizes that the rumors of a universe with just such a mortal were true after all.Still, Goku continues to try and push the Genki-Dama over to Jiren. Caught between Goku and Jiren forces, the Genki-Dama’s expansion finally reaches its limit. Suddenly it disperses and Goku falls to the ground as a tremendous explosion shakes the arena. Toppo declares Jiren the winner! The Omni-Kings are amazed at first…but they and everyone else soon start to worry about Goku. Not only does he seem to have lost, but there’s no sight of him anywhere, within the ring or out, and nobody can sense his ki. Was he killed in the explosion? And if so, does this mean Jiren is disqualified? The Great Priest steps in to declare that since Goku was (apparently) killed by his own technique, Jiren will incur no penalty. Though the remaining contestants haven’t lost their fighting spirit, for a whole nobody makes a move. The Great Priest reminds everyone that the tournament’s time limit is not even halfway over, and so they must continue to fight. As Beerus wonders if Goku really is gone, the entire World of Void starts shaking from an intense flow of power. Could it be…?Yes, Goku’s back, and all sparkly this time! With bright silver pupils, dark silver upturned hair, and a blazing aura to match, it is clear something has happened to him, but what? Though he’s releasing a stupendous amount of heat, his ki seems fearsomely calm. Even Whis has never seen Goku like this before. Jiren attacks Goku, but this time he easily dodges all of his attacks. Gohan can tell that Goku’s movements are totally different from before: not only is he fast, it’s also impossible to tell when he’s going to attack or dodge. Vegeta likewise finds Goku’s new movements unreal.Toppo and Dyspo step in, but Goku has no trouble tossing them aside and avoiding Toppo’s Justice Flash blasts, causing Tenshinhan to marvel at the speed of his reactions and the accuracy of his movements. Finally, Jiren signals to Toppo to stay out of this. Jiren and Goku begin to battle again, and the two seem evenly matched. While No.17 is still not sure who has the upper hand, he can tell Goku has instantly closed the previously overwhelming power gap between himself and Jiren. Piccolo can tell that even now Goku continues to evolve as he fights, with his attacks against Jiren growing steadily more effective. Watching this unfold, Kai and Vermoud freak out to see someone go toe-to-toe with Jiren. The Great Priest and Whis have a hunch as to the identity of Goku’s change, and Beerus thinks the same thing: it’s Ultra Instinct! Hearing this, Champa and the other gods can’t believe that a mortal like Goku could reach a state that even gods struggle with…though his movements seem to confirm this. The Great Priest thinks it is still too early to tell for sure, but this new development is definitely something to keep an eye on (meanwhile, the Omni-Kings seem not to know about Ultra Instinct…and neither does Shin). Even if it is Ultra Instinct, Beerus doesn’t understand how this could have happened so suddenly. Whis thinks that the Genki-Dama was the trigger, causing Kuririn to wonder if Goku powered up by absorbing its energy. Tenshinhan points out that the Genki-Dama itself was no use against Jiren, so why would absorbing its power put them on even footing? Whis explains that Goku is indeed using the Genki-Dama’s energy as a temporary power source for his exhausted body, but the key factor is something else. Namely, struggling to overcome the Genki-Dama’s explosion as its power entered into him triggered Goku to crack through the shell of further possibilities hidden inside himself…or at least, that is what Whis thinks.Goku and Jiren continue to evenly trade blows, but when Goku goes in for the kill, Jiren suddenly blocks his attack. Saiyans certainly are interesting, he says, but Goku seems to truly be at his limit this time. Indeed, the Ultra Instinct seems to have only been temporary: Goku reverts to his regular form and Jiren blasts him away. As he does so, Hit rushes in to attack, but Jiren effortlessly blocks his attack too. As Vados points out, warriors tend to leave themselves wide open when finishing off an opponent, but Jiren doesn’t even have that weakness. While it looks like Hit and Jiren are about to fight, Vegeta approaches Goku, still flat on his back from Jiren’s attack. Vegeta wants to know what Goku’s new power was, but Goku isn’t too sure himself, and he seems to be out of energy regardless. As Ribrianne approaches Vegeta and Goku’s position, Goku suddenly Goku vanishes, snatched away by Freeza. Aiming a blast at Goku, Freeza is reminded of what happened on Planet Namek…25 minutes remain in the Tournament of Power.
