River was tired of playing around. The enemy, despite their bravado, just wasn't up to snuff. He crushed a Gregole's skull just jabbing him out of the way, then dashed up to Ishimaru, firing a sonic buster at the same time as the largest bio-laser on his head. There was a reason that Zx-Tole was, at one time, considered the strongest of the hyper zoanoid types, and River had proved that by taking out at least fifty of the ordinary zoanoids. A sonic buster and my largest bio-laser, I don't think he'll survive that one, River thought.

River took the chance to slash away at two of the ordinary zoanoids, dropping them like flies. As soon as Quantum Guyver screamed out in pain, he waited for one of the Hyper Zoanoids to appear out of the hole. He got grabbed by two of the zoanoids, and he bashed their heads together with his superior strength and killed them. Positioning himself directly in line with one of the Hyper Zoanoids-with half of another zoanoid directly to the side- and opened his chest plate. Since he'd already had charged his megasmasher during the blasting with his bio-lasers at the regular zoanoids, there was no delay, and the massive energy beam shot out. A regular zoanoid tried to sneak up on him, and he backhanded it, crushing its skull. The regular zoanoids weren't much to sneeze at-it was the hyper zoanoids he hoped he eliminated.

River gritted his teeth. It looked like Barcas had decided to pull the numbers game again. "So, the rest of you are here. I was better than you guys at the training center, and I'm better than you now." The blades on his forearms extended. If they were surrounded, he would have to get rid of quite a few of them. Fortunately, he'd had plenty of time to learn all the weaponry of his unit. Plus, he could even fire his blaster tempest once per half hour, which would serve to destroy a huge portion if need be. He knew he'd need his megasmasher. So, as a stealth tactic, he mentally told his lenses to charge without opening the plates. That way, he'd have a shot ready when he needed. He knew he'd have to use it on the elite Hyper Zoanoids that were sent out; the rest of the cannon fodder would fall to the standard weaponry. While his megasmasher was charging underneath the plates, he fired all 14 of his Zx-Tole bio-lasers rapidly in various directions, hoping to buy time to use his ultimate weapon.

River looked at the guy who had jumped out of the tree. All these new people he hadn't seen before. Oh well, at least he could tell that someone understood what psychological warfare was. He had no clue as to who exactly was friend and who was foe, other than the obvious Chronos zoanoid Broiz. Nevertheless, he decided to take it upon himself to explain everything. He took off his tanktop and threw it to the side. Loosening his belt buckle, his baggy pants fell to the ground, revealing his boxer shorts. "Sorry for stripping right in front of you, but clothes are hard to come by." He kicked them off to the side where the tanktop was. His impressive muscle tone could be seen much better now. He gritted his teeth as the transformation took hold. In less than a full second, the 5'10", 240 pound River Zastory suddenly became the ten foot tall beetle-looking hyper zoanoid, Zx-Tole. "You see I wasn't joking," he explained, his voice distorted by his zoaform. "Barcas decided to make me because of my skill as a warrior. The problem was, he should have taken better care to avoid me obtaining a Guyver unit. Now I'm completely free of Zoalord mental control, and Chronos has created their most dangerous enemy yet!" He looked around; why beat around the bush? After all, he'd probably have to use it anyway. Plus, it would make the battle more interesting. "BIOBOOST!" A brilliant light overcame him, leaving a circle of torched ground for a foot and a half around him. The black plating and yellow skin of the hyper zoanoid now had dark grey plating and brown soft tissue of a Guyver, plus the head-spike now protruded out of the top of Zx-Tole's already tall headpiece, and tubes fed into the massive chest plates of the zoanoid.

(ooc: I'll let you control the Broiz in the upcoming fight, BananaKing, because he's an NPC) "You Chronos bastards always were quite unskilled in combat," River said, leaping out of the trees and landing somewhere between the Lost Number and the Broiz. He popped his head left and right. "But then again, you ordinary zoanoids always lacked that ability to think for yourselves because of how the zoalords pacified you with their mental control. You never had to think! They thought for you. That's why you never learned how to adequately fight." River turned to look at the lost number. "I don't know who you are, Lost Number, but I'd stand back a bit if I were you." He turned back to the Broiz. "You're just a regular zoanoid. But right now? You're staring down something WAY out of your league. Perhaps you've heard of me. I'm not the first of my type, but I am completely different. You can call me Zx-Tole!" He stood, ready to enter his zoaform at a moment's notice, if need be. He highly doubted he'd need to bioboost to take on a Broiz, but if need be, he would.

I wish you could be more specific, but if he's no more powerful than an "amped up proto-zoalord," then I think I can approve him. Just make sure you play him right.

D.S. ? I thought I said so. o.0
-
ooc: You should always ask permission to use another's character. That's general roleplaying manners.
-
Out of character: Did Mr McTaco give you permission to say what both Sean and D.S. did ? Because if not, you're god-modding.

I mean, we can sort of assume, that since energy and matter are two sides of the same coin, that you can convert between the two. That's what a nuclear reactor does to fissile material (nuclear fuel). The formula for matter - energy conversion is: E=MC^2 E equals M times C squared, where E = energy, M = matter, and C is the speed of light. By the formula, the Guyver would have to use up a tremendous volume of energy to form a very small amount of matter. I'm glad the boost dimension is an entire dimension that theoretically could have unlimited energy, otherwise it would run out if the Guyver got all its energy from a finite source.

The great thing about having a massive, relatively untapped reserve of organic crystal below the forest is that, past a certain point at the edge of the forest, it becomes virtually impossible to get a reading on GPS. So, unless you know your way around the forest, or you could fly, one would get lost easily. River noticed that there were disturbances in the wind current when the light breeze blowing on him stopped for a few seconds, then came in a second wave. That only happened, he realized, when someone disturbed the air by suddenly appearing. He decided to trail his way through the forest, stealthily ducking behind trees as he moved closer to where he estimated people to be. He didn't know who was intruding, so he took no risks. Eventually, he heard footsteps, then ducked behind a tree about 100 yards from where the figures were. He used a reflective surface on his boot to peer around the corner without getting seen, and saw the outline of two bioboosted humans. "Nice day for a walk, eh, Guyvers?" he said, loud enough for both to hear. He stepped out from behind the tree, still in human form. He wore his black tanktop and flexible pants, his earrings dangling from his ears. One could easily see his incredible muscle tone through the tanktop, as it hugged close to his body. "I hope you don't work for Chronos."

(out of character: This is the actual RP. Here is the signup: http://www.japan-legend.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1690 All the character bios are there.) (out of character: Wherever you place your characters, don't have them start out at Chronos Central City unless they actually are aligned with Chronos.) A large metropolis, with large buildings shining in the morning sun had its normal share of noise. Cars honking, people talking and walking, and the like. One building in the very center, taller than all the rest, bore the symbol of Chronos Corporation. The residential area and apartments, and other large residential skyscrapers, sat towards the middle section of the city, the industrial zone sat near the outskirts, with the more important ones near the center, and the commercial zones and office buildings sat majorly towards the center near the Chronos building, and the lesser ones mixed in with the residential. There were all types of architectures, and all types of people. A large forest separated Central City from its nearest town several miles away. In one very secure office, a very interested Hamilcar Barcas, chief scientist of Chronos, sat, looking over information regarding organic mineral deposits under the city. They'd already manufactured artifical Guyvers, and he was planning on figuring out exactly how to perfect the process, as making them proved largely elusive. The first unit had been stolen by one of the female Chronos scientists. Another by that Zx-Tole he'd had kidnapped in Japan. Oh, how he regretted allowing that hyper zoanoid to slip right under his nose and snatch one. He'd be damned if he'd not provide one for his master, Lord Archanfel, though. Zoanoids came and went inside the building. One former Chronos operative, River Zastory, wandered around the forest, examining the flora and fauna. He'd made sure Chronos wasn't following him, and he knew he'd soon have to begin engaging his plan to defeat Barcas. But for now, relaxation. He'd had a life and friends before being kidnapped by the corporation...then they turned him into a monster. Zx-Tole, they called him. He'd even become their willing follower thanks to genetic programming. Thankfully, the Guyver unit he'd recovered had corrected that, and restored his mind to the way it was before. He scratched an itch on his arm. Barcas will suffer for what he has done to me, the company will fall for what they've done to this world! He thought.

You are approved, Toku Warrior, as is your new guy, Banana King. Guys, I'll start the RPing thread soon enough. Oh, and by the way, as I mentioned earlier, most of the Chronos corporation characters will be NPCs played by me. Because as we all know, they drop like flies and aren't important. (XD) But rest assured, any characters that aren't series characters I will provide info on.
-
Much more reasonable than your HyperGuyver. I'd like it if the land running speed was below 150, and that he wasn't completely immune to enzyme attacks, but it looks good otherwise.
-
Okay, Toku Warrior, you really didn't need to ask. That is WAY too powerful. I'll let you play as Sho Fukamachi normally, or as the Gigantic for short periods of time, even, but there's no way this idea is entering the roleplay.
-
I never said that your characters would have access to the Gigantic. Remember, I'm going to be playing most of the Chronos characters as NPCs.
-
Toku Warrior, you can post your bio, and I could tell you what (if anything) needs to be changed. I'm sure we can all be flexible here. After all, you'd be willing to do minor alterations to avoid making your character too powerful, right?
-
By the way, bananaking, your lost number is approved.
-
I was thinking that as I wrote the rules. So, let's amend the rules here. You can have a Guyver character as one of your characters, but you have to give a good story behind how they got it, and I will approve or not.
-
Oh, I'm not terribly needy. I'd say at least three people and we've got an RP. You don't have to have a picture of your character, but if you do post it.
-
I'm waiting for more people to sign up before we can begin. Oh, and to V Guyver's question, this is just a signup thread.

This isn't my only character, but will be one of my main characters. human form: bioboosted form: Name: River Zastory (yes, I'm borrowing a character from the Black Cat manga and altering him) Code Name: Zx-Tole Type of Character: Bioboosted Zoanoid (just so you know, I'm playing as this character as the game master. The only bioboosted zoanoids that player characters can be are very simple [not powerful] types like Razell) Age: 22 Alignment: Individual History (at least five sentences of the history): River Zastory was a sweeper prior to being involved with Chronos. Sweepers are people who track down and arrest criminals, turning them in for money. He did not volunteer for zoanoid optimization as many others did, but rather, he was brought in due to his physical strength and reflexes. Barcas optimized him into a Zx-Tole, and he was part of the new hyper-zoanoid team five, acting in Chronos' best interest. Upon Chronos discovering how to make artificial Guyver units, he managed to steal one from right under Barcas' nose, seeking more power to annihilate the enemies of the company, but upon bioboosting, not only was the genetically engineered control over him removed, but also it restored the memories that Barcas had erased. Now, having remembered who he was prior to his abduction by the evil company, he acts on his own to seek the destruction of the company that made him into a monster. Abilities (at least five sentences): His bio-lasers are enhanced several times in intensity, and can be rapid-fired. He has the blaster tempest, which can be fired once every half hour as a powerful, last ditch weapon. His physical strength, being much greater than a human, is further enhanced by the Guyver; in all, his physical strength equals a Gigantic. Other than this, he has all the standard Guyver weapons.

That was nice and long, a rare example of how a history of a character should be written. Though, I probably should have specified that players should mention what type of character they are playing. In the future, below Code Name, include this line: Type of Character: (Guyver, Lost Number, Civilian, or Zoanoid) Your character is approved, Mr. McTaco. Anyway, something I forgot to mention, being the game master of this RP, I will (for story purposes) be playing multiple characters in addition to my main character.

I wanted to see if there would be anyone who wanted to roleplay on these here forums. So then, here is the gist of it. Story: This takes place during the period a year after X-day, where Chronos has thoroughly gained control of all the world. The main focus of the story will be in North America, in the (fictional) city of Central City in New York, a few weeks after Sho reappeared in Japan. Chronos has built a base in Central City because a large supply of materials they can use to grow organic crystals has been discovered underneath the major metropolis. It is the foundation of their major project, which has been under close observation by Barcas since the discovery of the materials. You can play either a zoanoid, an ordinary civilian (with no powers), a lost number, or a guyver. Here is the standard bio format: Name: Code Name (if people refer to you something other than your name): Age (calendar age, if physical age is different, put it too): Alignment (Chronos, Zeus' Thunderbolt, or individual): History (at least five sentences of the history): Abilities (at least five sentences): I'll post mine if people are interested.

No offense to fans of the movie, but the movies were so god-awful that they shouldn't seriously be considered. That, and the fact that the zoanoids were sort of watered down to fit American film audiences (which is different from American anime audiences, who are much smarter), and the Guyvers don't work the same way in the movie. I don't think the high-frequency blades were even vibrating in the movies, and the mega-smasher didn't look like a particle beam cannon. It looked like a bright light coming out of a bulb. Also, the units' enhancement isn't as consistent as the manga. Because think: Guyver zero was much stronger than the Creators in their bioboosted form because humans were designed to be physically superior (only the mental power of the Creators was superior). So, a zoanoid, designed to be physically superior to a human, should be so much more powerful bioboosted than a bioboosted human, that the bioboosted zoanoid in the movie should have pretty much one-shotted the guy. And the rapping zoanoid...uh, yeah. Let's not go there.
