So has anyone ever played any of the DMC games?

 

I immensely enjoyed the first 3. 4 sort of dragged as you didn't really get to play as Dante. DMC 2013 was really fun. But my favorite has always been 2 out of the entire game series.

 

I bought the HD remaster sometime ago and its been fun catching up on the old releases.

It's funny... #2 is considered the worst, since it takes Dante in a much darker tone for no reason... Sometimes thought to be even worse that the DMC remake ( which I am in the minority, because I liked it)

 

You mot have played much of 4, but almost the entire second half of game is played as Dante... Though I didn't mind Nero all that much anyway.

 

I liked the first, disliked the 2nd, the third was great, 4 was fun, and DMC I liked as a reboot.

While its not considered the best their are lots of fun moments in the game. My favorite being The Tower Boss fight.

 

My personal favorite game will always be DMC 3.

I've beaten the game twice. You play Dante a few times through out, but that wasn't enough for me. I just wish they gave you a choice like they did with DMC 2 where you could either choose to play as Lucia or Dante. Instead you're railed right in to play as Nero, who is Virgil's  illegitimate son....by all accounts they hint that plenty with his blue color and has influence over Virgil's sword, Yamato in the game. Sure, the grabs were cool. But I just didn't get the same fix from Nero that I got from Dante.
