Hi I has been a long while since I have written anything related to Tokusatsu/ Power Rangers for that matter.

After much consideration I have decided to restart a Fanfiction series about Power Rangers.

This time this is a fanfic of its own. However I have not been watching the series for quite a while now and I hope to make this fic entertaining.

Premises:

In the peaceful town of Cenoville, hatred and prejudice between humans and mutants is escalating. Using advanced genetic engineering, A mutant known as Xenatos seeks to free mutantkind from human social tyranny via terrorism with mutant monsters.

To combat this threat, Dr. Darwin, the manager of a pest eradication company in Cenoville picks 3 young adults, human and mutant alike with a strong sense of justice. With the power of prehistoric mammals, The three becomes a new team of Power Rangers.

Which prehistoric animals will be used? If you say Ptera, Tricera and Tyranno then I'll just say PuToTyra, lol.

But, seriously, this does sound interesting from the basic bit of info you've revealed ATM. Mutants and humans teaming up in a 3 man team. Will it be 1 M and 2 H or 2 M and 1 H? Will there be a girl on the team or will it start out as a 3 male team?

Basically Prehistoric mammals from this show.

The team at first is a 3 man team with one girl and 1 human 2 mutants. I am still figuring how did Dr. Darwin get access to the Morphing grid and the tech to build the Zords. The biggest issue is the name of the series.

Power Rangers Primal Fury could possibly work.

As for how he got access, you could make it to where he's an old friend of Anton Mercer who is a friend of Tommy. Mercer learned of the Ranger tech from Tommy and you could have to where Darwin learns from Mercer with some help from Hayley, Tommy's friend who is like a combo of Alpha 5 and Billy. A red head who is smart as hell and developed the Dino Rangers' morphers and help in setting up the Dino morphing grid.

Hmm I think there could be a way. Dr. Darwin has his tech with the words... "Silver Guardians". This team has links with Time Force apparently but they were totally unaware.

Also if you look how Dr. Darwin looks like? You could guess his past. Google Vernon Wells, you will recognize him...^^

The team shall be called Power Rangers Primal Force.

When I say mutants in this fic, I do not mean those "Kaijin" only or men in monster suits. The mutants here also refer to humans with special abilities like in x-men.

The premises of this team and its Town's politics are the precursors of what is to happen in Time Force. Whether was it the mutant vs Human conflicts in the year 3000 leading to [Dr. Darwin] Ransik's rise to power and all the troubles that have set Silver Hills on fire from the battles.

Ransik now has given up evil for good after his stint with Wild Force and Time Force. Ransik now heads human right organization that seeks to try to mediate the conflict between humans and mutants. However things have not gone in favour of reformed Ransik or Time Force's good intentions.

Ransik and Time Force including their year 2000 counterparts, Wes and Eric, finally deduced that the conflict started due to favoritism over genetically modified designer babies.

Due to Cenoville's mutant population, Ransik took a new identity and came to Cenoville with a dummy company selling pesticides to observe the problem. Of course, a new villain came and Ransik has to get somewhat involved once more.

Basically what you see in this fic is sort of a link between Time Force and modern day even if we include SPD. Basically the anti-mutant sentiments is strongest in Cenoville so Ransik under the guise of Dr. Darwin decided to go there with Time Force funding to study and find the source of the problem in the past to save the future.

in this town, the Primal Force Rangers are not seen as heroes but seen as mutant monsters despite all they have done to save them time to time, some way or another, the humans would betray the Primal Force Rangers, forcing them to eventually side with Xenatos to fight for what is right.

This team would also balance the numbers of members of both genders. In this 5-member team, there will be 2 women and 3 men unlike Dino Thunder.

Also this team would feature many aspects not seen in any season of Power Rangers.

For example:

-Smarter foot soldiers

The foot soldiers of Xenatos are smarter and faster than your average Tyrannodrone, Rinshi, Hidiacs, Cogs, Chillers, Lava Lizards, Grinders, Moogers. I am seeking to nullify the Stormtrooper effect in this team. So My rangers will be in a for a tough fight like this. Scroll to 1:45 to understand why

-Almost no Roll Calls for the Rangers, but they still have their morphing calls.

For comedic but serious reasons, the Yellow Ranger is a fan of the Insect Rider series which ironically turns out to be the Kamen Rider series. He basically detests the fact that he has to pose and do a roll call before a fight and prefers to get in the action first. This leaves the monsters surprised and getting the first abuses from the Yellow Ranger . The Red Ranger being the first man and the most experienced member in the team, at first does not like this idea but after learning from later experiences from Xenatos' foot soldiers, he finally gets the idea in his head.

Secret Identity

Unlike other seasons of Power Rangers, this team of Rangers do not have a luxury of allies. Thus the secret identity is one of their most important valuable to them, especailly in a town where its special forces are hell bent on hunting the Rangers for illegal intervention of police operation.

-First Female "Sixth Ranger"

This team will see its first female Sixth Ranger who also first starts out with conflicts between her and the original team of Rangers. As most Sixth Rangers start out evil and they all men most of the time, Who doesn't want to see a bad girl sixth ranger for a change?

-A human-like villain.

Xenatos is perhaps the most human of PR villains as far as I know in the franchise. The only two villain that comes close to being human like is Ransik, Rita Replusa.etc

I wish to do the same for the Mammal Squad too.

The lyrics to replace the words, Rangers Together Samurai Forever should be the ranger's motto.

Adam Cuvier- Mammoth

Adam is the Mammal Squad Red Ranger also known as the Red Mammoth Ranger. He is the Leader of the group being the first Ranger to be appointed by Dr. Darwin against the mutant incursion of Cenoville. Adam works as a special needs teacher at the Cenoville Special School. He is very against about people with special needs being treated as mutants in Cenoville.

His name is taken from the Adam Mammoth and George Cuvier

Emma Owen-Basilosaurus

Emma is the Mammal Squad Blue Ranger and a veterinarian medical student at Cenoville University. Secretly she has the ability to hear sounds beyond the hearing range of humans as well the ability to emit such sounds. By changing the frequency, she can perform acts like shattering glass, simple echolocation and incapacitate her opponents. Unlike Peter, Emma’s abilities were hidden from Cenoville records. Before she became a Ranger, Emma grew up together with Peter having defending each other from mutant phobic people.

Emma gets her name from Richard Owens and Emma Darwin

Peter Gao- Smilodon

Peter is the Mammal Squad Yellow Ranger. Being a mutant, he suffered the full brunt of Cenoville’s mutant phobic subculture and was annotated on the wrist 10 years ago during the Mutant Registry Act. Peter possesses the eyes of a feline and also some of their abilities. A bitter cynic of life, he often rebuts Mr. Darwin or Adam. Being trained by his grandfather in a unique style of kung fu, Peter never leaves even one opponent standing and makes sure that they are immobilized by pain before executing the final strike.

I am having some trouble recently. Now that the Mammal Squad is on track. Now comes the details, For the 4th Ranger who is the Black Ranger of the Team, I am not exactly sure how he got his morpher and his powers.

Ideas include making him a mutant or a human with some purpose.

Charles Leidy - Short-face Bear

Charles is the Mammal Squad Black Ranger. ??? This is the ranger which is giving me the headaches.

Mr. Darwin

The CEO of a pest-exterminator company, Mr Darwin, is secretly the founder of the Mammal Squad. Mr. Darwin is curious about the mutant phobic population of Cenoville and seeks to solve the problem by using the Mammal Squad to defeat mutants that cause disorder. To him, the Mammal Squad was just last resorts for mutant creatures that spring up in Cenoville rather than used for handling mutants-related crimes.

Subsequent episodes reveal that Mr. Darwin was none other than a reformed Ransik, a mutant criminal who once rampaged in the year 3000. After his genetic code was cleansed by the encounter with Mut-Orgs, Ransik was given only a short sentence in prison with community service. After his stint, Ransik resolved to work with Time Force, his former enemies, to form a group that would attempt to resolve the conflict between mutants and humans. However their attempt to resolve the conflict only led to the rise of mutants who had the former villain’s ambitions to rise up against the human population.

After Time Force and Ransik found out that the town of Cenoville played a key role in the animosity between humans and mutants, Ransik with Time Force and Silver Guardian backing took an identity of Mr. Darwin and traveled to 2011 Cenoville to attempt to find out the reason and perhaps rectify it at the risk of his own existence.

Previous working at Silver Hills, Prof. Zaskin was tasked by Wes to Mr. Darwin as the technical advisor. He is in charge of creating the Ranger’s weapons, armor and the Zords.
