I've given this page a complete overhaul, gotten rid of the many individual pages for kamen rider and sentai etc and placed them o the main page until there is a substantial amount of information to warrant an individual page for them.

I somehow feel that this page is somewhat confusing. I mean, Sentai is a part of Tokusatsu yet sentai redirects to this page. Shouldn't we have a special page for sentai? Additionally, we don't seem to have information about Metal Heroes. Although somewhat undermentioned, the most common denominator for all tokusatsu is suit actors. I would like to suggest to overhaul again this page to give a much more comprehensive information. Dividing into the following categories: Super Sentai Series, Ultra Series, Kamen Rider Series, Metal Hero Series, Kaijuu series, Kaijin series, and there are even others that some may not even be familiar.

yes.

well, both super sentai and kamen rider used to redirect to this page.

I only recently made a complete page for kamen rider.

the pages for super sentai and kamen rider were initially too small and had too few information. so I just made one big page for them. now I think perhaps we can add more informations.

if we have a section about suit actors, I would like to have photographs of them out of the suit and also information about their favourite styles and what levels they are at, possibly also wether or not they have been in competition.

my favourite style (that comes to mind now) is geki violet. I believe that is a muay thai style of kickboxer.

unfortunately i don't know any of this information and i do not know where to find it.

I changed some of the format and added a few series in the list. Also, i seem to notice that we are only including Toei tokusatsu. I think there are still other tokusatsu shows like Guyferd, Ryukendo, gransazer etc etc. Just not sure how we're going to fit them.

do you think there is a good way to categorise them?

I'm unfamiliar with many of these.

my own thoughts would be something like...

team based shows, single fighter based shows, non costume shows (like sailor moon), .

or perhaps categorise by the company that makes them?

or perhaps arrange by popularity?

to be honest I don't think i can advise on this at the current stage.

I think i will split the sentai into it's own page though.

Okay.... did a little research and I found out that our knowledge of Tokusatsu is only the tip of the iceberg.

Looking at the tokusatsu TV series from a Japanese wiki, here are the classes they have:

Series:

* Ultra Series (Ultraman)

* Kamen Rider Series

* Super Sentai Series

* Metal Hero Series

* Toei Mysterious Comedy Series

* Sukeban Detective Series

* Super Star God Series (Gransazer, Sazer X)

* Tomica Heroes Series

Space (Space G men)

Mecha & SF (Mighty Jack, Night Head)

Bizaare (Jigoku Shojo, Moon spiral)

Eras & Ninja (Henshin Ninja Arashi)

Life Size Hero (Gekkoh Kamen, Guyferd, Spiderman, Ryukendo)

Group Heroes (Akumaizer 3, Wild 7)

Giant Heroes (Giant Robo, Fireman, Super Robot Red Baron)

Super Heroine (Cutey Honey the live)

Fantasy Everyday Magic (Magister Negi Magi, Steel Angel Kurumi pure)

Young Detective

Others

This is really getting much more broader and difficult.

well that's not bad.

we don't need detailed info on all of these straight away, do we?

Well, detailed info, no. But contributors who are willing to contribute articles yes. I don't think I can do all of these alone. I'm starting to share your vision of the wiki, but unfortunately thinking of completing it is overwhelming. The Hurricanger Wiki already took much of my time, and I don't think I want to get stuck with just doing the wiki.

Well, for now, I guess I'll just work on what I'm interested in, and go from there.

durendal i definately think that is the best thing.

only do what you are interested in.

you've already contributed a valuable amount of information!

this wiki is too big for any one person. or two or three.

it's meant to be collaborative. if we just do the kind of contribution that we are happy with, the contribution is good. others will come and see it and may feel inspired to contribute themselves. just like you did.

but teh best way to make it grow is to make more people come. and the best way to do that is to make any information that is there, to be the best that it can be. our hurricanger page is the best english page for hurricanger!!!

I've created a kind of list of programs arranged by year.

I made it as a template to save making the tokusatsu page too large. it can be edited as normal. it just edits teh template page rather than tokusatsu page.

I'm not all that familiar with the majority of these programs so there are probably many corrections to be made.

The page looks like it has a lot more information contained. Looks like there are a lot of "red" links. At least there are more "blue" links in the 2000 era. I think the vastness of the information on Tokusatsu is too great to be contained in a single page. Perhaps someday when we have more pages we could expand this.

Project Toku Wiki. Contributing one page at a time.

heh heh, yeah I think it would be good to classify by company, or classify by channel. or classify by year.

actually to be honest, I cannot see us having a lot of information on some of these old shows.. unless we start to get more people contributing.
