Edward Caerleon's Plasma Powers (manga spoiler alert)

Edward's plasma powers are more difficult for me to grasp than say Purg'stall's lightning and weather control powers or Imakuram's gravity abilities or Shin's beam sniping...How exactly do his plasma powers work? And how could such powers possibly be improved upon for greater use in the Warrior Guyver Universe, since he'd be an Elite Zoalord now and likely there exists other Zoalords of his genotype just like Purg'stall and Imakuram.

During his battle against Apollyon we saw him fire destructive balls of energy he called "Negative Plasma Spheres," which to me looked like thunderballs or laser bursts or something, as well as the ability to create three solid holographic duplicates of himself to fight for him while he remains sealed off in an alternate dimension safe from harm (or so he thought).

Whatever or however his powers worked, they seemed to be trumped by Apollyon, who displayed the ability to manipulate the Plasma spheres, copy Caerlon's doppleganger technique, as well as break into his dimension to attack the real him directly.

I realize its science fiction, but the exact nature of his Plasma powers are a little harder to grasp than electricity or gravity, and the biggest mention of plasma that I can think of in the WG and GWOTG stories are the plasma swords used by the Acears, Enforcer Kavzars, Angel, Sedah, and W'kar.

Edward Caerleon had dimensional based ability to send himself into a shadow dimension (think pocket dimension) and from there control his interaction with normal space/time. He could do thinks like lock a room away from normal access or project three shadow versions of himself that since the real him was in the shadow dimension were intangible to any normal attack that could not reach into the shadow dimension.

So it was more a distortion of reality than holograms... as for the Negative Plasma Sphers, perfectly normal as Plasma is the 4th state of matter and can be either negatively or positively charged.

Lightning for example is conducted through the atmosphere with ionized air particles. Plasma can also conduct/generate electromagnetic fields. So very versatile and capable of producing various light, heat, and magnetic, and electrical effects.

Apollon defeated Caerleon because he was able to also enter the Shadow dimension and thus directly interact with Caerleon and produce the same abilities.

Light manipulation, heat, electricity, magnetism ...Damn, sounds like Edward didn't get the full package his plasma power could provide if all he could do was fire energy balls. I mean, he had the dimensional abilities too of course but it sounds like all those other plasma effects would have been alot more helpful in a battle against someone like Apollyon.

He probably had a various number of abilities, Zoaknight, but seeing as his opponent had infiltrated the Ark and almost caused him to submit to his will, he was distracted. Also seeing that Apollyon could do the same things he could, and even manipulate his attacks against him, made Edward even more on edge instead of being focused on his opponent. Looks like he knew who his opponent was in the end, but until Takaya gives us the okay, we can only speculate.

His plasma ability may have been limited, it depends how he created the plasma... Like it could have been a effect of exchanging particles from the shadow dimension to normal space. The ball shape could also have been misleading as to how powerful they were, like balled lightning for example.

But he had also locked the room that the other Zoacrystals were being kept in by using his dimensional power on it. So Apollon had to defeat Caerleon to gain access and gave him yet something else to focus on at the same time.
