Scouts - probably equivalent to human with basic light ballistic body armor, are easiest to damage but stealth and speed make them hard to target.

Bio-Blasters - Capable of heavy fire power that can take out even tanks, but physically they are usually nearly as weak and vulnerable as Scouts.

Strength Type - Stronger and Heavier armored, are generally more bullet resistant but armor piercing and anti-personnel weapons can cause damage but unless vital organs are hit they may continue to fight. A few may have thick armor that will take anti-tank weapons to cause any significant damage. Some like the deep sea zoanoids can survive 5 miles deep and withstand tons of pressure that usually prevents anything larger than a enzyme from working. So it'll take more than a normal bomb shock wave to hurt them and some of them have the strength of 20 men or twice the strength of a Ramotith, even Gregole is only 15 men.

Pretty much all zoanoids are resistant to radiation. So even with a Nuke, many can survive unless they are in the instant kill zone and even close to there they can usually just dig into the ground deep enough to help shield them from the worst of the blast.

Hypers - The elite, were originally pretty rare but after X-Day Chronos started making a lot more of them. Durability range from being able to easily be able to withstand small arms anti-armor weapons to being able to withstand direct hits from artillery shells. Not to mention those like Zektole who can take anything short of a Triple Guyver Pressure Cannon before their armor gets penetrated. Even Darzerb was seen taking a direct hit from a enhanced Vamore blast from Aptom and it barely scorched him.

Neo's, the more powerful Hypers like Bio-Titans, and Zoalord types may have augmentations like the ability to generate a barrier shield and could then withstand anything up to a Mega Smasher. Gigantic Level Pressure Cannons can wear these down but even a single Gigantic Pressure Cannon can obliterate several floors of a skyscraper and basically blast it in half and that's more firepower than even a AC-130 Gunship is capable of producing.

Some Zoalords like Khan even withstood a nuclear strike in his Dragonlord form and are capable of producing their own Giga Smasher level attacks.

Overall Urban warfare will be extremely dangerous for human forces versus Zoanoid forces, all those places to hide and Zoaforms can attack from virtually any direction. Being strong enough to break through walls and through the ground or jumping from high above. Not to mention how they can use the environment to shield them from weapons fire. So primary tactic should be to get them out into the open where firepower can be focused on them for maximum effect.

AC-130 Gunship can lay waste to regular zoanoids but it's flies low and slow enough that it can be fairly easily targeted by the Bio-Blaster types. So priority would be adding laser resistant or reflective armor otherwise they would get blown out of the sky before they can help much.

Missiles can also do a lot of damage but targeting is key as many zoaforms can survive anything more than a near miss. Though against the occasional Hyper it'll be a good tactic.

Epps from Transformers:
Bogey 2, use 105 shells! BRING THE RAIN!

Oh, heck yes. Those guns would put a serious hurt on any Zoanoids they targeted. :)

105mm guns are 4" guns just to let you know. Probably more than capable to kill your average zoanoid.

However there are plenty of weapons out there. For example, there is a tank shell when fired will create a molten stream of I believe copper that can pierce any armor. Definitely capable of killing or seriously wounding even a hyper zoanoid.

For big armies, there are bombs that release dozens of smaller armor piercing rounds. Flyer zoanoids will have a hard time against aircraft guns.

Sully, I have plenty of pictures. I am going to have to take the time to scan them though. They all come from books I have.

Well here are a few guns that may help.

GUA-17 0.30" Mini Gun

GAU-19 .5" Gatling Gun

25mm Mark 38 Gun

All three above are detachable and can be bolted down to the floor of some building or street. The first two can be mounted on vehicles.

40mm mark 19 Grenade Launcher

This can launch grenades that definitely can break up at least low level zoanoid formations. Probably not kill them but injure them at least.

0.50" 90 caliber Browning Machine Gun

Good old fashioned 90 year old weapon. Used on everything including vehicles. Might be able to stop low level zoanoids.

Well you can look around the Navweaps.com website. Mostly naval guns and weapons though. I still have to look up various books I have to find good pictures to use on your site.

Yup, very powerful guns... Though should let the others know that recoil is very powerful as well and they can potentially flip a vehicle they are mounted on... Something like a jeep and fired out towards either side of the vehicle can cause the vehicle to flip for example. Though Armored vehicles should be okay... Tactically for foot troops, carrying adequate ammo and the gun itself would also be hard to carry on foot and unlike the movies no human can hold and fire them without first bolting them in place.

Standard Frag Hand Grenades in the face and especially into the mouth has been shown to kill Ramotith and similar zoanoids. So this should cause even more damage and can be more accurately applied for more consistent kills.

Can go through body armor like it wasn't even there and even light armored vehicles. So should be very effective against pretty much all regular zoanoids. Have to watch out for over heating and jamming though and recoil means it needs a stationary position when firing. Though combined with 50 BMG sniper rifles for longer range and more tactical flexibility should make it pretty effective combo... Like take out the Bio-Blasters first and then mow down the rest...

Most of these guns can be mounted on a Humvee. Military stopped using Jeeps over 20 years ago. Obviously no one will be firing these guns on their person.

I have personally fired all of the above weapons at least once. The GAU-19 gatling gun is the most fun just because of the amount of bullets it can fire. That and it's cool. I can definitely see any of these guns modified to be used on Red or Blue armors for the ACTF. Or used at the bases for defense.

As far as Frag damage, I think it's up in the air. Direct hits and shrapnel hits to vulnerable areas I can see, but even Gregore survived one up close though damaged.

The Browning gun doesn't jam that much like it used to and overheat problem is pretty much in any gun that fires large caliber bullets fast enough.

The big problem I do see would ammunition/supply. It's not like these guns will have 10,000 bullets all the time, at most a few hundred. Trained military men know to fire in short bursts, for controlled firing and save ammunition.
