Intro to the Dark Chronicles

Before I begin this thread of mine, let me just give another round of thanks to the members of WG.com who responded to my topic about Griselda. It was greatly appreciated, and gave me another area of respect for both our wonderful Mr. Takaya, and for all of the people who r involved in making this site such a wonderful place to visit. That being said, here is a little piece of imagination taken from an idea in the back of my mind (a very scary place to be, indeed).

Prologue:

"Many eons from now, when this scrap of history is recounted to the ages past and present, few will remember this sage wisdom as it has been handed down through thousands of lives, and along countless generations. In this dark journal of light and darkness, this feeble being's retelling of how such things as order and chaos fell upon the race of humankind, we will recall how so many of those whom we called friends, family, allies, lovers, and comrades wished to accomplish something so wonderful, so magnificent, and so hopeful in their individual steads, that they themselves fell to madness and insanity, and in doing so, embraced outright rage, destruction, and unending waves of pain and suffering to accomplish what they thought was the true path to enlightenment, peace, or whatever special task they placed upon themselves to achieve. Whether it was the path of ascension taken by he who now calls himself Avatar Ascendant, or the one who incredibly shackled the very fabric of the Darkness Forever to his will and whim to shatter its hold upon the will of man itself, these tales shall be spoken of here, within these Dark Chronicles, for it was only through the journey from darkness into light that our world now stands as it is."

I don't get it. Is it Guyver related somehow?

Sorry, McAvoy. Yes, it is to be Guyver related. I've created quite a few of my own characters ever since I discovered WG.com, just never had the time to send it over to here to get some views out of everyone here. What I intend to do with this storyline, if time permits w/ work & family, is to paint a world and time far into the future, slightly dystopian in its frame, but still better than what Chronos would have for the human race, and how the cast I created in the beginning may have changed if certain events shaped their future. One of the main people here started out as an accomplished scientist and researcher in the ACTF, albeit w/ sound military training to boot. He becomes bonded to a particularly powerful Unit, and also gains a vast amount of Creator knowledge. The story revolves upon how he sought to use that power to aid everyone, not taking very much for himself, and how that almost destroyed him in the process, changing him from a good man to a hard and proud warrior in battle, and a deadly tactician, once he truly understands all of the knowledge and power that has been passed onto him. Still working on a name for him, but for now, his working title is the Grand Minister of the Abyss (his armor shade is black w/ red biomaterial, hence the name.) W/ all good luck, it will be quite a good showing for me. Wish me luck.

I like it! It keeps the guyver's are gods feeling but there is something more to it. Kinda Guyver meets Mytholigy. I look forward to the stories. You very well could have just gained me as a fan . Oh, and I just thought you'd like to know, I think it's well written as well. Easier to read than scripture but with the same kinda feel to it.
