April 17, 200719 yr Author Sometimes i envisioned the gravity shield weapon being fired somewhat like Goku's spirit bomb The exact same with me, that's why I had to ask. Something that's been driving me nuts to know is how it would like visually. But also pressure cannon configuration works as well...imagine on Budokai 2...Vegeta's big bank attack being fired from the palm of his hand. So this is how it looks when its released usually? Like when he used it to defeat the Guyver Zoalord?
April 17, 200719 yr Visually it looks like WG is surrounded by a bubble of dark swirling energy that distorts space-time around WG. Kinda like the shimmering effect you get from something that radiates a lot of heat but in this case it's blue and red shifting the light that passes through the field as well as distorting it. And when fired the whole field just focuses at one point and then blasts away as either a wave or a cannon like pulse, depending on how focused it was when fired. This can be in any direction or even multiple as the energy can be divided for multiple simultaneous attacks as well. WG doesn't have do anything physically besides concentrate.
April 26, 200719 yr Author Here's another question pertaining to the body shield. How was it that when Jason first activated the unit, while fighting the Enzyme's, how were they able to scratch his unit through the body shield if its always active? Does the body shield work mainly against energy attacks and not against physical attacks? (My reason for asking is that I'm writing my own fic that I hope to post here one day, but I've come across that problem now and not sure how to deal with it)
April 26, 200719 yr Basically think of the body shield like the WG's immune system. Since the shield is always active it is optimized to use the least amount of energy to get the job done. If it was at full power all the time then WG wouldn't be able to touch anything for example. Another example is the body shield will stop a railgun (near light speed projectile weapon) bullet but won't stop a regular bullet because it poses no threat to a WG armor. So a threat has to be recognized and then countered. But it's the Body Shield that allows the WG to adapt to biological attacks so after the first attack the unit adapted the shield to neutralize the acid at the moment of contact. Thus making the WG immune to the Enzyme Acid. It was also the body shield that kept WG together after the Bio-Titan had blown him nearly in half. And it is the body shield that the cloak, power wave, and similar abilities are derived from.
April 27, 200719 yr Author Visually it looks like WG is surrounded by a bubble of dark swirling energy that distorts space-time around WG. Hey Juggernought, this sounds just like on Budokai 2 at the beginning if you let the intro play, their's a scene where Kid Buu is in the sky and creates that massive ball of dark energy that Goku ends up destroying with his Kamehameha. If it was at full power all the time then WG wouldn't be able to touch anything for example. That's true, I guess that's why at first I always thought that it was only activated during an anticipated attack, which is how I thought the Enzyme got to him. But I understand now. I also think I imagined the body shield wrong also. I was thinking it was slightly off the body a few inches, but now I see its directly on the skin of the armor. No space between the two. And it is the body shield that the cloak, power wave, and similar abilities are derived from. Which is why he's more vulnerable when using these abilities....I see.
