This my friends, is the prime reason that I love the internet. People from all around can come together and express whatever opinions they want! From the insightful, to the downright ridiculous. So tell me, what do you think.

In my own opinion, only one word will suffice.

HA!

Best of all. It worked. Read the very bottom for details. I love how easily american business will bend over and take such things without any KY jelly. It's quite amusing.

Well, it's hardly just American companies that find themselves in such situations and rolling over to avoid trouble. Most cases world wide are resolved with settlements out of court.

But I always had a feeling about those Apple Switch adds.

Like the lies they keep on spouting like they never crash, etc.

I use Mac's at work and can definitely say those ads are full of *&%#

Btw, the present PC guy is actually an editor and mac user and the actor playing the Mac Guy is a PC user.

Maybe they should get the people in ads to switch first

And I always thought the people behind the mac were sort of nuts anyway, there marketing was borderline suicidal up to the point they created the ipod. But they're still sort of mental.

Like the ram used in a Mac is exactly the same as the ram used in a PC but they charge you extra for the Mac labeled one

And tough luck if you want to customize your mac system. Though not as bad as the old days when every upgrade meant buying a whole new mac computer. Now you can do some minor upgrading, but things like being limited to only one drive bay (which most CD/DVD drives won't fit without a little modding) really limits what you can do.

Uhh... The sear mention of the word Mac sends a shiver up my spine. Mac's are evil I can't stand them I think I'm less afraid of Allen here then of the thought of actually having to use a mac.

Oh, I forgot to mention that since they switched to OSX

Apple charges for every incremental version release even though technically each version is basically just fixes to the previous versions.

But they charge you like each update is a whole new operating system.

Even Super Greedy Microsoft doesn't do that. SP1 and SP2 updates were free for Win XP.

Also Apple feels compelled to give each version it's own cat family name. :?

But on the plus side they are easy to network.

Though the only reason they don't have as many viruses as PC's is because there aren't enough of them to warrant hackers making viruses for them. However there are a few out there, which is another misleading fact the switch ads forget to mention.

Oh, and anyone buying a Power Book (Mac Laptop) be advised their manufacturing line are run by morons.

The machines will tend to over heat because they put TOO MUCH thermal paste on the CPU.

Simple fix is just to scrap off the excess.

Guess they never heard too much of a good thing can be bad.

Also Apple has had it's share of those exploding batteries.

Which leads to a surprising fact with Apple. . .

They are basically the same inside now as PC's.

Aside from some code, the OS, and the CPU, everything else is the same.

Open one up and you will see all the same technology as in a modern PC.

Though in some cases they are little behind, like using IDE instead of Serial, etc.

But with the new Duo Processors, which are basically just modified from the PC version, they can even Run Windows XP on the same system.

Course they still tweak the motherboard to make it difficult for PC's to run their OSX.

But OSX itself is just recoded UNIX (For those that don't know UNIX was a PC operating system for servers, etc. and is the code source that gave birth to LINUX).

However they never bothered getting industry backing so there are very few drivers that work with OSX. Many programs thus have to be run on OS9 which is run in emulation on OSX.

But they are getting smarter in some things, like they are presently working on a deal to get their own version of DirectX.

If they get it then you would be able to run the latest games on Mac's without waiting 6 months to a year for those games to be recoded for Mac's.

ATI is even coming out with a special video card for them that will support SLI on the newer Mac's. Impressive specs too.

But Apple has a history of taking good ideas and changing their minds at the last minute, which is why they never got a larger share of the computer market.
