What Guyver DVD's have been released? Are they region 2? Are they English language?

OK the only region 2 release in the uk is an edited version of guyver dark hero which is also no longer being made

in the states

both live guyver movies our out uncut

the 12 ep series has been released by manga US but, no more copies wil lbe made as they have lost the rights to the series

The new guyver series has only been released in japan so far, no news on when it will come out in the US

I thought the original series was 2 X 12, am I getting confused with the new one?

Wasn't there also an original animated movie? (before the series).

Would you recommend the directors cut of Guyver, or the normal version?

Are the US (uncut) live action versions worth getting hold of?

What about the uncut version of the original series?

OK let me make thios clear

first guyver animation was guyver: out of control - the one with female guyver 2, it was onlyt ever released on video in the US with subtiles, it is out of print, u best hope is ebay and you would need a vhs palyer that handels US tapes, or Download it, but do not asked for details on how to do that as they will not be provided here as its agaist the rules

then there is the 12 ep series

was released on dvd in the US, the last ep is still cut in english but u can watch it uncut in japanses. This is the manga US dub of the series, though the dvds will be out of print soon as manga lost their rights to the series

the live action movies are only uncut and on current dvd release in the US

the 2nd movie was released in the uk on video and dvd cut but is out of print

the new TV series (26 eps) is only avliable in japan, IT HAS NOT been dubed into English yet, no information about when this will happen yet

Untrue. The US version of Dark Hero, does indeed have about 30 minutes of extra film onn top of the UK version, but i've heard hearsay that the Japanese version contains even more. I emailed Steve Wang himself a while back to confirm that. I beleive he said he initial cut was about 3 hours long...

Personally i prefer the UK cut of the film, it's much tighter and a little less hammy than the US version, but hey i'm a completist, I own 5 different version of it and 2 of the first film.

Mmh, I don't know if someone will mind but... Both live-action movies are in very cheap prices right now in Amazon.com.

I have been a fan of this Guyver for sometime and was renting the DVD From BB. From what I read you can not get the english version, is there a good place to get the new DVD english online in the USA?
