-Is the new series better than the original?

-Are there any plans for bringing the DVD Box Set to America?

It's all a matter of opinion really, but I think the only complaint is that it's not as bloody as the original. But everything else is vastly superior.

There are no plans for a Region 1 DVD release yet.

There is no plans for a second season yet, either.

Well, thats really up to the individual. I think it's pretty awesome, but the old one is not without it's charm.

The DVD is out NOW! At least in Toledo, Ohio....

The new one is better mizuki is no where near as annoying and the quality of the animation is better. As for the series ADV will be relising it soon I think sometime in November.

Clarification, they aren't releasing the entire first season yet.

Rather they are releasing individual releases that contain 4 episodes each. The entire season was 26 episodes. It won't be till about next Christmas when they'll release the entire first season as one box set.
