Will we ever see a new Guyver series/etc. in near future?

Thats the question I hear alot nowadays from many a Guyver fan. So many other series, and shows, and comics have gone through the "rebirthing" process recently, I can definitely see the Guyver following that trend. Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and Battle of the Planets (G-Force to some) are just a few of many that have resurfaced, and gained new cult following along with long-time fans. Guyver is a good, no great canidate for such a thing. It, even after 10 or more years has fans craving for it. Such evidence can be seen in this now, with companies like Max Factory STILL making toys/models from it. So I ask WG.com, we will see our beloved Guyver anytime soon? Not a re-release of older material, but a new take on it, or a remake, or a continuation.

Ah no, I don't think we'll ever see a new Guyver anime

Because Guyver is an anime and manga which is really only popular amongst the members of this board, and unfortunately 328 people just isn't enough of a fan base to issue a new anime, it is just enough however to keep the manga going.

ANother thing to point out is that The Guyver is a very underrated show. Not many fans in the US and probably not a whole lot in Japan either.

The majority of the time for there to be a sequel, it has to be within a year of the previous TV/OVA/movie etc. Well it has been 14 years since OVA 3.

Don't count on it my friend, because it probably won't happen.

If there ever was a new guyver series, I hope they could take it to outer space or have it involve more guyvers. Sorta like in the gundam wing/seed series, always involving wars. But you never know what Takaya may surprise with in the future books!

Hmmm a new Guyver series? I'd like to see that and more Guyvers would be cool but first we gotta finish up the first classic series and new anime would be awesome also but there's no guarantine (and a lot of doubt) that it could happen. :(

As I mentioned before, a sequel is usally done within a year of the previous anime and well.... more than a decade has past, so this more of a dream. I wouldn't count on it.

I don't really like speculation, even more so on this area of the board which I like to keep free of fan-fics and other non-offical stuff.

Ok hear are the facts:

1. Guyver has not been as popular as it is now in over 10 years (when the movies where last made).

2. Since Kadokawa took over the publishing of the Guyver books it has still been publishing them for 7 years. NO business would do that unless they where making money.

3. Guyver is getting a new series of models made as we speak, Guyver 1 and Guyver 3 have been released (though in different ways) and we are awaiting Aptom.

4. Manga Video released Guyver 1 to 12 on DVD.

5. We are going to soon get the Guyver and Guyver2 Dark Hero on DVD

The above only means one thing, Guyver is still popular. This site is not the easist to find on Earth and not all visitors bother to even be a member. Does not mean they have no interst or want to buy it. Next not all Guyver fans know of the site.

So lets just wait and see, fact is we've never been in with such a good chance to see a new Guyver series as now.

This topic will be locked now and will not be re-opened until there is something offical out there to say YES or NO to a new Guyver series.
