Guest Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 Alright...I'm sick and tired of Viz comics...they have to pay for stopping the Guyver Translations...I'm suggesting a collaboration from those who are respectibly irritated by Viz Comic's Haitus on Guyver. We should all write an essay length letter and send it to Viz via email or mail or both and continue to send until we get replies. We should complain dramatically about the halt on Guyver and basically tell Viz how stupid they are for putting Guyver on haitus. I think that perhaps if we all send enough of these extremely annoying letters than Viz will have no choice but to either continue the translations or sell it to a company that will. Are you with me? I hope so...Viz will pay for its stupidity...There is no stopping the cascade of horror that Viz will feel if we all work together. I will shortly post my own letter on this topic (unless instructed otherwise or if it is too long) so maybe we can have a sort of model for our complaints...I will do this as soon as possible!
Guest Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 How about someone compose a single letter then we could all flood them with it (spam them) everyday until we get a response? The way I see it, one of two things will happen - we will either be ignored , or we will get our beloved comic published again .
Sully Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 From what I remember they tend to ingore fans of books they cancel.
Guest Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 A month ago or so there was a topic about contacting Dark Horse to see if they are intrested. What happened to that plan? I think it is better if we persuade Viz to sell their Guyver 'rights' to another publisher because I doubt we will be able persuade them to start translating it again. P.S. If Viz ignores your mail and e-mail I suggest you send your letters in brick mail
guyverfanatic Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 I have sent an email to Viz wondering about The Guyver, but apparently they don't give a crap about us. I suggestion we just send them TONS of emails everyday and try to get a response that way.
Guest Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 Actually fans did get viz to restart Urusei yatsura for a short time but then it got canceled again. Anyway, to the guy who wanted to mail bomb viz, I came up with a plan like that about four years ago and it didn't work. In my opinion the way to go instead of trying to convince viz to restart it would be to convince them to sell the rights to someone else. That would take alot less effort for them to do and they might be willing to do that more.
guyverfanatic Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 I posted this subject on the AnimeOnDVD forums, hopefully Carl Horn or someone else who works at Viz will make a reply. http://forums.animeondvd.com/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=175704&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#Post175711
Guest Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I'm with yah! We should bombard them with emails until they sell the rights to Dark Horse or another company. I mean how long can they ignore us for until we start to really irritate them? And believe me, I can be very irritating when I want to be.
Matt Bellamy Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 First of all, the board itself wil lnot support such actions. Bombarding them with E-mails and letters, and generally being annoying, is NOT the way to do things. Nor is it productive. Topic locked.
