here are some guidelines for signatures.

it is guidelines so if your image is 2 pixels too big it's not the end of the world.. but try and be reasonable.

signatures should not become bigger than this pretty picture i drew.

this is 700 Pxls wide, 150 pxls high.

Animations should be HALF as wide (or less), total file size no larger than 600Kb. if in doubt ask an admin.

note: if you use text or tables in your signature, it can appear wide, but the browser will wrap or resize it if the screen is changed, so the width is not as important as the height in those cases.

Question, are the sigs becoming a problem? I'm a bit curious

we just noticed a couple that were a little extreme.

I don't have a major problem most of the time, I think we just need to make sure that the forum doesn't become more signature than conversation. :wink:

Okay, I see where you're coming from, I've visited other forums and they're sigs are mad long and they make loading the pages so long! I think we have guidelines and rules about the sigs becuase if it took 20minutes to load a single page, I would've left this place a long time ago

Hey guys, *I don't know if i can post here but i just need to say this* Well its not only the Signature and the Avatars affecting the Loading Speed. You guys also need to check your connection if it is Fast or Slow, and i nearly forgot, if you want to make a forum, you should try to take a look at it stats or try to join some other forums that are using the same thing. Because it also affects the Loading Speed. *Like Invision and SMF For Free, also FreeWebs*

What about schedules for certain TV shows?

I don't see any problem with it as long as it's not any more than.. say... 4/5 lines

That could be a problem since each line represents a different time slot for each episode of Power Rangers, that I calculate about 42 lines.

When I'm trying to update my signature I get an error "You may only use up to 2 images in your signature. You may only use up to 3 urls in your signature."

 

But I have 3 images and 5 urls in my signature

 

Anyway, can that strict rule be changed, please? I wanted to update my signature with some Guyver urls, no abuse, it actually will be lower than before. There will be  4 urls and 4 pics. It will look like that:

 

 

ok, I just checked on it. I don't see any reason why most people would need more and I want to make sure there isn't too much data. I think member++ can be trusted with this enormous responsibility though.
