  1. As of 6:55 p.m. my father Joseph P. Grigaitis was declared deceased. He was a great dad and friend. He certainly was a great teacher to me. I thank all of you here at the board for thinking of me, and caring for my situation. I knew it would happen sometime today. However it would make me very happy if you would offer whatever thoughts you can for my family. As I am holding up significantly better than they.
  2. Well it seems that this is the end of this horrible ordeal. late last night they found a blood clot in one of the arteries leading to the pancreas. So dad has 12 hours give or take.
  3. Well last I checked yeterday and today he is doing better. A lot of doctors from the hospital he is at, and some out of state places are collaborating on this issue. I was more pessimistic in my first post, because everyone else in my family believed this was the end. However yesterday and Sunday night I talked with a friend of mine, his mom is a nurse and thus he has insights that my family lacks. Some of those included whether or not the individual in question has the will to live. My father has demonstrated he cirtainly does not lack this quality. Further his tumor is not growing though there is some swelling inthe suroundding area. The medication he is on is helping with this problem. I would like to re-emphisize that today he was much better.
  4. Okay within the last week my dad was diagnosed with pancriatitis(sp). This means he will not be able to continue his chemo(sp) therapy. So regardless of whether he beats the infection, his brain tumor will still kill him. Right now it is very difficult for me, because I am very close to my father. I know some of you here know what I am going through. Also pretty soon I will most likely be moving away from Kalamazoo, and move back closer to my mom and her family. I hope for your support and understanding.
  5. Yeah I can sympathize. I saw the movie last night, and I was underwhelmed by the overall film. However it didn't really hit me until a couple hours later. My only hope now is that Pirates 3 and the Fantastic 4 sequeal will not disappoint me like this movie. Also did anyone hear about Tobey Meguires destruction of a fans camera. Hmmm, someone is going to be settling a lawsuit soon. Spoiler The Venom aspect had impressed me, it ws also kinda funny to see Brock jump into the sonic cage created by Spider-Man just as he tossed a bomb in there to finish off the symbiote. Also to further explore the "childish Hatred" you talk about Matt. Brock was idiotic to think he had any right to be angry with parker, after he used Photoshop to incriminate Spider-Man. I mean if Parker hadn't found the evidence, eventually someone else would.
  6. Interesting. Okay well how eould this type of radiation work on a character like Thor. I mean it isn't like he has Hulks ability to absorb radiation like Hulk. This poses another interesting point. Albieit off topic somewhat. How would a nuetron bomb affect the outcome of the Earth vs. Asgard war few years back.
  7. That is great. What is there progress into reversing mental health problems like Autism in people. I do have a personal stake in this after all, as I have said I suffer from my own mental health issues.
  8. If you are talking bombs I don't think the hulk would survive a nuetron bomb, and or nuetron radiation. This is the type of thing you would use to wipe out a population while at the same time leaving the infrastructure intact. I will give a short explaination for those who want to know. Nutron Radiation Vs. Biological matirial results in total vaporization of said material. Nutron Radiation vs. synthetic material results in the survival of the material. Now as far as I can tell Biological organisms can not survive against this method.
  9. sorry, didn't think youtube would be a problem. Oh well.
  10. Hey moochers I want some feed back. Does this not make you laugh. Is this not a great anime. Dominion Tank Police Every time I watch this I laugh.
  11. Well, Matt I am not as pesimistic about Kira's entrance in to the series as you seem to be. In a lot of ways it makes sense. The whole Kira by just existing is fueling the fire between blue cosmos and ZAFT. Kira to me is necssary to make the series work. He is the ultimate coordinator. I just dislike shinn's obvious problems as a main character. Now as a important secondary character I could probbly tolerate him. The series would have flowed a lot better if you started with Athrun as the sole main character for the beggining and then introduce Kira later. Essentially do the smae thing except lessen Shinns importance a bit. And if the guys doing this series wanted to have Shinn in the picture they should have done some research with Zeta Gundam as their material. Yeah I know they messed some stuff up. However SeeD destiny tries to do essentially what Zeta does. The people who created this series should be shot or fired, because they shoot themselves in the foot at every important turning point. That is like cooking a what is supposed to be a great meal and for geting the crucial ingredients turning the meal to crap. I mean you can see the series potential and it lives up to it except for 10 percent of the time. That causes me to then have to work twice as hard to figure things out at time when the plot should be obvious. But this is me being anal. If you relax and ignore the mistakes made SeeD Destiny can be very enjoyable. Esspecially if you look towards the philosophy, and the characters developed properly. And I do kind of disargree with you on Shinn Matt in my opinion he was an ass from the beggining, it's just that this flaw is more exposed towards the middle to the end. Also the fact Shinn is never disciplined for very serious offense throughout the series concerns me. I mean everyone else has to tow the line and Shinn can just skate the rules, this seriously underminds Gladys's authourity. Granted she needed to be more assertive, still any one in the millitary has to be highly disciplined. This reminds me of an experience in SeeD. Yzac kills the refugees from the Archangel, and gets away with it, yeah I know he thought it was full of soldiers. However that changes nothing even if soldier instead of civillians were on that shuttle, it would still be just as reprehensible. It was after all unarmed. It seems ZAFT soldiers have a problem following the rules of war. Some would say it is the Earth Alliance fault as they launched a nuke. This is incorrect. We learn later Azreal and blue cosmos is to blame for this incident. Remember Azreal had access to nuke from his company. He dose run a heavy arms manufacturer.
  12. Okay I have recently revisited the series, and my opinion hasn't changed. For one Shinn is an idiot. I mean he acts like he is the only one who lost loved ones from the first series, and he doesn't follow orders. Okay let us just say he is a piss poor soldier. Now does that mean he's a bad pilot? No he is a great pilot. However he is mentally unstable, and that in itself is a question. How did he get into ZAFT? The creators of this series left a lot of frustrating holes in the plot. Now don't get me wrong I love the series. I just wish they had gone into more explaination on these subtle plot points. Shinn is the weakest link in the plot by far. Like I said he is a horrible soldier, let us go over his weaknesses as a soldier. Shinn is insubordinate, arrogant, self rightous, and just overall disrespectful. Oh let us not forget he believes everything Durandal says for most of the series. This essentially make him a puppet, as a result going against the very essence of being a soldier. Some people come under the mistaken impression a soldier follows orders no matter what. This is not true, a good soldier will follow all orders except those that cross into the realm of illegality. For example Nazi Germany. The Nazi's are a classic case of what happens when soldiers and the people stop thinking for themselves and allow others to do it for them. Actually come to think of it this really applies to Shinn. Further Shinn's quality as a soldier or lack there of aside. Shinn is woefully disrespectful to heads of state, this is a major problem, and he is never seriously disiplined for being a creep. I mena really any other soldier, who would treat a VIP like that would immediately be put in the brig, or discharged. Now a lot of fans of this series when it first came out liked Shinn. I was one of the people from the outset that saw the problems in his character. Further I saw his lack of judgement. As I have said he lacks discipline in a big way, and as we all know that is very important to even becoming a soldier. Hey maybe I am wrong, and I misread his character. Well that is kind of why I made this post, so we can discuss the series good and bad points. So fans of the series please come and respond.
  13. Okay still Jason Has beaten a Guyver Zoaloard albeit by a great deal of luck. He still beat the Zoalord, and that was in his weakest incarnation. So wouldn't it at least be possible for Jason to beat this 100+ class of opponent.
  14. Wait a minute I am confused. I thought Thor and Hulk were 100 tons, and yes Hercules too. At least last time I checked. So characters like Jason for one should have more than enough power and skill to defeat them. Also for the most part Thor's fighting style revolves around his brute strength. For example he does not employ martial abilities. Additionally Jason to my best knowledge has greater fighting experience against high level opponents than Thor. And to continue on that concept Jason also employs his psuedo precognitive abilties, and his other matrix based powers to the fore. The matrix give Jason a commanding edge against almost any foe. While we are on the subject of super powerful beings from WG universe, let us throw in the Kavzar element. These being are unrestricted by ethics and morals. They will just follow commands given by their masters with ruthless efficency. Jason would probably avoid needless deaths and casualties if the given situation allows and he feels generous. I would also like to ask. How am I reading this wrong. Last I checked the Hulk was not able to lift gigatons. When did the strength levels change for many of these characters.
  15. Yeah, Zeo I understand your point. However I think you are not fully understanding mine. Okay I will give you an example. I don't know if I have told anyone here this; but what the hell. I have a mental disorder called Aspergers(sp), I can't remember the specifics. However I do know it makes comunication with people very difficult, essentially my full attention has to be on a conversation or I can easily misunderstand something and take offense or say something offensive. This is probably where most of the conflics between myself and someone on the board have come from. However compared to most of the people with my condition I have it very easy. There are those on the other hand who are not so lucky. For me it can be a constant frustration to see the ease other people have with social interaction. For someone who didn't dram a lukier lot in the genetic lottery I can only imagine the pure hell they endure. I mean really even someone who has had a serious physical injury will still probably have their mind. And let us not forget how compassionate the populous is towards people will mental disorders. Yeah I am being very snide and sarcastic. People in general will make a show of caring, but will still avoid contact with such people. Let alone be their friends. For people like me we hide our status, and feel a great deal of shame. Now you tell me if God is a loving and caring being, I'll tell you your full of it. It feels like we are being mocked and laughed at by this tyrant.
  16. Okay, so that means Dreadnought should mop the floor with Thor in his non odin power form for certain. Jason could probably take on pretty much anybody. Perhaps Jason could even take on a cosmic being. So given that a standard guyver is a 40 ton character, that should mean Agito is a 100 ton character. This means Agito can tangle with 100 tone characters easily given his 1200 men rating. Heck even his 400 men rating would give him that ability as a 160 ton character. That is if my math is right. This would especially apply to characters who only have strength as their super power. I mean 100 ton characters are rare in marvel so the guyvers would steamroll over most of the marvel characters, and that is without pulling out their other weapons systems. Though it is tru I am being unfair, I mean comparing WG to Marvel they are not even the same concept, nor are they intended to ever collide, not to mention cultural differences. But I just can't help myself, I mean Hulk, Thor, Hercules, and any other super strong character often only have fights in their own power class. Imagine a standard guyver megasmasher that at it's max is half a kiloton. This is enough to give pause to someone like Thor, Adam warlock or the Silver Surfer. Hmm how could I have forgoten about him?
  17. I haven't been on very much due to it being finals week. However now I am free and able to post on a regular basis. Umm, maybe I confused some people on my last post. I knew before you post Tyranthrax, that Agito would not win in a strength contest. I was wondering if Agito could use his energy weapons to at least stand a chance. The reason I rated the fights as I did, was due to the fact a standard guyver having the ability to defeat low to intermidiate strength superheroes. I tend to classify this range in the 10-40 ton category. A standard guyver could defeat this level of ability. Now maybe I am misunderstanding how 100 men translates to tons, if so please correct me, and explain.
  18. Maybe I didn't make myself clear on the thor vs. dreadnought concept. I meant thor prior to obtaining the odin power. Though that does bring up an interesting point, could dready beat Thor if thor was using the odin power. I mean from what I have seen the abiltities both of them use seems similar. I know Jason doesn't have the same knowledge thor possesses, but it seems possible fro Jason to win. On a different but similar note. Jason and Thor have differnt approaches to battle. Jason on the one hand will use his quantum computing abilities to out think Thor and use the best tactics to defeat him. Thor because he is a near immortal would not take Jason serious from the outset to his own detriment. Anyone who has underestimated Jason has paid a heavy price, just look at W'Kar. Greg learned Jason posseses a killer instinct and drive to win against all odds. Further evidence of this is the GZ fight. Granted Jason's victory was luck. He still defeated an enemy who for all intents and pouposes was a god. Now lets go back to jason's arsenal of weapons, one weapon inparticular might be a very good weapon to use against Thor "Quantum Reflection." Yes I know it is unstable and thus unreliable. However it would still be a nice option to keep on the table. Now I am not saying there is no way for Thor to win, I just think the deck is stacked more favorably for Jason due to the matrix. Now if Jason did not have the Matrix Thor would cream him no question. Oh by the way on the Agito vs. Hulk fight I was not thinking a straight strength contest. But even at that Agito would lose?
  19. How would the various guyvers match up aganist the marvel characters? I have been toying with this idea for quite some time. Here are some of my match ups Thor Vs. Dreadnought= Dready wins Hulk Vs. Zeus= Zeus wins Adam Warlock vs. Guardian= Guardian wins I could have read this wrong but I don't see the marvel heroes beating guyvers apropriate to their power class. Am I wrong. On second thought A Celestial vs. Dreadnought= possible draw/win for the celestial Zeus Vs. Thanos= Thanos wins
  20. In this thread we have been discussing Dready's time taveling and dimension hopping, as things that anger the Kregen. However we havenot discused the potential effect of Dreadnoughts weapon systems. As you have said Zeo Dreadnought Matrix Bomb is A Zero Point Energy Weapon. As it redistributes the energy of Space-Time, would this also have an undesireable effect from the Kregen's perspective.
  21. I don't know if you are aware; but Brian burned out a couple years ago. None of us were surprised at the time it was pretty evident that he needed a break. In fact the whole site has been on a haiatus for 2 years. I am not really upset nor are many of us WG veterans. Basically all of us have for the most part been too wraped up in our own lives to participate fully. For me it is the abovemingled with a healthy dose of procrastination, and laziness. On to other things though, Like I have said Agito is to improatn to be killed off at this point, as we have barely gone past 1/4 of the story.
  22. Well the reason I posted this in the first place is I like Agito. I mean he is a really compeling character. He is the Dr. Doom of WG. I think he might be alive; but with the teleport block, and getting caught by that attack. I think he suffered serious damage.
  23. Okay even though Jason screwed up, I just can't vilify him. The Kregen (some jerk is nitpicking spelling) are playing God even if they do not realize it, this is a fact. Yeah Jason caused Anubis or did he? I argue Jason was a contributing factor; by challenging Greg’s Supremacy. However he was hardly the sole or major factor. In truth it was Krullnar who started that chain of events, and it was WG2 that caused Krullnar's need for revenge. So that automatically removes Jason from the realm of responsibility. Then the girl from W'kar's universe came seeking Jason's help, and Jason was really bailing Steven (can't remember if this is the right version) out of trouble. Ultimately the real blame lies with the creators. So why are the Kregen sending assassins after Jason? I am sorry I just can't lay sole blame with Jason. He's responsible, but he is not the only guilty party. Further the Kregen share the blame here too. If they allowed the paradox to happen in the first place, they are to blame as well.
  24. Okay so the W'kar element is natural. I still think W'Kar has greater potential to scew up and or destroy the multivers than Jason ever could dream of. I really don't see the difference aside from the whole time war paradox/paradox's I haven't really noticed Jason Time taveling all that much. Also Jason creating Anubis seems to be a conveinent excuse for the kreegen, Greg wasn't playing with a full deck since he obtained the unit-W. Personally I think the Kreegen should be elated Jason is such a level headed individual. Further it seems Jason is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. Adduitionally the kreegen are not blameless in this instance, their hypocrisy is pretty substatial. W'kar even though he is not damageing the mutiverse has done the exact same thing Jason did. I also don't believe they can really know for sure that Jasons intervention may not be a blessing in disguise. It just seems to be a double stadard Greg can skate by and slip around the rules, and Jason does the same and gets the shaft. No w the kreegen have sent Greg as an asssasin for Jason, and making jason an enemy is about as samrt as making Greg an enemy.
  25. But doesn't the barrier have more to do with WG2's creators than Jasons actions. I dont know it seems to me the kreegen are nitpicking. I mean Jason cant be the only one breaking the rules. In addition who elected the kreegen as the ultimate authority on temporal damage. I mean the creators have said they think time itself is alive, and will work to fix any damage infilted. Further the comment 'time itself' is a singular phrase, so that to me indicates a single entity rather than a race of people. Also the W'kar element itself is more of a threat than Jasons limited temporal jumps. While we are on that track let us not that Jason is not changing the past every day. Jason just like anyone else knows changing the past is a dangerous thing to do. Also he has been forced to time travel more than once, so I really don't get the Kreegens outrage. Here is something else to chew on, could the kreegens interference with other dimension be considered a breach in itself?
