  1. Sorry i havent got to work on this much my computer broke a while ago and it took a bit to fix it but i want to start working on this again. Also while my computer was broke i did some work on the art for this char. Mostly his zoanoid forms but im pretty happy with his first 2 forms. which i still havent completed but for the most part just need touch ups and color. if u havent seen the first from its over on my deviantart page: http://oo-kiyoshi-oo.deviantart.com/
  2. This is the state of my Guyver Fan Fic. Which isnt actually about a guyver but about a Aptom Clone. Prologue Chronos Japan Branch Headquarters “Ahh if it isn’t the prodigal son himself. What brings you all the way down to section 9?†“Well good Doctor I would like you to compile all the data that we have on file for all the Lost number units that we have made over the past few years.†“Oh? And what would you be wanting with that? Planning a little project are we? I don’t remember you being posted to any development teams.†“Let’s just say that I foresee that information being useful in the near future.†“As you say Lord Makishima.†“Oh and Doc, let’s keep this out little secret shall we?†“Again as you say my lord.†--- After the events of relics point and the appearance of the gigantic Guyver. The rebel group Zeus’ Thunderbolts have immerged with their own personal task force of specially designed Zoanoid soldiers and even a Pseudo Zoalord by the name of Griselda. But even having these advance soldiers, the will of Agito Makishima is unsatisfied. One zoanoid has eluded not only the Guyvers but Chronos as well. That one Zoanoid, Atpom, is the epitome of zoanoid evolution. Always changing, always evolving into a stronger Power. Agito’s Invasion of the Arizona Branch was not only to gain access to the decrepit ship under the facility, but to also gain access to the data files kept on record in regards to Aptom’s original processing, which occurred in the Arizona Branch. Having originally collected all of the data from the now destroyed Japanese branch regarding Dr. Barcus’s final modifications to the original Aptom. Makishima needed the exact DNA sequences used to make the First Aptom. With that data Dr. Hekkering could make an army of Aptoms, even making then completely loyal to Makisihima, like the Libertus. Even tho the Arizona branch was destroyed in the resounding fight between Guyver 3 and the Two Zoalords. The Data required for Dr. Hekkering to start work on recreating Aptom was acquired. Meaning the project to form Makishima’s army could start to take shape. Later with the re-appearance of Richard Guyot and his own personal armor of merging Pseudo-Zoanoids, the Unus, as well as Guyver II F. Makishima must redouble his efforts in developing an even more powerful tool in his plan for world domination. --- Chapter 1 The Birth of Ares “This is the first sample to actually survive the initial processing phase. It seems to be showing no signs of rejecting the abnormal DNA sequencing. All tests show that it is in line with the original results of the original Aptom.†“How long until we can start mass production?†“This type of processing is different than that of the Libertus. The circumstances needed for this particular sequence of genes to form is at best 1:100000. I will still need a large number of subject to test before I can commence with mass processing. This time around we used a younger subject than normal hoping that his genetic make-up would be more flexible and thus more likely to adapt to the irregularities in the processing procedures.†“And the total Loyalty of the Libertus can be implemented into this new Ares of yours?†“Ares? Seems fitting, but yes I believe so. Like the Original Aptom who was subject to the control of the 12 zoalords, I can modify this model to respond to Griselda’s Telepathic commands. After that the optimization process used by Doc Barcus will need to be modified so that it remains under control.†“So how long until we find out if it abilities are on the same level of Aptom’s?†“This phase of processing should be finished by the end of this week. If all goes as planned we should be able to run some field tests immediately. Then I can start working on the optimization that Barcus used and modifying it to our needs.†“I expect you to produce more like this one within the coming months. With Guyot and the Artificial Guyver II F ruining our plans we can’t afford to sit ideal for long and with the Liberus unable to stand up to the Unus after they merge we will need a something to give us the upper hand.†“Well then why don’t you get out of my Lab and leave me to do my work.†--- He awoke in a small room. The light from the socket in the ceiling hurt is eye. It was almost like he had never used them before. Turning his head to look at his surroundings reveled a white nondescript room with nothing but the bench that he now laid on and a toilet. Where was he? Better yet who was he? He couldn’t remember anything from before now. This didn’t bother him as much as he assumed it should. He swung his legs over the side of the bench and sat up. Feeling the hard compressed mat that he had been laying on under his hands was odd. Everything seemed off with his senses, but then again he couldn’t remember how things should have felt. He tried to think of anything from before but nothing came back to him. Before he could think too deeply about this issue a door that he hadn’t previously noticed opened to reveal a tall dark haired man. “How are you doing Ares?†“Ares? Is that my name?†“Yes, you are named after the ancient Greek god of war, one of the sons of Zeus, which just so happens to be my name. So Ares how are you feeling?†“I… im not sure. I can’t remember what feeling … feels like. Some things seem familiar but… different somehow. “ “Maybe I can help you with that. You see when we found you, you were discarded and left for dead. A failure in the eyes of your creators, Chronos. We took you in and found a way to stabilized you. Unfortunately we were unable to repair the parts of your brain that contained your memories. It appears that you were being used as an experiment for something we call a zoanoid. But something went wrong and your conversion didn’t take so you were discarded. Chronos would rather throw away what it can’t use than to try and save the life of a child that they were using as a genie pig." The Man walked into the room and sat next to Ares putting his hand comfortingly on his shoulder. The weight of the man’s hand on Ares’s shoulder gave Ares another feeling he didn’t quite understand. “But… what exactly did they do to me and why?†“You see Ares, Chronos is an Evil organization that rules over the world and we are trying to free ourselves from them. They take innocent people and turn them into these monsters called zoanoids. Then use the zoanoids to enslave the rest of the population. People are living in fear. We are trying to save everyone from those monsters. Like I said my name is Zeus and I lead this organization against this evil. I was granted a great power called the Guyver. It’s a Divine power bestowed to me in order to fight those who would enslave us all. Ares we saved you because you too have been granted a great power.†The man’s grip on his shoulder tightened but not in an uncomfortable way. “We need people like you Ares. People that have the power to fight against Chronos. I know this is all very confusing to you right now but, will you help us Ares? Will you help us to fight this enemy? To prevent them from doing this to anyone else? “ Ares sat there for a minute and tried to take this all in. Trying to figure out how he felt about the question. Did he feel anything? What exactly had they done to him? What was this great power this man was talking about? Could he just go home if he said no? Where was home anyway? Too many things were unknown for Ares to make a decision. Zeus must have saw the questions in his eyes. “You also need us Ares. The steps we had to take to save you also left you with a serious condition that can only be treated with daily doses of a medication that we have to make specifically for you or you would die within a matter of days without it. We also know nothing of where you come from so we wouldn’t even know where to take you if you wanted to go home. But Maybe as we fight Chronos we can find out more about who you are and where you are from.†So Ares didn’t really have a choice at all. He had to stay with these people or die. “But how can I help? I don’t know anything about Chronos I can’t give you any information.†He looked over at Zeus taking in this man that he had only just meet. Zeus had a fair complexion and straight jet black hair that hung down to his shoulders. He looked to be about 185 cm (6 ft) tall with a medium build but muscular. He was wearing what looked like a black uniform with some kind of insignia on the collar. Looking closer at the insignia Ares found that it was actually a lightning bolt in the shape of a Z. Looking down Ares examined himself for the first time. He was lean but not skinny, long legged but not tall, tan but not overly so. His body didn’t feel weak or sick. For the most part Ares felt healthy and well but he didn’t feel like a fighter or a soldier. “I don’t know how to fight and im not very big.†Ares estimated himself no more than 150 cm (4.9 ft), 45kg (100 lbs) and no older than 13 years old. What was he going to do in a war against Zoa-whats-it monsters? “Well you see Ares what Chronos was trying to do to you was turn you into a monster that they could use. A Zoanoid is what we call them but for some reason you didn’t work out the way they wanted you too and they threw you away and that’s when we found you, no longer human but not a Zoanoid either. You were what we call a Lost Number and most Lost Numbers die slow painful deaths alone but we were able to stabilize you like I sad. Lost Numbers are mostly discarded because they can’t be controlled by Chronos but some are kept because they display uniqueness that they think they can use, the whole time they are completely expendable and persecuted by the rest of Chronos. You my dear Ares showed great potential but also posed a great threat. You have the unique ability to copy any Zoanoid that you see, even coping some of the powers of my Guyver, but are completely uncontrollable. Had you been able to be controlled Chronos would have given anything to be able to use you against us, but just until you no longer became useful. Fortunately for them they couldn’t and thus you have come to use.â€
  3. thanks! i almost have a full body frontal sketch done then its just refining the design and outlining. also i wanna start on the story some. also i had an idea for a new char thats not a guy but is actually a Aptom clone created by Alfred Hekkering using data collected from a the Japanese branch and from the Arizona branch while G3 was there getting the Gigantic Dark.
  4. so i have been working on my own original guyver char for the past few years staring in 2005. i took a few years break cause i got busy with other stuff but since finding japan legend my inspiration has been sparked again so here some of it. i havent got around to shading and figureing all that kinda stuff out yet im still learning photoshop and im thinking of gettin a drawing tablet to work on too so. there is more on my deviantart page here: http://oo-kiyoshi-oo.deviantart.com/ im stlll working on the back story but i want to finish the char look first. but i so know that the char will be handicapped more then likely in a wheelchair.
  5. Lol sorry bout that. Yea I mean I donno I feel that 10 is still quite a good price for the base game now I think that frozen throne should be about 5 instead of 10 like the base cause for one its an expansion not a stand alone and the amount of content is considerably less than the stand alone base. But then again look at like wow that's like 10 for vanilla + 10 for BC + 10 for WotLK + 20 for cats + 30 for mists. That's like 80 in total just for a game that still kinda 10 years old
  6. what you forget is the fact that warcraft III is largely involved in online game play. Online game play requires servers and servers require money to maintain. if they game is no longer pulling in revenue from sales where is the money to maintain the servers coming from? other games? games like world of warcraft maybe? sure more then likely that is where most of blizzards money comes from. but what if they didnt have that title what if blizzards rein of games had ended at WC3? would the game even still be supported after 10 years? maybe, SC and D2 were but then again SC had a whole country almost dedicated to that game. So the company is spending money to let people to continue playing WC. How much does a server cost to maintain? well that depends on how many people still play the game and such. so if u really think about it the company is taking large hits financially because its a 10 year old game that doesnt for the most part sell alot of new units and have no monthly cost to play. now i know alot of old games that still support their online community but they are usually supported by independent private server bases. now of course Blizz does have Wow and while wow is also a 10 yr old game it does have that monthly fee and it also has a pretty steady income from new units sold. on top of new expansions sold each year and usually purchased with most new unit sales. not to mention they have a online store to sale ingame ... stuff. so yes Wow is their plow horse that gives them the wiggle room to keep their older games running. but is that greedy? really, if we think about it if u just look at wow's sales methods you might think yes. but when u look behind the scenes and see where alot of that income is actually going 10 $ or regional equivalent isnt that much to ask for a great game. regardless of age. also if u just wanting to play the single player and dont care about the online play i can see a little more from were ur coming but if u take the whole idea of "its a 10 yr old game" out and just think of it as a "great game" whol wouldnt pay 10$ for a great game with as much content as WC3 has. hell now adays companys charge u 15$ for extra maps or a few extra ingame items. which is the better deal. and dont get me started on the idea of stupidly expensive DLC now also dont take this as im trying to prove u wrong cause i kinda agree with u here, but in the spirit of playing devils advocate and looking at the issue from a different perspective i think some of these points are worth making.
  7. sorry i just read the part about the buy a game buy a license thing. and yea thats how it was back in the days of NES and SNES but things have gotten so much bigger then that now. Now when u buy a game ur not buying a license ur buying a access pass to the game. its kinda like going to a theme park. when u buy that ticket ur not buying part of the park ur buying the rights to enter the park and spend some time there and have fun. you cant buy a ticket go in stay all day then walk out and hand your ticket off to someone standing outside and be like oh here im done with this u can have it now. things dont really work like that with how tech has gotten games are more intellectual property. ur access pass lets u look at it and even play with it but u have no rights to what that disk or cartridge or whatever entails. in all actually even the idea of u being able to sell the game back to a retailer in the first place is kinda illegal if u really think about it. what right do u have to sell something that isnt urs? did u make that game? did you spend the countless man hours coding and programming its systems? then what right do you have to make any money on that game at all? i guess if u want to justify it at all you can say oh well i bought the game in the first place so i helped finance the game by paying the devs but really thats not even true. unless the game you bought is from an indi dev more the likely you just ended up paying the publisher which takes about a 30-60% cut of the profit from the sale not to mention the retailers fees and the shipping fees and such. and again if it is a indi dev the why would you wanna sell it back anyway? we need to support the good indi devs, they have it hard enough as is. well anyway thats my thoughts on that. oh and p.s. if u havent alrwady noticed im a little enthusiastic about games lol so we need a guyver game like 10 years again. i think the tech has finally caught up to the point that they could make a reaaaaly awesome one.
  8. actually on the point of friends lending friend games xbox kiiiinda gotcha covered there. when u buy a game and it is added to ur library 10 friends/family members now have access to that game and can play it just because u bought it. kinda like oh hey they got it let me try it to see if i like it and if its worth picking up. now whether they can play that game at the same time you are is still up in the air and also if u are playing a game on ur console only one person can play a game from ur library. still tats a pretty neat feature. also muck like on the psn when u buy a game its stored on ur account and u can log onto ur account from a friends xbox and playing just like u were home. only difference is thee xbox has to check into the home server every hour as apposed to every 24 hours. this could cause some problems if their home server is down which is more then likely going to be the main issue with this system. also its not really microsoft screwing the customers is places like gamestop (us) and Game (uk version of gamestop from my understanding) having worked at one fro about a year its insane how much they make of used games. they buy a game for dirt cheap like 5-10 $ US and then turn around and sell its for almost full price (maybe 3-6 $ less) and the devs never see a penny of that money thats like 500-600% profit margin on a single game. what do they make on new titles? meh maybe 5-10$ corp-wise so they want u to buy used games cause they make bank off of it. Also places like gamestop and game bully devs on the idea of forced pre-order bonuses because if someone pre-orders the game they are much more likely to actually bu the game regardless if the game is horrible or not. onto the other idea of piracy being used as a promotional tool i have one game for u "Game Dev Tycoon" if u havent already heard of this game you should check it out. the devs of the game released a legit copy on there site Green heart gaming (i think thats thier company name) and also released a version of popular piracy sites. the game only sold a few hundred copies but was pirated a few thousand copies. with a name like "Game dev tycoon" one can assume it has something to do with being a game dev which i thought was a kinda neat idea. anyway the devs put a condition in the game that could tell if u actually bought the game or not and if u had they thank you for it half way thru the game but if u didnt about half way true the game your company goes under from people pirating ur in game games. kinda ironically funny if u ask me. people were on the games forums asking how they could keep people from pirating thier games if they could research always on DRM and stuff which was kinda funny again cause this was right after the whole SIM City Always on DRM dabocal. anyway if u want some more info on the xbox stuff i think their offical site is up now with more specs and stuff and i know that Microsoft has canceled all their press conferences until after E3 this week so i think they have gone into quite mode while they try to crowd control all the negative PR they have from all the horrible choices they have made with the ONE.
  9. if u want to play warcraft 3 and want to pay for it there is a very easy way to do so. 1. Go to us.battle.net 2. Create an account. 3. Once your account is created Log in. 4. Go to us.blizzard.com/store. 5. Search Warcraft III 6. Both WC3 and WC3 expantion are available in both physical and digital versions. ($9.99 each) - Note: they also have the Battle Chest for WC3 if u like but that is only in the physical copy. ($19.99) i think someone else mentioned this in the earlier posts but for further reference. No Blizzard game will EVER be found on steam as steam takes about 30% cut from the devs when they sale goes thru steam. This of course depends on the dev and how much Steam wants that title on their service. Blizzard, while somewhat friendly to their fans, is still money hungry and wouldnt want to take the loss of the Steam cut. so they have their own in-house digital distribution via battle.net, which if any of you ever played the original Diablo 2 and Starcraft this may sound familiar. again sorry if this was talked about earlier. also love totalbiscuit <3
  10. hey guys im kinda new to the forums but finding this place was like a dream. as a guyver fan since i was 8, i loved the original and ate up pretty much every bit of guyver content i could ever find ever since. anyway the reason for posting here. Has anyone thought of a possibility of a kickstarter project for a second season? i donno how those REALLY work but if there was one to be made to promote a second season and it got enough following to either a) raise the money to fund the reinstallation or b) show that there is in fact enough interest in the series. againi dont know how all that stuff works but it was just an idea...
