After finishing The Conquered, I had some time and I got talking Ladena, especially since she had drawn me some absolutely fabulous pictures. Anyway when I was looking through her deviant art account, something you should all do, I found some other images which were awesome. Now... me being a writer, since they referred to a Guyver AU universe, I assumed there was this fic in Russian and frankly I was jealous! I was missing out on this great fic.... I wanted to read it and I would have put up with Google Translate! However, when I got talking to Ladena, she told me that unfortunately no, there was no fic but I pestered for the general outline and with permission I wrote her some of the scenes from her fic. It developed into something much longer than I thought it would be. I THOUGHT it would be a novella... it turned into a short novel. But I had a blast writing it and it got written... very quickly. So before I post some links to it... I'm going to post some links to the artwork that inspired it. But hey, I had fun and Ladena likes it So everything is good.

I've never posted it anywhere, though I did give it to Ladena and she drew that awesome picture... It's been so long that I even forget who's POV it was meant to be from! === Makishima Agito was a proud man. That's why, though he was hand cuffed on the walk to the execution platform, he was not concerned, he was not cowed, despite the four Hyper Zoanoids surrounding him, their claws dripping enzymic fluid. He'd been in that situation before. He was a Guyver and every time Chronos executed him, his control medallion simply bided its time and regenerated him. That was probably why he thought this was amusing, why there was an air of arrogance about him. He had said he would destroy Chronos and he had been trying for three hundred years. Eventually, because they could not kill him he would succeed. That was his arrogance. "It is inevitable." That had been his catch cry for centuries; a mocking statement taken from one of the Chronos Lords, a catch cry it was rumoured that the High Command of Chronos used themselves. Makishima Agito was a proud man. He even maintained that pride until he looked upon the face of the Supreme Lord of Chronos. "It is inevitable." I remember that man's voice was soft but it carried over the crowds that had gathered to see the Guyver's Execution and contained a note that I never expected; surety, sadness, confidence, frustration, happiness, discontent... I wasn't sure which because at the time I couldn't see the man who was guarded by Aptom and Alkanphel. I only understood when he stepped forward to attend to Makishima's final demise that it was none of the above. It's been over two hundred years since that day, the war with the Advents has been fought and won with bone chilling finality, Chronos is now a major power in the universe, their Lords rule whole star systems, whole races, but I know nothing has changed. His voice was broken. "It is inevitable." It was the voice of a man who had no hope to fight but it was also the voice of the man who rules Chronos to this day, who rules the Universe. It was the voice of a man looking for death but who knew it could not come. He is immortal, ageless, tired and broken; someone who did not want what had been forced upon them.
