    So, the movie is out on video on demand and it's coming to dvd/blu ray soon. Who is excited? -Sees people making NGE and PR comments- Ok people, NGE is not original or anything. It heavily borrowed a lot of elements you typically see in Super Robot shows, Real Robot shows, and even Tokusatsu shows. NGE is a deconstruction of the giant robot/kaiju genre, PR is a love letter to the genre. Comparing these two is like comparing Watchmen to The Incredibles. If you're gonna call PR an NGE ripoff or whatever then you better start calling Spiderman a Batman ripoff simply because they both wear costumes and fight crime.
