Okay, so I am an absolute extreme die hard Aliens fan, (probably more so of an Aliens fan than I am a Guyver fan) and personally I am so sick of so many corporations ruining the Aliens Legacy. The whole backtracking and redoing things that contradict the already established material is a huge pet peeve of mine.

For instance, the whole predalien Queen hybrid in AvP:R in 2007 has since then and continues to drive me nuts! And how people are expanding on that instead of correcting it drives me even more bonkers. I'm so sick of seeing people just ruining something so special and important like this just for $$$. I wish I had a position of power over the board of directors or something, so I could slap down these stupid ideas that basically slap fans in the face.

Okay, sorry for the rant, but felt like I needed to get that out there. I love the Aliens universe, and want more material but done the right way. I would love to get a hold of Fox and try to persuade them to make a TV series about an Aliens Apocalypse like the Walking Dead. A fan thing I know right? But how cool would that be!

Instead of messing around with the film characters or already established material start new with completely unrelated characters. A TV series of course because you can continue to expand on that and produce more material than just one 2 hour long film, and be cheaper on budgets. Plot could be post-apocalypse so we could finally see the nightmare and terror that Ripley was so scared of and tried to prevent.

 Here's the idea:

It's sometime between the events of Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection. It's on a new planet but an exotic luxurious touristic planet, much like Hawaii or Jamaica. It would of been one of the first ten planets colonized because earth had gotten too overpopulated and because it was such a beautiful and exotic planet millions upon millions of people moved to it, (that way there would be millions upon millions of aliens on the planet rather than just the 147 that were on Hadley's Hope due to it being a relatively new colony).

The show would start post-apocalypse and the world would all but be destroyed. People formed into groups and were fighting over resources etc. Aliens would be running amok in the millions and we could see new variations of them because of the other creatures on the planet. We could see remnants of the Colonial Marines had been sent but had been overwhelmed and wiped out as well as the Colonial Army. No word, on when reinforcements would return. Throughout the progress of the show we could meet new characters, maybe some Marine or Army survivors holding out that join the group. But the overall objective of the show would be to get off the planet as it has become too overrun and therefore could not be saved.

Haha, yeah if only right? Sorry for the random stuff but I think it would be cool to see a TV show like that. Anyways, there is a high demand for Aliens material, people want to see more aliens stuff, that's obvious with Prometheus, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Aliens: Isolation. I just hope FOX and others don't screw it up anymore or backtrack.

Lets get something straight. No one wants to see another Alien 3 or Alien: Resurrection. Honestly, they dont. Those were horrible movies, piss terrible. They were the worst of series. Alien VS Predator or the video games, hold no relevance in the series. None.

Ridley Scott was the original director that made Alien and James Cameron did Aliens, which the second film was supposed to be the end of that film series. Prometheus, is a prequel made by Ridley Scott, who by the way took the film series back to its roots. The others don't matter and wanting another Aliens sequel that you're suggesting has already been produced by various authors in graphic novels. No one wants those either which contradicts your idea against AVP-R as shown. That movie where Aliens attack Earth, was terrible too.

A TV Show?.... Sorry I'll pass. We get enough crap on television that could give most people a migraine.

I absolutely detest Alien3 and Alien Resurrection myself, and wish they would of left it alone after Aliens. Prometheus was just as bad if not worse in my opinion, it was completely terrible in every way imaginable. I'm well aware of AvP being a spinoff series and is not canon but thanks for backing up my position on that.

Yeah, I know I have a ton of those graphic novels and some of which are completely stupid in my opinion. They have too many contradictions in the world such as the predalien queen. And that movie was completely stupid and wasn't even the same species of aliens! It's like a deacon being called a xeno, they're not the same.

Personally if it was done the right way, I'd love a TV show, much better than a featured film as you can have more material in a TV show.

Personally I liked Alien 3 and Prometheus although I wont deny they have flaws (Prometheus especially). Th AVP movies are just crap, like Mirabilis the predqueen really, REALLY pissed me off. The do have some good ideas here and there but there just wasted. The comics have there ups and downs but thats really depends on whos doing the stories but I agree some of them are terrable. The AVP Deadliest of the Species comic is without a doubt the biggest pile of garbage I've ever had the missfortune of reading.

A TV show would be intresting but it would be to easy to screw up, plus if it was good FOX would just cancel it after two seasons. I've also heard that there maybe Resident Evil TV show in the works (another franchise I like that's been hammered into the ground by stupid ideas lately.)

Alien 3 really ticked me off as it made so many plotholes, but recently I had the privilege of seeing the Assembly's Cut of Alien 3 and it was infinitely better and made a heck of a lot more sense than the theatrical version. Though it still did have a few plotholes.

Yeah, that's why I would recommend new characters instead of messing with the film characters. I'd hate to see them do the same thing they did with the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Though they still could screw it up.

I just found out Dark Horse has been doing an interconnected event story called Fire and Stone.

Yeah, I've really wanted to get my hands on that comic series! One thing that really gets my goat is Dark Horse has some amazing Aliens comic story lines, but they're all really short, I haven't really found one (or know of one) that is extended or lengthy, or at least to the extent of say the W.D. or Ferals .=(

The longest ones are colonial marines and deadliest of the species but both aren't very good. The first AVP, AVP: War and AVP: Three World War all star the character Machiko Noguchi and could be considered a trilogy. Predator: Concrete Jungle, Cold War and Dark River are about Detective Schaefer, brother of Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer from the first Predator movie. The first three aliens story lines Earth Hive (originally called Outbreak), Nightmare Asylum and Female War all tie into each other although I recomend the novels over the comics as their better written.

The problem is that most of Aliens/Predator comics you find today were part of an ongoing Aliens and Predator comic series dark horse was doing in the 90s. Unlike other comic titles they didn't have a continuous on going story but series of short oneshot stories that lasted at most 4 issues and many of these would have different writters.

Right! Yeah, I prefer the novels to the comics for that very reason. I have a lot of the comics, not all of them, but there all roughly 4 issues like you mentioned. It just sort of sucks that they're so short. I try to get a hold of any AVP or Aliens comics that I come across in hobbyshops but they're extremely rare to find, around where I live.

i love reading the comics but they did start to get sloppy on the graphics side of things but seemed to picked things up with the new comics, didnt like when they done cross overs with other super heroes put me off them for a while, i would love to read the novels but my eyes are easily distracted and cannot concentrate either fall tired or cant concentrate but with a comic my eyes catch every detail and itching to read the next page.

Your best bet is ether ebay (some of the comics can be dirt) or go for the Omnibuses Dark Horse did a few years back. Though I should point out that they dont have every story, there missing the odd one like Newt's Tale and Alien 3.

The problem with the super hero cross-overs is that unless its heros like Batman or Judge Dredd theres no reason that the Aliens or Predators shouldn't be giving the heros trouble plus some are just awful (JLA vs Predator). The best are the the first batman vs aliens comic (the second is ok but it gets very weird, almost silly), all the batman vs predator comics, both judge dredd vs comics are good, while the plot of superman vs aliens is a bite contrived its a good read (the second series is just wasted potentiel. The strangest one is Predator vs Magnus Robot Fighter, it good but Magnus is a hero very few people know. He's originally from Gold Key Comics (who also created Turok and Dr Solar) but his rights where owend by Valiant comics when this was printed and he's now property of Dark Horse.

The strangest Predator cross over was when dark horse did an event called Predator: Hunting the Heros which had a predator just show up at random in 4 of their ongoing comics for one issue. In Motorhead #1 a predator is the first thing the title character fights, and its a bloody good fight. Ghost #5 is the worst, the predator dosent show up untill the last two pages, like a dumbass tries to stab the hero whos well, a ghost and then gets its brains blown out when she phases a gun through his helmet. I have yet to find an issue of X #18. Agents of Law #6 is the best although the artwork is not great (its rather 90s), after an awsome fight that starts from page one and involves fighting from the top floor of a tower block to the gound floor it ends with the Predator actually beating and beheading the main character!

As for the novels, I have a similer problem (I'm dyslexic) so if there not for you thats fine but they are worth it.

Don't be mad at Alien 3, be pissed at Sigourney Weaver and the other producers that let her make changes to her character and the story. Had David Fincher had his way with the movie, it would have been a master piece. But thanks to the producers, the movie was under budget, which caused the movie to go over budget because the studio didn't have enough materials. Than when the producers kept making changes. David quit and left the project go. So the producers took over, pretty much more or less. It was screwed from the start.
