Guest snow Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Does anyone think that Obama care can be fought off, or canceled some day if it does get approved? Its all over the news that politicians are saying that its hurting the nation. Business's can't afford it. Its under 10 million, its not meeting its quota.MY health insurance says that I need to switch to Obama Care. I refuse Obama Care because it is against my views and its no cheaper than the health care I am on. I really hope the people of the US try their hardest to fight it off, its a corrupted law. Its just totally against people's rights. I don't think its right to force health insurance on someone even if they don't afford it, they act like its supposed to be like Car Insurance. A lot of people can't afford that. People I know are hoping that enough people don't put in for it so it can just float on downstream and implode. If I wan't a new health plan, it won't be Obama Care. I give Obama Care the finger. No way. Quote
LordSpleach Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Well, it does violate the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution. "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Health Insurance was never a Federal-level issue. Quote
Guest snow Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I wish Obama doesn't do half of the things he does do. Obama care being one of them. Seems he just keeps on making things worse. Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Having access to a doctor and medical services is a human right. We all have the right to be healthy. Before, if you didn't have enough money, you could trade and barter with a doctor in order to receive services. You could mow his lawn, give him potatoes for a year.... something! Then there was a problem with wait times I believe, so a few decades ago the government brought the insurance companies on board to try and stream line the system, so now the only way to pay is through them. So many people are now being turned down from health coverage, and insurance companies are making billions in profits despite not treating everyone. First lady Hilary Clinton tried ages ago to 'fix' health care, but too many congress men received contributions and her efforts were dropped. Obama tries to solve the problem, and the only way to get it passed is to compromise and muddle up the new system just so he can get the opposition to pass it. Health care in america is broken, so many people are going without service while the insurance companies make billions. And what's worse, these companies are getting contracts in Canada, nagging our politicians to stream line -our- system to match the americans. It's a fight. Quote
