The Guyver joins Marvel's Avengers

I would probably laugh, I mean laugh to the brink of tears if a picture of the Guyver was seen with the Avengers on the cover of a comic book along with Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Hawk eye, Black Widow, Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Wolverine. I would just sit there and giggle at it. And people would forget Yoshiki ever existed as a single artist, people would think he was one of Stan Lee's artists that some how came up with Sho Fukamachi because Stan Lee has invented so many Marvel characters, not all of them but the majority. I mean, he would fit in. Literally. I would love to see that. I'd laugh, but I love the idea. The Avengers defeat kronos! And if you think about it, The Guyver armor looks like something out of Marvel. Sho could be related to the dude that was the Silver Samurai!

They already made a guyver imitation in western comics. Not sure about Marvel, but DC's Zuggernaut ( http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Zuggernaut_(New_Earth) ) is somewhat annoying.

Frankly, Marvel and DC would ruin it. They'd throw in a writer, and would weaken or overpower him compared to other characters. Heck, we had some great designs and writing thrown into trash over the years because one character changed hands, and thus was ruined.

Yeah. that seems to happen a lot. You're right, they'd jack it up. Give Guyver a make over because he wouldn't look Marvel or DC material enough for them or the fans and they'd wan't him to look the part of their trade mark, I suppose and give or take away. I wasn't thinking of that. But it would still be funny to see him in a photo with the Avengers. I've never heard of the zuggernaut btw. It looks funny.

I dread it. The multiverse thing has too many cheap gimmicks instead of -stories-. I'd rather they left Guyver alone. Sure, Guyver would get fame from appearing in Marvel, but quality over quantity is what I say.

That's something we can agree one. The best compromise, is fan art and fan comics. Like those nifty Alien VS Guyver artworks. I may not be a big Aliens fan, but it looks like an epic battle =)

I know for certain Thor could beat a Zoalord easily because he's built stronger than a Zoalord. He can produce more power with out fatigue than a Guyver Gigantic because I noticed if a Gigantic uses too much energy it withdraws into Guyver Space, thats what I call it when the unit disappears. like using the giga smasher and using too much energy,it reverts to its natural form from the regular base Guyver and disappears into Guyver Space. Thor uses an attack similar to the giga smasher, its called a god blast, he's used it on many villains before including the Sentry who had mental issues.Since he is a son of Odin, if he gets wounded. He can summon a volley of thunderbolts to his hammer Mjolnir and be healed. Also Lighting seems to restore his powers and energy.I also think Iron Man would be of good help to Sho in helping beat down Kronos a few since he's fought off some pretty hard core enemies.Captain America, maybe. Hawkeye,no. Wolverine, sure, he could hold his own. Spider-Man, No, he could barely hold his own against the Lizard. The Hulk, for sure could beat down almost all and any Zoalords. Yeah, Stand aside Sho... the Hulk amd Thor can take it from here. Thats all we need.

The problem with Marvel in some respects is that sometimes the fanboys get in, and just start powering characters for the sake of 'bragging rights', as if that is what is important in a story. They have a tendency to forget about actual character interaction, character and story development. It's really quite immature, and annoying. The thing that I like about Guyver, is that there can be a new improved version of Enzyme, but then Sho has to struggle with the fact that he just killed his own father in order to defeat him. And it's not like Marvel, in Guyver, death has real consequences that people must struggle to deal with. None of this 'resurrection' clones in the next story arc crap. I'm thankful Gwen Stacy is still dead, and hate that Aunt May has had more funerals than the Undertaker. It's pathetic. It's stunted growth and development from a company that wants to maintain the status quo, so the only development is increasing a characters 'pokemon card' stat... until things get to ridiculous that they have to find some excuse to bring a characters godlike powers back to what they were before.

Rant over

Wait a minute. I'm not a spider man fan at all. But I thought Aunt May never died in whatever story. I've read novels and she was always alive. No one ever told me she croaked up until you said that, lol ^^;. I like your post, so I'm going to click....LIKE! :bringit:

Everyone dies in comics, and eventually come back. Bucky was dead since a comic in 1948, and there used to be a saying "That only Bucky and Uncle Ben remain dead" and frankly, that's been overturned. Retcon's mess up our minds and our stories. But sometimes they do work.

Oh yeah, Guyver should hand out with Rom the Space Knight and Tekkaman. XD

Same in Dragonball Z, no one stays dead. It gets annoying Yamcha and some of the characters never stay dead. Kind of with Marvel, people never stay in the grave for too long. DC is really bad about that. I was talking to my brother about it and he says the Joker has been killed 13 times and is always coming back to fight Batman. He says its retarded and that they should just stick to the original story and quit changing things around all of the time. He says the same thing about Marvel.
