September 23, 201411 yr i've seen those black versions getting around and have always thought they were fake or maybe a reissue(why?, its supposedly a limited version) as the majority i've seen and the couple i have are cast in blue, so all thats required is acouple of wash's and brush in the detail. same goes with most of the max factory custom craft kits. the only official black or grey coloured kits i've seen are the real early ones from bandai and the little 4inch kits from max factory. but, in saying all this, if you look at the box's of the prepainted kits, you'll notice they say 'full color model'. where as with the limited ed. kits,(including G1 open smasher) not stated.
