Possible Sixth Power Rangers Team

While I was riding the bus to the mall to meet up with a friend this morning, I was thinking about a sketch from the show "Robot Chicken" involving a bus. I then thought of various disasters that could happen in a city and started to picture certain people becoming Power Rangers. Thing is, all I could decide on were the colors and the first name of one of the Rangers. The Ranger colors are Red, Blue, Green, Yellow & Pink. I can't figure out their motifs or the villains. Is this a good start???

Hmm....well, deciding on some of the event that lead to the Rangers becoming...well, rangers, is a somewhat good start.

The best thing when creating a Ranger team is to do what you do when making a Kamen Rider. Figure out what the basic design will be by either using the enemy, environment, fighting style or ancestory as a basis.

When you do this you can also get a somewhat good idea of what the enemy could be called and what they might look like. A lot of Ranger kaijin look like something that that Ranger team would actually face in real life.

The kaijin are based in theme in just about the same way that the Rangers are in their suit design. Once you got the kaijin and Ranger design down you can also figure out a somewhat descent idea of the threat the enemy posses and what they plan to do.

Creating the Mecha though.......that's a much different story. Yes, they are based on what the story sorta revolves around in creative basis but their way of coming together and their standard form as seperate entities are done in a somewhat other similar process in how they are piloted, used and also creating the auxilary mecha are done similarly.

2. Element Squad - Elements - Near Death Experiences With The Elements They'll Command.
   
3. Zodiac Force - Zodiac - Auras Being The Same As The Warriors Who Sealed Demons Away.
   
4. Knight Force - Mythological Creatures/Knights - Descendants Of The Knights Who Sealed Villains Away
   
5. Science Force - Scientific Fields - Interns At Big Science Company

Was thinking the villains could be Machines maybe.

I figured out the first names of other four remaining Rangers. Still no clue on a team motif or name. "Cyber" comes to mind though. Here are the Rangers' names & who they're named after.

Red = Austin = My sister's boyfriend

Blue = Omar = A co-worker

Green = Macio = Buddy of mine from work

Yellow = Gwen = Pharmacist at work

Pink = Bethany = Good friend & fellow Duelist

What do you guys think of the choice of first names for the Rangers???

The last names are as follows: Cooley, Cruz, Armstrong, Shook, and Sawaki.

I was thinking about a few things for this team. The zords could be mechanical beasts that start off small and are like pets like the Origami from Shinkenger. Part of the Rangers' arsenal could consist of USB Memory Sticks like on Kamen Rider Double. And the motif could be high tech ninjas or something like that.

Hmm.....a combo of mini-mech and tech USB powered gadgets combining for different effects such as weapons and gattai does sound interesting and not something that I can remember being done yet in Super Sentai or Power Rangers yet to date.

May I make one small suggestion. I can read most of the text you place in color but could yuou probably choose a slightly darker shade of yellow cuz I have to highlight yellow text just to read it cuz if I don' it hurts the eyes. Just asking if its possible.

Name-wise....when you named Yellow Gwen, I thought you go it from Ben 10's Gwen Tennyson.

I've been using Gold for Yellow. Thought that was dark enough.

Gwen comes from one of the head people in the pharmacy of the grocery store I work at. What do you think of the last names???

Trying to think up animals. Was thinking about Macio's zord could be a gorilla. Not gonna use a lion because it's been used way too much in Power Rangers & Super Sentai. It's also a zord in my second team.

Leaning towards an Eagle for Omar's zord. Trying to think of what animal is best associated with the Military.

Interesting Factoid: Red is gonna be a former Marine.

Omar's zord is gonna be a Lobster. No clue what Gwen's should be.

Well, what is Gwen profession in the series and/or what was a former profession or what is she really good at?

Like Omar, ex-marine, get's the Lobster as many marines deal with sea battles and over-sea airraids so a Lobster or even an Albetrose is good.

Sorry, mixed them up. So, what does Gwen do?

The person she's named after is a pharmacist at the grocery store where I work.

I mean, what does she do in the story? Is Gwen, fanfic character, a pharmacist as well or does she do something different than the person that she gets her name from.

Not sure. I am thinking that Bethany be maybe a daughter, granddaughter or niece to the mentor. The Rangers will definitely be spending time in a public dojo as both a hangout and base of operations. Still no clue on the threat they'll face that'll cause some of the disasters.

The mentor will be Bethany's dad. Gwen's occupation before becoming a Ranger will be a Florist like Danny of Wild Force. No clue what Macio's occupation will be.

Macio will be working at a zoo before becoming a Ranger. I still have no clue as to what Gwen's zord should be.

Well, since she works with flowers......something along the lines of Bee, Wasp, Butterfly and Bird (Humming Bird) could be useful. Never had zords for based on those sorts....I think.

I'm kinda afraid of bees. My first week at my job, I got stung and had a delayed allergic reaction to the sting. Not violently. Hand partially inflated like a balloon. I back away every time I see one as a result.

This zord will be a leg to the Megazord.

Now the rest of the arsenal, the villains, most of the main stuff about the Rangers, and a team name are needed.

The team sidearm will be a Ninjato, which is a short sword. A Kunai will be a Power Weapon. Just don't know who will get it. Not sure what the other Power Weapons will be. The Power Weapons will combine.

Kunai won't be a weapon. Bethany is gonna have a pair of Kamas as a Power Weapon. Macio will have an archery weapon. Can't decide on a regular bow or a crossbow. Still thinking about the other three weapons. Austin will have a sword. Not sure what kind.
