Thanks, Ryuki. I'm pretty proud of it, myself. All of the colors might turn out a bit different - maybe a few of the shapes, too, judging by Caerleon's crystal - but I think it's a fairly good representation of them.

What's an alpha channel?

in image editing and stuff... alpha refers to transparency.

alpha channel is a 'black and white' channel that is included with red green and blue, that tells the image which parts are transparent. as it is actually in various shades of grey, the transparency has varying degrees.
