McAvoy Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Now that I got your attention... I have been doing some research on the capabilities of the Guyver Zoalord based on the fanfic. Needless to say, the Guyver Zoalord is not a true 200x character. Example would be that the Female Warrior Guyver was able to handle multi megaton energy with her gravity shield and Zeugma's ultimate attack which is easily far, far more powerful. 200x shield would not even be close to one megaton. Any examples? Quote
*zeo Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Perhaps a bad example to draw conclusions from, the Gravity Shield is an Ultimate Class Weapon due to its ability to deal with energy levels far greater than the host unit is capable of otherwise generating or using. For Guyvers the Mega Smashers are much better for scaling for their actual power level, though Zoalords are designed to be extremely powerful for the time period their energy reserves can sustain. . . Zoalord power reserves seem to be primarily contained by the Zoa-Crystal, which also lets them survive serious injuries as long as the Crystal's energy reserves are not exhausted. For how long their power will last is dependent on how that power is used. Carleon for example has a very powerful attack in which he puts himself in a pocket dimension (called the Imaginary Dimension) and projects three versions of himself, each with the same power. In this state he is virtually untouchable and can attack with impunity but the energy drain is such that he can only maintain it for up to 10 minutes While both Imakarum and Guyot only really exhausted themselves after using up all their primary gravity points (orbs on their Zoalord form body). It should also be noted that the Guyver Zoalord overloaded the WG Gravity Shield system, nearly destroying WG and forcing his first transformation to the power down state for the time period it took for his CM to repair itself. So the Guyver Zoalord was capable of attacks greater than the multi-megatons that the Gravity Shield is rated for. . . Quote
McAvoy Posted May 22, 2009 Author Posted May 22, 2009 I was basing the attack as a limit for the Guyver Zoalord's shields. But the only possibility of that attack being as powerful as it was but still being inferior to Zeugma's attack was that the Guyver Zoalord was still tired from his previous battles. Anyway I figured some of his attacks such as hand beams and his head beam attacks are fairly certain. We know that his hand beams are less than one kiloton each or together. There might be a possibility that they were not at full power when he used them on Warrior Guyver since he might have thought he was just like the others he killed. I also figured his regeneration is around 200 to 400x based on his regeneration he was told to have when he was healing from Warrior Guyver's gravity shield attack on him. Quote
*zeo Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Zeugma is also a bad example to draw conclusions from, being essentially based on Archanphel means she's a Master Zoalord and like Archanphel much more powerful than the typical Zoalord. Remember Archanphel has been stated in the Manga that even in his present weakened condition that he is still capable of defeating all of the other Zoalords combined, though this may have in some part to due with his ability to force his will upon them (at least enough to slow them down or hesitate). So there should be a clear distinction between what a normal Zoalord is capable of and what a Master Zoalord is capable of. So to clarify the Guyver Zoalord in Time War was not a Master Zoalord, so should only be compared to standard Zoalord's like Purg'stall (powerful but barely equivalent to Guyot, who was our only well documented model of a Zoalord at the time). Also, as inferred on this board, neither the Guyver Zoalord nor the Unit he used was at full capacity by design. So we have a difference in power equivalent to several orders of magnitude when compared to what Archanphel would have been capable of (though at the time we didn't yet realize just how powerful Archanphel was). Even Imakarum's Black Hole attack pales in comparison to the raw power needed to destroy the Mars size meteor that Archanphel destroyed and Archanphel isn't even that powerful anymore but even diminished he still (when he's awake that is) is far more powerful than even Imakarum. Your conclusions on the hand beam and head beam however appear spot on and I would agree that he did not at first use his full power against WG (aside from that scene in which he buried him alive under a mountain's worth of rock). Rate of regeneration also appears consistant, considering we factored the Guyver's ability boosted by the Zoalord's power and the unit Bio-Boost combined. Quote
McAvoy Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 Oh I see what you are saying. No, I am not comparing Zoalord Reeve to Master Zoalord Zeugma. I am analyzing the Guyver Zoalord's power from the stories. For example we know that the Gravity Shield ultimately broke the Guyver Zoalord's defenses, but he also took a full or near full powered attack from Zeugma without much effort. Warrior Guyver opened both chest plates and fired a full Mega-Smasher into the Guyver Zoalords back. The unexpected and powerful attack sent the Guyver Zoalord flying forward as Warrior Guyver continued to fire his Mega-Smashers for their full ten second limit, sending the Guyver Zoalord sprawling several hundred feet away, but even as Warrior Guyver closed his chest plates the Guyver Zoalord had already gotten up and turned to face his surprise attacker. It seems that unshielded that he can take a full powered double mega smash from Warrior Guyver which is 1 kiloton. I think this is more on the pure power of the Guyver Zoalord acts like a body shield. But it does show that the Guyver Zoalord's hyper sensors and zoalord senses do not give him near god-like awareness, so he can still be suprised fairly easily. Meanwhile the Guyver Zoalord had grown impatient for a response from his silent attacker and fired a hand beam blast at Warrior Guyver who in turned immediately raised his blast shield and Pressure Cannon shield, even though the Guyver Zoalords blast exceeded the power of a normal Guyvers Mega-Smasher that the combination shield proved strong enough to withstand its devastating force. His hand beams are less than the Warrior Guyver can withstand. Zoalord hand beams are much harder to estimate, but I would guess that they fall in between a pressure cannon and the head laser range. The Guyver Zoalord then rose into the air as his right hand and Zoacrystal began to glow with building energy. Warrior Guyver prepared himself to dodge whatever the Guyver Zoalord was planning to through at him but what happened next totally surprised him as the Guyver Zoalord, now several hundred feet up, raised his right hand and pointed it at a nearby mountain. A vortex of sparkling dark energy enveloped the mountain and immediately began to rip it apart. -GUYVER ZOALORD(Turning to look down upon the startled Warrior Guyver) The Guyver Zoalord then closed his right hand into a fist and the mountain crumbled into a million boulder size pieces. He then swung his arm toward Warrior Guyvers position and millions of tons of rock and Earth began to rain down upon on the unprepared Warrior Guyver. Either he has extremely, extremely powerful psionic powers or he's using a combination of various powers to accomplish this. Millions of tons of rock is much, much greater than anything we have seen anyone do in WG fanfic. Extending his powerful sensors, he quickly realized that the Creators had not yet left the planet. His hyper sensors seem to allow him to at least sense that the Creators have not left the planet so we are easily talking of thousands of miles in range. He might not be able to for example detect every sinlge life form within that range though. Warrior Guyver finally got close enough to the surface to shove a final sixty ton stone slab out of his way and pulled himself free of the rubble. Quickly sensing the direction that the Guyver Zoalord had gone, Warrior Guyver quickly leaped into the air and followed. A thousand miles away, The Guyver Zoalords was puzzled. Where he had sensed the Creators was nothing but an empty mountain range. Somehow the Creators had fooled his senses. Guyver Zoalord traveled a thousand miles probably within minutes. Assuming three minutes, that will give us a speed of 20,000 MPH. Probably not his fastest, he is the Guyver Zoalord after all, no need to rush anything. Activating his Zoacrystal/head beam laser, the Guyver Zoalord sent a blinding white beam of energy at the still approaching Warrior Guyver, who though still miles away could not dodge the beam in time as it lanced through the right side of his chest, easily penetrating both his body energy shield and armor and leaving a thunderous shockwave in its wake as the super heated air rushed to fill the void created by the powerful energy beam passing. Naturally, a highly focused beam of equal power to a much wider beam will be much easier to punch through defenses. We know that the Warrior Guyver can withsand mega smasher level attacks with just his body shield. This shows that the Guyver Zoalord's zoacrystal head beam is much greater than a mere 200x. The point is that the Guyver Zoalord is no mere 200x Guyver or 100x Zoalord. But more like a 100,000x Guyver with 200x strength. The gravity point crystal looking orbs on his chest probably act much like a Gigantic Guyver's gravity control orbs, boosting their power. He can probably create more weapons just because he has that much more power to play with. I think he might have figured out how to create a similar attack as Alkanphel or Zeugma. Quote
*zeo Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I would agree with everything except the 100,000x comparison (in that it's actually normal)... again Purg'stall is an excellent example, he was capable of directing lightning attacks of immense power. He even managed to destroy all of the Gigantic's Gravity/Power Amp crystals. But physically he was very weak, the rogue Zoalords even referred to him in contempt because of physical weakness. The point is virtually every extremely powerful character in the Guyver Universe has a lopsided power level, differentiating between what they are physically capable of and what their ultimate attack may allow them to do. The Guyver itself is at best only 100x a peak human in strength, yet can produce a Mega Smasher with the directed power of a small atomic bomb. Even the Gigantic is lopsided in this power scheme, with 100x Smashers, 20x Power, and 5x Main Head Beam with 1x for each adjacent orb (for those wondering those are the actual figures, not to be confused with the original WG figures which were incorrect but that was before we had accurate translations). While other Zoalords like Guyot and Imakarum can direct enough energy to create a virtual black hole that can become a real one if left on too long. The power requirements for that are even greater than the Giga Smashers. Exceed for example needed a few minutes to charge up and fire off his Black Hole attack. They key with the Guyver Zoalord then is not that the unit just amplifies the Zoalord's powers but it helps alleviate the one weakness all Zoalords have. . . and that weakness is the limit of energy reserves that their Zoa-Crystals can provide them, while a Guyver Unit continuously siphons energy from the Boost Dimensions allowing the Zoalord to use full power far longer than he would have been able to otherwise. Quote
McAvoy Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 The 100,000x level is in relation to his powers, not his overall power levels. Like you said the Giga Smashers are 100x, not his overall power level. A Gigantic Guyver is not 100x, only his Giga Smashers. Zeugma for example used her full power on the Guyver Zoalord, who fully withstood the attack. This is a multi-teraton level attack. Granted she isn't as powerful as Alkanphel, but such an attack would still far exceed a normal 200x Guyver zoalord, if we assume 200 x 100 calculation. In fact the new power level estimates for the Gigantic would favor such lopsided estimates for a Guyver Zoalord. As far as Zoalord's attacks are concerned, it is possible that those attacks are not a direct relation to their own power level. For example the quasi-black hole is created and controlled with a matrix that can be destroyed. That matrix that holds the black hole together with the gravity points on Imakarum and Guyot may not take that much energy to create. Quote
*zeo Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Nope, it is fairly consistently shown that Zoalords are capable of extremely powerful attacks far beyond their normal power levels. And the Black Hole attack (which is capable of destroying a whole planet) takes its power directly from the Gravity Points which in turn are how both Guyot and Imakarum manifest their power. Using them up exhausts their energy reserves! While we learnt from Yentsui that as long as the Zoa-crystal still has some energy it can help keep a Zoalord alive even if sliced in half. Purg'stall though exhausted most of his power against the Gigantic and did not survive his wounds. Guyot on the other hand still had some gravity points on his knuckles when he lost his Zoa-crystal while Caerleon turned into a barely alive shriveled husk when his crystal was removed. So zoalords are a manifestation of their power but only as long as they have energy reserves to support it. A GZ though continuously gets power from the Boost Dimension, so in addition to the Guyver enhancement a Guyver Zoalord also has far more energy reserves to work with. Meaning a GZ can use power attacks that a normal Zoalord would save as a last resort. And a Zoalord's Barrier shields are very powerful to begin with, Imakarum withstood quite a few Pressure Cannons from GG3 for example and we know from the Washington, DC scene that even one is capable of taking out a skyscraper. So combine that with the Guyver's enhancement would mean an incredibly powerful defensive capability, not to mention he had gravity powers that much like a Guyver using a Pressure Cannon can be used to create an incredibly powerful defensive field. So having him survive a full powered hit from Zeugma shouldn't be all that surprising. For example a normal Zoalord like Guyot is only a few times more powerful than a Guyver physically, yet he can survive a single Mega Smasher (which is thousands of times more energy than a Guyver's normal power level) despite the fact he physically isn't that hard to damage as both G3 and Murikami showed when they hit him without his barrier shield. . . So there is quite a divide between a Zoalord's physical/normal power and what their energy powers can grant them. Quote
McAvoy Posted October 3, 2009 Author Posted October 3, 2009 Well keep in mind that Alkanphel was able to nearly completely shatter a Mars size planetoid with his full power. Zeugma is obviously less than this, but she should be able to destroy let's say a Moon-sized object. That is still hundreds of teratons of energy or trillions times morer powerful than a 200x would allow him. But then again, he is a combination Guyver and Zoalord. Quote
