W'Kar Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Here's a good question to pose. What do you find best about stories? Fiction or otherwise. Is it interweaving and complex plots, simplistic but emotionally reeling plots. Is it the characters? Is it the guyvers themselves and their 'Cool Magical Powers'? Is it the triumph of good over evil, or evil over good. Tell me, what gets you gripped? Quote
largo Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Well Allen I know it's a little demanding on the auther which could be why my collection of actuall books is quite small vs. comics could be that it's all of those things that make a truly great book so I hope that answers your question. Quote
Thunder Demon1472669266 Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Mmm, what do I like best about stories? They're engaging, they have this surreal and realistic quality about them. By no means does this include or exclude "Cool Magical Powers" as you so well put it. The characters develop over time, and not just stay the same mental age, or physical age for that matter. I also enjoy stories that have both action and down time. That's pretty much it though. Sometimes it's fun seeing the authors insert themselves into fiction if the characters aren't quite on the right path given their mentality. Also, no complete stereotypes, that is partials like a certain ethnic person doing some stereotypical things, and then doing other things that are partially or completely opposite of the stereotype. Some crazy is expected. Quote
