largo Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 I was watching Guyver Out of Control and I noticed how boxy the guyver looked, whats up with that? He looks like the Certex armor from GWOTG. But I gotta admit I liked the Chronos jumpsuits better in Out of Control blue and red it's got a patriotic kind of theme, still would of been better if it were red and white then I could show these americans my true colors as the Canadian I really am. Edit- Just as I was submitting this post I got an idea what if the Chronos jumpsuits where red with white and had a white maple leaf right in the middle for yah know branch purpouses. I could totally see that. Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 You know still to this day I have not seen Guyver: Out of Control. I 've been looking for it on ebay and I can't find it anywhere. I think that is the only iece of visual entertainment guyver-wise that I am missing right now. Sucks much. Though I think I know hte basic plot of hte movie I would still like to get a hold of a copy of it. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 That was the first Guyver anime I was able to get my hands on. I couldn't stand it. I call it "Guyver Porn". It's complete with a tentacle sex monster. Quote
Lost Soul Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 That was the first Guyver anime I was able to get my hands on.I couldn't stand it. I call it "Guyver Porn". It's complete with a tentacle sex monster. So true, the first time I saw it I thought like "What´s the big idea Valcuria being raped by the unit?" Shouldn´t it be painfull, rather than pleasurefull or is Val into sm? Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 Dammit. Now I know I'm missing out. My first peek at the guyver was the first american movie. Not exactly a great way to start. Jeez, I have got to find a copy now. Quote
largo Posted January 25, 2007 Author Posted January 25, 2007 Yah I know but seriously though isn't the guyver way to boxie looking. As for the whole Valcuria thing could it be that the creators were paying homage to maybe... La Blue Girl? I don't know just a thought. Twilight same thing for me I was like 8 or 9 when I saw the second movie on Sci-Fi channel. From then on I was hooked, about three years later I discovered the orginial guyver anime and fell in love, a few years after that I discovered warrior guyver site at it's genesis. Though at the time it didn't have a fourm all it had was the what do you call it... uhmm it's yah know like oh I remember guest book thats what it was. So hey what can I saw. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I saw the first two movies on sci fi channel when I was a kid as well. I didn't really get into Guyver until later on. I was running around in yahoo chat rooms acting like a person who was killing spawns "a spawn hunter" and ran into a group of people with the name Guyver in their names. I thought to myself "I know what those are" and put them on follow. I got involved with Guyver RP before I even comprehended what a zoanoid was. The RP spawned my obsession. People in the RP used this site as reference from time to time for various characters and what have you. They lead me here where I delved into the story and absorbed everything I could. Oh yeah, Star's Guyver site was the bomb back then too. His synopsis was one of the first things to truly introduce me to everything Guyver. Then I got a hold of the Warrior Guyver site. It wasn't until nearly 3 years later that I saw the "Out of Control" subsequently followed by me viewing 12 episodes of the anime. To tell you the truth I never really cared for the anime's. They're far too short. Guyver Manga and Warrior Guyver Fan Fiction is where its at IMHO. Quote
largo Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 But you can't discredit the new series Will Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Oh. I freakin love the new Anime! It owns. That part where Alk takes out the Mountain near the end, Classic. Seeing Guyver Gigantic fully animated almost made me... Well it's a PG forum so we won't get too deeply into it. Quote
largo Posted January 26, 2007 Author Posted January 26, 2007 Yah dude there are some things I would like to say as well but you're right this a pg board. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Yah dude there are some things I would like to say as well but you're right this a pg board. Lol, you and me both. It's funny because it's not a PG fan fiction, yet the forum is PG. It boggles the mind. Quote
