TheGuyversWill Posted December 26, 2006 Posted December 26, 2006 I posted this over on the Rob Liefeld forums in their "Comic Book Cribs" thread. Figured since it has so much Guyver I should post it here too. The comic book rack has a section dedicated to Guyver comics, though its not shown here(I have every comic published by Viz, in english, on it). Ok, so its not much... But here is my little corner. My computer, and my comic stand. still need to frame a few pictures and put them up, but otherwise this is it! I can only hope that one day soon we move into a house where I can have an entire room dedicated to the cause! Some close ups of the Guyvers/Zoanoids. Guyver 2, Gigantic Guyver, Neo Zektole Aptom, Guyver 3, Guyver 1 Note: Guyver 1 and Guyver 2 still need to be re-posed. Last time I was dusting them they lost that certain flare to their stance. I like to re-pose all the characters every once in a while just to change it up, but yeah. They got a little out of wack and I still havent got around to fixing them. Quote
largo Posted December 27, 2006 Posted December 27, 2006 *Bows down* Oh all hail the guyver shrine. Seriously sweet setup dude, kind of makes my computer area look kind of lame by comparision. Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Y ouand me both Largo. I wish I had that kinda set up and a comic rack. That's pretty tight man. Quote
largo Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Don't collect american comics or the single chapter issues that manga comes in so I just have a really big shelf full of manga. XP Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 I collect everything and anything I can get my hands on Guyver, though I do collect American comics too mind you. I have the collected "Books" of the manga as well. Though I haven’t started on the new publication of the books as of yet (How sad!) but I will get those once I finish off series 1 and 2 of these models! Anyways, Thanks for all the kind comments! Here is the Guyver portion of the comic rack, enjoy! I like to have a little Guyver around me at all points. So at those times when the misses wants to snuggle up on the couch and watch a movie... A close up, ignore the dust, its gone now! (taking pictures of dust inspires one to clean said dust!) And of course you have to have a few little Guyvers in the hallway, if only in a display case! I still need to deck out the kitchen. Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Dude you're even more tricked out than I thought you were. Is that a partial bust of the primitive guyver as seen in Guyver: Dark Hero? I think I might have to invest in some of those trading figures myself. They aren't nearly as costly as the figures themselves. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 (edited) Yeah you could say that. Steve calls it the "Bio-Warrior" though. It's actually a full head mask. The part you can't see is that it comes with a tag(hiding under the neck) that says bio-morphs and is hand signed by Steve Wang himself. Awesome. You can ebay most of those trading figures for around 10 bucks with shipping. The series one on the Guyvers has started to sky rocket since they are done with it and starting to move onto series two. I saw a Guyver 3 going for as much as 175 bucks on ebay without shipping. scary. Edited December 28, 2006 by Guest Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Yeah Guyver 2 and 3 are the most pricey of the figures now. Gigantic comes in close to them. I got Murakami for like 89 or something and the new Head Image Guyver 1 for I think around 30 something. My Gigantis is on the way and I think Guyot is going to be the next in my assortment, but Aptom has to come at some time, cause his forth form was so bad ass. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 28, 2006 Author Posted December 28, 2006 Gigantic Dark is the most expensive right now. I saw Murakami go for 187 bucks plus shipping like three days ago. The shipping was 30 bucks. I need Murakami bad man. I should have snagged him up ages ago! ZX-Tole is still cheap enough, so is Guyot. I got the Guyver/head one for my nephew. Its what inspired me to take mine out of the box(after playing around with the one I got him!). Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Yeah, Murakami was a steal I think. I saw a Purgstall figure not too long ago. I really think I want to gt him if I ever get the chance. Man, it's sick it must be done. Guyver is worth it. I wonder why they never came out with like a game or something. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Purgstall is part of the second series! He's the first I've seen released thus far. It makes me drool, but I don't like the capes they went with. They're cloth! Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Jeez . . . nice plastic does so much better. It may not be dramatic when you put a fan to it but it still looks better, Gyrout and Guyver 2 are now on there way and next month maybe Purgstall. I see they have some of the two packs up now too. I think they had Enzyme and Malmot, Ramomith and Zencrebe, and a couple of others too. Friggin Guyver 3 is stil weighing in at atleast 109 bucks. It kills me seeing that every time. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Personally I want all of the ones from series 1... But I would settle with just Dark Gigantic and Murakami to finish it off. If I pick up series two zoalords, and try to get a butt load of them, I'll strip their capes and just try to make them cool as is Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Yeah, I can't wait for all the releases. Right now I think I saw a Murakami for 89, but that's with shipping, I think. But Purgstall maybe hte next one, either him or Aptom. I'd go for the two pack sets, but 99.95 plus shipping would be a killer right now. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 I can't see it! that was a link not a picture! try posting the jpeg part of it! (jpg!) Quote
proto-guybar1 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 how can you post a pic here? I dont know [/img] Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 Well you have to upload it to an offsite host first. The best way to do this is through some free site like http://www.photobucket.com If you have access to another web server, where you can upload pictures, you can do that too. Once thats done just post the whole img] "url" [/img and you're off. But you know, with the other brackets! Quote
proto-guybar1 Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Ok heres the link to my collection: http://s88.photobucket.com/albums/k176/ ... ollection/ Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 That's a pretty nifty collection you got there. I like the display case.Very nice touch. If I may ask, where did you guys get that guyver head mold? Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 1, 2007 Author Posted January 1, 2007 Holy mother of! That's impressive man. Though Darth Vader sullies your Guyver collection and it's not right! I even had to show this to my fiancé, telling her how one day I would amass a collection more impressive than this. I have a few other pieces. DVD's, sound tracks, even stuff from the DJ that calls himself Guyver. Though I don't have these things on Display because well, we have a kind of small apartment and my fiancé already gets onto me about how much Guyver stuff I have poking around. I've been trying to get one of those manikin heads for my "Bio-Warrior" mask too. Almost had the hook up at a costume shop but they shut me down. Bastiches! Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I'm personally trying to get my hands on some wall scrolls and posters. Wouldn't mind getting the soundtrack and maybe an art book as well. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 If you find a place to get huge posters let me know! I'd even settle for the movie posters! Frame 'em and hang 'em on the wall! Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Will do man. Hopefully I'll can find one or two. Quote
proto-guybar1 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 guyverswill thanks for the compliment! Actually darth vader has been removed from the guyver area. Also i had to buy a new display case to store the guyver items. Thats only 70% of the guyver stuff i have. When i have more time i will update with some new pics. Quote
