Question on the Matrix?

Featured Replies

Okay here is my question. Can the Matrix in Dreadnoughts control medal produce multiple Matrix Bombs in a short period of time like every five minutes, or does it draw too heavily on dreadnought and would thus have to wait a longer period of time to use it again. I only ask as when we last left 7DOH a creator armada was heading towards earth and this weapon would be quite useful in attacking the fleet.

Well as I remembered the Matrix Bomb is executed from a shielded state. And in that state Dreadnought can weather a 10 gigaton explosion. Though you are right McAvoy this weapon does take time to charge I think the time was a minute or two. Anyway I don't think the creators can produce that kind of destuction on a single small target like Dreadnough with their ships, and if they can I think Dready will charge and release his weapon faster than the creators. But I am not entirely sure that the Creators are their to fight earth, I think it is more likely they are there to protect their projects from the Grakkens as they have been very active in Sol.

On a side note just think if Jason had used this or the Tsunami wave against W'Kar in their fight how differently things would have turned out.

Actually the Matrix Bomb is a Zero Point Energy weapon, so most of its power comes from space itself.

The reason it takes time is mainly because of the shield itself takes time to set up.

But it does have a down side since it is an omni-directional blast. So he can't use it near Earth or risk causing global damage.

As for the Tsunami Wave, that would only work if Jason wanted to kill Greg since that too has a down side since the energy strain is enough to cause him to revert to his pre-matrix WG state and if he missed for any reason that would have meant he would surely have lost to W'Kar.

Yeah there is that downside to the T Wave, but that doesn't apply to the Matrix Bomb. Though like you said this is all assuming he wanted to kill Greg. Though on the other hand when you are fighting W'Kar it isn't always about wanting to kill him. Sometimes given his quirks going after the kill fighting him can become a necessity.

Anyway Yeah I knew about the shild being the part that took the longest to charge, and I kinda meant to make that a lot clearer than I did.

Also I was aiming for dready being in the middle of the creator fleet when he detonated the bomb and if I am correct if a ship doesn't want to be pulled into the gravity of a planet it must be a cirtain distance from the planet. Sorry to sound like I am challanging you Zeo I am more or less trying to correct my own loose thoughts.

No prob, but 100 Gigatons is a lot of energy and anywhere near Earth. Say up to the orbit of the Moon, would be too close since the effect on the atmosphere can still be significant, not to mention generating an EMP effect. Especially if he has to use multiple blasts.

The Creator ships themselves can park themselves in high Earth orbit just like the Ark. So they can get too close for Dread to use the Matrix Bomb without falling into its gravity well.

Interesting possibilities though... But I think you'll be surprised by what we plan to do

Sorry for the long hiatus.

Another wild idea came to mind does Dreanoughts quantum shield automatically cease after he uses the matrix bomb or can he keep the shield up a release continuous blasts.

Actually the shield can be maintained even after firing the Matrix Bomb since the effect is secondary to the shield itself. Just like the WG gravity shield is secondary to the blast field. One is generated by the other but power does not directly flow between them.

The shield is only needed to provide the conditions needed to generate the final effect so it remains stable before, during, and after.

The power of the Matrix Bomb comes from a zero point energy effect local to the space time along the surface area of the shield. The shield itself only needs to create the conditions needed for the effect, it doesn't directly power the Matrix Bomb so it is not strained or drained by it. Thus it is possible for Dreadnought to use repeated Matrix Bombs for as long as he can maintain the desired effect.

Essentially all he's doing is redistributing the energy of the universe for a desired effect. But there is a limit before such an act starts to destabilize space time and thus make the formation of a matrix bomb more and more difficult to obtain. This basically means he has to move around if he wants to use the Matrix Bomb a lot otherwise he'd have to wait for space time to stabilize between use.

Given what has been told to us the Matrix bomb can be created faster than Alkanphels Comet Attack. Though when we last left off the Eliminator did somthing to Alky perhaps enhancing him. However Dreadnought will still have the advantage due to the matrix. Anyway sorry to get sidetract so given what we know Dreadnought can use his ultimate attack faster than alky?
