Guest Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Does anybody know when Guyver Vol. 23 will be released? I think it is about every 5 or 6 months or so. Enlighten me, please! Thanks. Quote
Sully Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 it's 8 soemthing months after another release depending on Takaya's release schedule, as sometimes he misses a month here or there. So some thing like March/April next year most likely. Quote
Guest Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Is it pointless to hope for a faster release? Oh my goodness, I can't believe I follow this comic for as long as I have. I've gotta stop... but I can't. Damn them for not drawing these books out faster. I would be so happy if they started poping out a book in 2 months time. Maybe the authors are doing this as a part time job? Then again maybe a artist needs his time. Seems like book 23 might just end this whole 2 side story none sense. They better be becuz 4 years down the road, and its still the same night in this series. Quote
Guest Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Authors? There is only one guy responsible for the Guyver, Yoshiki Takaya - he does the art and script all himself. So no, I think its unlikely that Guyver will ever be released as a book every two months. Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Wow, this whole night started four years ago? That's crazy! Four years ago: Sho: *sigh* it looks like it's gonna be one of THOSE nights. (Four years of writing a battle later) I think time has stopped in this comic! Takaya is a great man. Quote
omegaling Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Takaya needs to wrap up these storylines. I never thought a battle could get boring after a while. I demand storyline, dammit! Sheesh, it's like the series is turning into Dragon Ball... Quote
guyverfanatic Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 I actually like the long battle myself.... Nathan, Guyver is serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace Magazine which is impossible for it to come out faster. Quote
Guest Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 I'm with Omega. These fight moves are kinda cool, but what about plot. I might as well be browsing for fan art battle poses. End the battle and give us a result already. I meen, I'm not for a different bad guy an chapter, like in the first volume, but at least an entire story happened in the first volume. Heck, the first volume alone was turned into a 3 hour anime (later volumes became an add on to it). These last four volumes would only make up maybe 20 minutes! The results of these fights had better be extremely good, and soon in coming. Quote
Guest Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I must say that I agree with most of the view points expressed so far. I mean, the battles are really long and because of the wait between volumes it becomes a drag, but at the same time, since Takaya always leaves you with a cliffhanger, it just leaves me yearning for more! I cannot get enough of the Guyver! I guess something that would satisfy us would be to collect the monthly comic to see how the story is going so far, but can you imagine all the money you will be spending and ALL the room those comics would use up? I actually tried that for about 3 ro 4 months and when you pay $5-$6 per comic and seeing how you will end up getting the simplified version when it comes out and when you realize how much room is used to store them, it's an easy decision to make...wait until the next volume comes out. By now, the battle between G3 and the Zoalords is probably over or just about to be over and the story has moved on to something else. We probably won't know that until volume 24 comes out! ANYBODY GET THE MONTHLY COMICS AND WOULD LIKE TO LET US IN ON WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FOR VOLUME 23? Quote
