Guest Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Maybe you all can help me. I've been a HUGE fan of Brian's Guyver pics for a long time. It's how I got started in the fan-fic. But I don't exactly know what programs to use to color my pictures. I've got some that are just regularly shaded, coal, waterpaints, etc. What I really want though is the type of quality that I see in a lot of those fan-fic pics. Deus and Anubis and Temporal and Necro and Gigantic and Dreadnought and Warrior (my favs! Sure know I Have enough of them) especially. Any help would be greatly appreciated. : :apt: :mura: Quote
gall_4185 Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 I use photoshop 7 to render my artwork, but it can be rather expensive Quote
Guest Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 I'd just like to point out that yes while a decent bit of art software will help you these pics are that high quality because Brian, Matt and the other artists here are experienced at drawing and using it effectively and overall taking a lot of time to do it right. I just want to say that while I'm saying this I'm not saying anything about your art ability, if it seems that way I apologise but I'm just saying you'll need to know to really use it to get pictures of that quality. Guest Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Welp, I draw good. Funny how people who usually like to write or read or both are generally complimentary artists to some extent as well. And Yes, basically I knew it would take some time to use the programs to the extent that some of you all are. But, I got time. Hopefully I'll catch on. And if you are using PSP 7 thent hat shouldn't be too bad. I have some experience with that. Thanks. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Matt and Brian are using Adobe 7 I believe.. Quote
Guest Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Ooh, even better. I just recently downloaded Adobe 7. I've heard it was better than PSP anyway. Just wanted a second opinion. I think I'm going to go scan a few things I have. I'll probably upload a few of the Guyver shots I've made and then upload them later after I've tweaked them in Adobe. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Pirating is bad. First and last warning... no such mention of anything pirated is to be made. Quote
