Guest Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Hi guys, I've just got volume 22 from Japan (hey that's what having a japanese friend is good for and I had a quick look at how the story is going on. Looks like the zoalord who fought against Gigantic Dark is still alive, as his zoacrystal is shining. Maybe he's agonizing, though... Meanwhile the plant Waferdanos, in his plant zoalord form has coverd all the battle area, having a forest grow up almost instanctly and also some plant zoanoids. We see Balkus remember when he first got to the Shira Island and how he had to fight the same plant creatures before discovering Waferdanos. Then it looks like Waferdanos was given a zoacrystal which let him become more human-like. Then there's a fight among Gigantic and Waferdanos where Gidantic starts flaming all the surroundings After that there's a part of the story where the 2 reporters talk about zoanoids and the older reporter gives the younger one a picture he took of Murakami in his zoaloard form and another one of when he was still human. The younger reporter looks at them, amazed. Finally, Sho, while being transported by the flying zoanoids, awakens and calls the guyver back. He destroys almost all the zoalords who troubled him earlier. He looks much more powerful than he normally does. And the guyver is surrounded by an energy aura. Fighting against Aptom, he manages to cut its spiky arm, getting to Aptom's back together with his friend. Aptom looks troubled and instead of getting to the guyver, destroys the pieces of his arm Guyver cut. It looks as if he's afraid the normal Aptom could spring from there. It looks like as if Aptom is controlled using something in his brain and the other pieces could probably get out of control, if cut away from the main body. The story ends with guyver looking at Aptom, and with Aptom substituting his broken arm with another one full of biomissiles. If you want to know more, just ask Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Sweet! Thanx for the info, fparri! Hopefully I'll get my volume soon enough. This energy aura, you describe, is intriguing. wonder what's up, guess we'll have to wait 'til vol. 23^^ Quote
Guest Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 It is interesting to note that other Zoalords are given the Zoa crystal to transform them into Zoalords. However, for the case of Waferdanos, he is given one to make him look more human... no wonder in book 21, he returns the zoa crystal back to Balkus before calling up the forest and plant zoanoids... I am very curious as to what Balkus will look like in Zoalord form; or what kind of weapons/skills he possessed. Will he be more powerful than the other Zoalords? It's kind of comical for the other 3 zoalords to use Aptom and a host of zoanoids to knock Sho out unconscious, only to let him wake up and call back the Guyver unit... I guess the only way to capture the guyver is to kill it (like guyver no. 2). Imprisoning it will only spell trouble as in this case... For the 2 reporters, I wonder if they are affliated to Murakami; since Murakami was once a reporter like them...? Do we have to wait another year for Book 23 to come? Quote
daveblackeye152 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Wow, I remember when book 20 and 21 came out there was a huge flood of stuff about them, maybe it's too early and not enough people have gotten the book (makes sense to me) He looks much more powerful than he normally does. And the guyver is surrounded by an energy aura. I haven't seen book 22 but artist use this Aura stuff to make it look cool or to show how strong the character is and the character doesn't seem to notice this. Does Sho look at his hands and says "Whoa! What is this energy around me?...I feel stronger.." Or something like that because if he is then I wonder how he got stronger. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 i'm pretty sure these reporter guys are affiliates of murakami, because one of the reporters seems to remember the island and the exact same scenario as when murakami explains how he knew about chronos. (sorry about the long sentence!) also he seems very emotional. and in answer to your question daveblackeye, sho just suddeny looks very very angry then just kicks zoanoid tail. he doesn't seem to acknowledge that he is super powerful but you could say the phrase "he was on fire" is very suitable. daveblackeye152 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 *spoilers* (I mention stuff about the last two books) How long has this battle been going on? Wasn't Gigantic Dark fighting 3 Zoalords since book 20?(phew big long battle) If I got this right, one is dead one is in pain and one is still alive and fighting (Waferdanos) When did this big battle start and wasn't Griszelda and Bio Freezer here also? Book 22 sounds like a great book I'm glad someone posted about it (sorry about taking so long to say "thanks" fparri) Quote
Guest Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 technically this fight started in vol 18. Agito, Shizu, and the Zeus Thunderbolt decided it would be a good idea to raid Chronos main command center, the Arizona base. Shizu and the zoanoid Thunderbolts known as Libertus wreaked havoc in the main part of the base, while Agito summoned the gigantic armor and decided to go straight for the fossilized relic (a panel showed the relics control metal, and someone apparently translated that with his current power he didn't even need his army anymore---so he's up to something). Needless to say, Balcus, Rienzi, and Waferdonas were waiting for Agito at the fossilized relic; battle ensued. Meanwhile, Aptom had already been kidnapped by the traitorous ZoaLords as hostage for Sho to take the blame of killing Purgstall(?). Sho and Biofreezer decided to finally rescue Aptom, only to have a brainwashed (somehow) Chaotic Aptom attack them. All that in four volumes, kinda reminds me of Dragon Ball Z Quote
guyverfanatic Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 The Guyver vol. 22 arrived at Kinokuniya Books. Now I have to wait til Thursday and I'll have my own copy. Edit: Bought it today. Man, it's awesome. I loved seeing GGD kick some ass and seeing Balcus see what'shisname as a plant. Plus, seeing Sho transform in mid-air was uber cool. Quote
