Guest Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 hi i 've liked guyver for quite awhile since the animation came out about 6 or 5 years ago. anyway i recently was able to get hold of the english translated books up to 7. after reading them i thought it had finished. then i find there are volume 8 up to 22. but no transelation. i know Viz will not translate it. so i was thinking the people who have the rest of the volumes can scan the volume to the pc and transelate the manga. if ur not sure wot i'm talking about. its like the initial D manga. people scan the comic to the pc and overwrite the speech bubbles with the translated english. i know this is too much to ask, but i'm sure people wud want to read them and probably get the people who are in to guyver to donate Quote
*Jess♥ Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 Please take your time to scan through the forums. You'll find this topic has been covered on MANY fronts. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 I am going to try to get some of the Chinese Guyver manga so my Taiwanese buddy can translate it. Plus, I need to get the Visual Datafiles art book to him still, so he can translate it. Quote
Guest Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 Ok, let's also be sure to visit the rules section of the board. Remember not to violate copyright at all. If you want a copy of the books, then you might have to do something... I don't know... maybe buy them. I do believe scanning an entire book and putting it online has also been mentioned before, and if you read the copyright code it is a no no (then again, technically so is an un-authorized translation) oh, and check out www.members.shaw.ca/young-guyver/index5.html for a translation of vol 8, and Guyver Raziel's site has a translation for vol 9. Let's also remember that Chiung Yi is doing OFFICIAL TRANSLATIONS of GUYVER! We just have a few more months for them to get caught up to Viz, and then we are set! Yes! No more need for topics like this Quote

But I can't help but worry that Guyver won't be popular enougth and it'll be stopped (again! ) Because I haven't seen any(if not zero!) advertisting for it. I hope they translate all the books I just can't help but worry it will be cut...short (again ) Quote

IT'S FROM SINGAPORE! Second, it's an Asian country and comics are popular, so I kinda doubt it. Quote

And why are the books in english?Oh well, I'm being a worry wort as usual. But you can count on me buying them! About scaned stuff: I don't like reading translated scans. I mean, I like reading and seeing Guyver comics that I haven't seen yet but at the same time I feel guilty because I'm not paying for such a great thing. Quote

Singapore was a former colony of the United States. (or was it British?). Anyway, it's all good. Volume 4 should come out sometime in July/August. Quote
