Sully Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 I've been a member of bioWeapons Webring for ages. Now a days I do not depend on webrings for trafic but many new Guyver sites do. Today I'd a look over the old BioWepaons ring and to my surprise David has left it alone so long that it's now run by Sexy Allen??? I visted Allan's site and he is a webring addict with over 1000 rings.... No idea who that is and W'Kar (A.KA. Allen Lucas) claims to have NOTHING to do with it what so ever. I have started a new webring called Guyver. I will be placing it on my Tripod Webpage as this is the most popular Guyver site I own to get trafic into it. I will no longer supporting any other rings and only the Guyver one. If you wish to join either post a message on this topic or contact me through the Webring page. NOTE: You will need a Webring account to be able to have access to this ring. Go to http://www.webring.com for information. You will also need to either have a front page with this ring on it or a link or ring page that is attached to your own site. Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 I have made a web ring id. How do I join? Quote
Sully Posted September 12, 2003 Author Posted September 12, 2003 If you go to my links section you will see an area called Webrings. The top one should be called Guyver and has a button for joining it. This page will be moved to http://warriorg.tripod.com later this weekend once I've picked out a logo for the ring etc. Any ideas on what ye want (will not have fan-fic stuff as a ring logo only offical)? EDIT: Read some info on Tripod. Turning the page that simply says We've moved into a redirecting site will get the site killed. So will not be doing that. Will instead move the Webring into the front page under the Guyver Fan Archive. Bear with me as this is new to me too. Also you'll need to copy the provided Java script from Webring into the page you have in your member ship. Once I test it and it works I'll actvate your account. Quote
Guest Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 I tried to join but it says my site needs a navigation bar, but at the bottom of the page where you copy the html to add the webring 'thing' it says "(DO NOT PASTE THIS CODE DIRECTLY ONTO YOUR PAGE!): " How do I add a navigation bar to my site? Quote
Sully Posted September 12, 2003 Author Posted September 12, 2003 When viewing your "My Rings" on Webrig.Com on the left hand side you'll see "View Web Sites". There you'll see "My Websites Scroll Order.".... Under that there is a link for "Get SSNB Code". Click that link. The stuff in the box as the page will tell you is what you need to copy and paste in. Sully Posted September 16, 2003 Author Posted September 16, 2003 You should get that any morement now, tested and is working. Death Guyver and Guyver Reborn, are either of you having any trouble? Still waitng for ye to but the navbar on your sites. Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 OK, Ive just added the Code for the Guyver Webring , WOO HOOO 1st one on the Webring other than WG.com Quote
Sully Posted September 16, 2003 Author Posted September 16, 2003 Weldone Z.T. Btw discovered another screwed up thing about the BioWeapons ring. It's new "owner" kicked out BioWeapons.Com and suspended it, how messed up is that!!!!! Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I wondered why Bioweapons.com wasnt on the Bioweapons webring :S What is the deal with "SexyAllen" anyway? Who is he and what did he do with the Bioweapons.com link. Quote
Guest Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I'v given up. The webring people wont let me fill out the form properly. Because I tried to join before they saved my url in the step 1 page and when I go to fill out step 2 page they say 'this site has already been submitted' or sumthing like that. Have you rejected it Sully or is it the webring peoples fault? Quote
deathguyver Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 I still can't get it to work for some reason. Quote
Sully Posted September 16, 2003 Author Posted September 16, 2003 Have either of you read the help section on WebRing.com??? Or followed the instructions. You ar in the submissions area of the ring, but until you get that code on your page you will not be allowed in. Quote
Guest Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Will you be leaving the webring open to submissions for some time? I have some work to do on the website and it's being done somewhat slowly, mostly because I'm balancing three things at the same time as working on my site: School, My Rock Band, and Work. Will the webring always be open to submissions? I hope so...Also, on the Bio-Weapons.com issue, is there any hope for that website? It hasn't been updated in eons...I'm kinda sad about that because the website was pretty cool. Sully, can you somehow get in touch with the Bio-Weapons webmaster? It would be such a surprise to see a revamped Bioweapons.com Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 You really shoulnt have any problems with it, it will just be human error on your part. I did have some problems looking for the code for the Guyver webring but there is a way on the webring site on changing the order of what webring you want to show, so i switched bioweapons with Guyver and copied the code onto the frame page of my and the ROC teams site. I doublt that the Bioweapons site will be updated any time soon. The only way I see it being updated is if Sully absorbs that Guyver site into the WarriorGuyver.com site like he did with GWOTG and Star Guyver's site. WG.com is like Microsoft or Starbucks or something (which aint a bad thing mind you) Quote
Sully Posted September 17, 2003 Author Posted September 17, 2003 BioWeapons.com is Dave's site. While it is down as I type this. It is not due to expire until the 22-Aug-2004.... So I don't think he's going to remove his site. But honestly I do not know. I've not herd from Dave in over two years. The WebRing subbmissions will be always open. Hey I'm a realist I know sites will go and sites be made a year or two from now. No point in rushing everything into a week and then watch it all slowing die as the ring stops working. This is a long term thing. And yes, WarriorGuyver.com tends to absorb sites. But Guyver 2's PlayGround, Star's and GWOTG webmasters all wanted them on my site in some way or had stoped updating them. Leigh always had a little drawing tutioral on my site when it was just Fan-Fiction. Allen's site was on Tripod (as I found out not a great place to be) and Star is busy with his life. All of them had great sites and I was not abouot to let them fall or be forgotten so WG.com was started. This Guyver WebRing is an extention of that. As I want other strong Guyver sites out there so it is more than just my site. I'll help them if needs be get some trafic from those who vist my own site. They get popular in turn trafic will flow to my site. All's good for each member. Guyver Reborn add this to the front page of your site: This site is a member of WebRing. To browse visit Here. Death Guyver, this is your own. This site is a member of WebRing. To browse visit Here. NOTE This code only works for those members, others do not use it!!!! Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 How do you leave a webring? because I'm finding it difficult to do so with the bioweapons webring. Quote
Sully Posted September 19, 2003 Author Posted September 19, 2003 Open your "My Rings" when logged, there open BioWEapons and on the right use the option to leave this webring. Quote
Guest Posted November 22, 2003 Posted November 22, 2003 But starbucks is owned by Dr. Evil Hey will you allow my rpg once i get it up? Quote
