Sorry for the long silence on this topic. My project went on hold for a few week due to a bout of dipresstion but after a very overdue holiday I'm back on track and the translations for the first book will be finished in 2 to 3 days time. My plan is to then do my manga scans and editing, then once thats done I'll post the chapter summeries here.
As a fun bit of trivia updated, the single biggest translastion headache I've had! And it was all due to a rodent!
Ok so as you may or may not know, there were mammels during the age of dinosaurs. They were mostly small and lived in the shadows of the saurians but they did exist. Well of these little bastards turns up in the manga. Why is that a problem? Well because the name the original french translator used was jibberish! I'd run across this befor with the name of a prehostoric plant but in that situastion there was little I had to work with and it was so miner that I let it be. Here however this rat is seen and then part of a later coversation so I was obligated to get this right. The name the translator used began with a D, so I typed it in and guess what? Not a single Cretaceous mammals thats name began with D was even close to the spelling used. Then to make it worse, I checked every bit of paleo art for each and not one of them looked like the one used in the manga.
And thus began my hunt. Do you know how many Cretaceous mammals there are? 79 with wikipedia entries alone! Then to add to that I had to check theorised diety habits, artists rendering that the original aurther might have used for his version on and also the year they were discovered so that they didn't clash with manga's date of publication. I could have narrowed the searched for just Late Cretaceous mammals but I had no way of knowing how accurate the manga was on this subject so I went through the lot just to be shore I didn't miss anything, although I took each creatures era into account when making my final choice.
So I started at A and worked my way down to a likely specimen.
Reigitherium was a Late Cretaceous mammal, it was speculated to be an insectivore, the old paleo art had a resmblance to the manga's version and it was discovered in 1990.

It may seem like a lot of hard work for so small a thing but if I'm gonna translate this manga, I'm dame well gonna do it properly!

Just wanted to examine Cabraal's power a bit, looking beyond his iconic Drsgon Lord form.
if I had to pin down what types of Zoalord he is, I'd say he's a manipulater type, in the same vain as Barcus and Waferdanos. What I mean by this is that they specialise in the manipulation of others. Barcus is the most powerful telepath amoung them while Waferdanos's hair is simple a more refined and battle oriented version of the control he has over the forest he is part of.
Cabraal's power is something of a blend between his to peers yet had unique elements to.
To cover the basics first, like all zoalords he has beyond human physical abilities even in human form, can fire a beam from his zoacrystal, can generate a barrier and control other zoanoids.
Given his small size it's a safe bet that he is physically the weakest amoung them. However the fact that he can seemingly stay afloat almost indefinitely implies a high level of bioenergy or psychic power.
Cabraal's true power however is cell manipulation. In many ways he is the opposite of Aptom. Aptom absorbs others to heal, reenergise and make himself stronger. Cabraal however seems to infect others with his own cells in order to manipulate them and their genetics. Given that power worked on Aptom, a being who had evolved beyond a zoanoid, it's likely that Cabraal's power will work on almost any organic being. The only ones likely to be immune are guyvers as they have been shown to repel such cell invasions such as when a mind controlled Aptom tried to absorb Sho.
The most basic offensive use for the power was displayed agenst Aptom. Using his cell invasion Cabraal was able to petrify Aptom.
His other power is to use his cells to create a fake brain like construct in another organic beings and controlling them like a puppet. This is very intreasting as all zoalords, even Archanfel, have been limited to only controlling zoanoids. How such a process would work on a normal human is unknown but is likely that with just a touch Cabraal could control them. Aptom presented a unique problem however. In many ways Aptom resembles the raw bio booster creature used to create the guyver. While his body lacked the control metals defences Aptom's body could reject Cabraal's cells if allowed to to undergo a certain level of regeneration and would regrow his brain. This is why Cabraal didn't insert the fake brain into Aptom when he was captured, as the second he began to regenerate his body would reject the false organ. As a result Cabraal instead infected the Hyper Zoanoid Gastal with his cells and used him as a sacrificial Trojan Horse to gain control of the fully restored Aptom.
The one major drawback of this method of control is that should it be broken, the mental backlash is very very painful and traumatic.
Cabraal's Dragonic Burst Mode is also a variation of this power as he likely infuses Zoanoids with his own cells, allowing him to manipulate their genetic structures to form his Dragon Lord form. This also implies that while this power can be used on any organic being without sufficient protection, its true potential can occur when used on zoanoids.
Its currently unknown if this power has any other applications.
Since Cabraal requires Dragonic Burst to use the full potential of his power, it's likely that his basic zoalord form is at most is average in terms of energy projection and barriers. This is backed up by his base zoalord form being much smaller and human like then his peers.

However this is to be expected of a manipulation type zoalord.
in his brain mode, Cabraal's psychic abilities are greatly inhanced. He was able to take control of all the zoanoids in Tokyo. This likely ranks him as the 3rd most powerful psychic amoung the zoalords, surpassed only by Barcus and Archanfel.
All in all Cabraal is one of the more unique zoalords. In a one on one fight with a normal guyver, Cabraal would likely have the hardest time out of the 12 in winning and the idea of him trying to take on a gigantic on his own is laughable to say the least. However his unique powers allow him a level of manipulation that not even the mightiest of zoalords has displayed. Also when he unleashes his true potential, his destructive power is currently only surpassed by Archanfel and the quasi-black hole.

1 hour ago, Salkafar said:...I thought Cell was 'Android 21'.
So did I and many others but apparently that's not the case. It may be because Cell is so far removed from Gero's other creations.
While collectively called Androids or artificial humans, they are i fact very diverse. There are about 4 different types.
Robots/true androids - 19, 16, 14, 15 and maybe 13
Cybrogs - Gero/20
Bioborg: humans with upgraded organic parts - 17, 18, 8 and maybe 13.
Biot: biological robot - Cell.

I'm not grasping at anything Sully, I'm speculating.
Also It in its true nature is a cosmic horror that exists between realities and is a being beyond the 4 demotions we humans live in. It as the power pull a soul from earth at impossible speeds through the infinity of the universe to the place between. What I'm trying to get across here is that to you and me it would be like trying to look a. 6 sided triangle. Such a thing dose not exist in our reality and our mind could not cope with such a thing. A machine is even more vulnerable as they lack any kind of psychological defence to back them up. This is why they can fall prey to loops and logical errors like say "if I told you I always spoke the truth, then told you the last thing I said was a lie, would you believe me".
When faced with its true self, they guyver would be trying to process something that dose not conform to any logical pattern or shape, what is an impossible. If such a thing crumpled the human mind, not because of fear but due to the simple fact that the human brain cannot even begin to process it, how would the guyver, a machine created by the same beings as human, begin to cope with that same impossible image?
IT may not have ever encountered something like the guyver in the multiverse that surrounds it, but it is something truly beyond any life.
Edit: however after reading everything and thinking on it I'll agree that Sho could beat it, but not alone. Sho as a human with the help of his friends has the will needed to fight back and they have the potential to channel the turtles power and beat it.
Alone we have agreed that Sho will run have a problem with the dead lights. So it's up to the guyver alone. If they guyver cannot process The image of its true form, a sheer cindradicting impossible form beyond anything found in the universe, they guyver is at risk to. If it can somehow get passed that it is not Sho and so cannot channel anything from the turtle. That means that it's only weapon it has that could work are the black holes created by exceed. But if it dose use them to will kill many, many people which would either mentally break Sho if he recovered and if he didn't leave the universe faceing a now out of control exceed, mean while IT has lost a small part of itself which is a setbsck but it has other options and time. So it can just kick back and watch as exceed goes on rampage or a broken Sho.
-
Edited by Godzilla (2017)
Thinking about it the control metal is in just as much danger from the dead lights a Sho. If it is capable of recognising IT in its true from then it could shut down as it, like the human mind, breaks down because it is trying to register a thing it simple cannot comprehend.
What boils down to is that alone Sho is fighting a loosening battle. No beam, blade or mega smasher is going to make a lasting impression without both willpower but also the belief needed to channel the turtles power. Even then one human is not enough. He'd need his friends to help him. Then as long as they can all do at least some level of the same thing they have a chance of really beating IT.
-
Edited by Godzilla (2017)
Here were we get complicated. In a mixed universe the turtle would back Sho, but Sho is at on disadvantage he's an adult and presumably alone. The children channeled the power of the turtle so effectively because they are children and have been run down by the harshness of life. The ritual of chud is an anti demon ritual Bill read about, it involves biting the demons touge and telling jokes till one of you laughs. It would never have worked unless Bill, or more importantly all the losers beloved it would. The fact they are together plays a part as the 7 of them, littaraly the magic number combined their power agents it. This is also why an inhaler can burn it and silver can to. As adults and with only 5 of them the losers almost lost to IT despite the fact It was still weakened from their last battle. Sho's willalone is not enough, he would need everyone's help and they must believe.
also is is not all illusions, it uses them but when it shapeshifts IT is very much real. It could take the form of his father, aptom or a zoalord and it will be as physical as the real thing. For example the blood in Beverlys bathroom is real, it just uses its power to make it the adults cannot see it.
even it's maddening true self is real, a physical horror that the unit will also consider an real. And again the madness was only undone because Ben believed it would and the other children's wills and power helped. Alone he would have done nothing.
Also the turtle is in the film, or rather its presence. As in the book characters see or interact with turtle images and such. The turtle is part of the movie the creator just kept it subtle.

1 hour ago, Larz Zahn said:IT being an being a cosmic God is news to me. My cousin and sone friends at work have read the novel, and they never mentioned it being an entity, my cousin just says it's a alien who uses fear and psychic abilities.
Sully, have you read the novel any?
I'm on the fence about a Guyver immunity to telepathy. We know that the Guyver unit 0 freed it's slave host from the mental commands of the creators... but did it block the telepathy itself? Keep in mind that the creators are telepathic, the relic was using telepathy comms, and the creators use guyvers aa well.
That dose not surpise me. not to speak ill of anyone but I have talked to a number of people who have read the book and clearly missed or not understood parts of it. For example many wrongly assume IT is an alien spider despite the fact the story goes out of its way to tell you thats not the case.
IT and many other King entities like the turtle and the Red King come from the Macroverse also known as Todash Space, the dimensionless nothingness that exists between alternate universes in the metaverse.
During the final battle with IT, Bill's soul is sent flying through space at immpossible speeds as IT tires to drag him out of the universe. When they encounter the turtle it is so large that it actually takes some time to get by it, infact its so large it has galaxies swimming in its toenails. But dont take my word for it....

OK Sully met you half way and say yes is Sho did destroy the earth he may IT's avatar. But Sho will never do that and starveing IT is not a proven way to kill it as it was suppossed to have died in the 80's but has survived despite no further feeding taking place in Derry since the Loser's club faced it. The real kicker is that even if you destroyed IT's avatar on earth it would likely still extist. A number of beings from King's fiction, like the turtle, haved supposidly died yet come back.
It is not a clown.....

IT's a peice of a cosmic entity that can be hurt or dinished but never proven to be truly killable in any fastion.

As for the regrowing a soul, even if that was possible, becuse the mind and the soul are not always one and the same, that still leave Sho's body vulnerable for a time and if it can strip him of a soul then it can learn all it need to know about killing him when it devours it.
Its a war of atrishion that Sho will never fight to the finish unless he acts totally out of character and IT has both the time and the tools to get the job done eventually.

Sully I'm sorry but you are grossly under playing IT and putting to much faith in the Guyver.
IT is not full os drenn, it is a piece of a entity that is escinally an Outer God. The children only hurt it because they had the backing of another such being and their own belief in that power. Why do you think Bill hurt it despite the fact that boltgun was empty? Why in both the novel and the TV series dose an inhaler filled with water burn it like acid? The childrens weapons would do jake drenn without the power of the Turle behind them. Another example id the fact that when the childern faced it in the book as a werewolf, itching powered irrittated it but comanding shouts actually hurt IT. That is all thew power of the beam and the turtle, two multi-universel cosmic beings. Even in the modern film the Turtle has a pressance with the worde turtle on Bill and Georgie's radios, the lego turtle in Georgies room and the Turlte the children meet while swimming.
Without supernatural power of an equally powerful being to back him up Sho littrally has no way of doing any lasting damage as it will just keep reforming. Plus IT's ultimate power, the Deadlights, is something Sho has no defence against it IS NOT A MENTAL POWER. Sho would be faced with a cosmic entity that his mind simple cant comprehend, a being who's true nature makes Archanfel look like a bactirea. Just looking is what kills or drives people insain, and all IT's doing is th eqivilent of taking of a mask. Also if pushed it will rip Sho's soul from his body and try to drag it through and out of the universe into IT.
What can a Guyver do against that?
-
Edited by Godzilla (2017)
54 minutes ago, Sully said:IT heavily depends on 2 things to eat it's victims:
1) Mind control -> Won't work on a Guyver.
2) installing fear on a Guyver through it's powers / the dead eyes. Again being a form of mind control a Guyver Unit would shield the host.
After that IT can be taken out by brute force weapons from a group of children. So going toe to toe against a Guyver with head sensors and abilities to move under ground = IT is toast.
I'd have to argue agenst that Sully. They Guyver has only ever been shown to protect the user from the mental powers of mortal beings. We have no evidence to suggest that it will protect the guyver from the mental abilites of supernatural entites who do not confrom to natural laws likie IT.
Sho dose have fears of his own it can expliot, the guyver has no way of really hurting IT at all without the outside influnce of another cosmic entity like the Turtle and in the face of the Deadlights Sho, even in his Exceed form, would be powerless. The Deadlights are not a mental attack of any kind, all IT is doing is reveling IT's true nature.
Edit: Infact comapreing Sho to IT is almost like this....

-
Edited by Godzilla (2017)
Ok big spoilers for anyone who has never read the book.
IT as we know it is just an avatar or a very small piece of a much larger cosmic entity on the scale of H.P. Lovecrafts Outer Gods such as Azathoth and Yog-sothoth.
In IT's true form IT is beyond humen comprehension, at most people see a mass of orange lights called the Deadlights. Anyone who has ever looked upon IT's true self either goes catatonic or dies as their mind simple cant deal with such a being. IT is also trapped ouside the multiverse, likely by the power of the Dark Tower, as are many of the truly monsterus forces of King's universe. IT has be discribed as an embodyment of Universal Consumption, The Eater of Worlds and of Children.
The part of IT that lives in the town of Derry may be just a small part of a larger horror but it is no less potent. IT mainy takes the form or Robert Gray, also known as Pennywise the dancing clown. Exactly why is not know but its likely because this form can gain the trust and inspire fear in children at the same time. IT's most notible power is shape shifting, IT can become any form IT chooses, although IT prefers a form that inspires the greatest amount of fear in IT's prey as it makes them taste better. This is why it normally preys on children as their fears are often simple and easy to manifest. IT has been Pennywise, a lepper, Dracula, The Mummy, A Wolfman, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Zombies, Corpses, A Giant Bird, The Frankenstine Monster, The Witch from Hansel & Gretel, Jaws, Paul Bunyan and many others. However the drawback is that when it takes a shape it must obey the laws of that shape, so for example as a wolfman it can be affected by sneezing powder and silver. However it should be notied that such attacks will not do any lasting damage to IT by themsleves. Edit: infact IT's been shown to heal instantaneously. IT's final shape, when cornered in ItT's lair was that of a giant spider, this is because this is as close as the human mind can get to interpriting IT's true form and nature, however the form is also described almost like a projection, like a shape standing infrount of a light.
In terms of speed it is said to be able to travel as fast as a express train. IT's physical strength and durability will alter with IT's shape.
IT is also a master illusions and reality warping. IT's able to fill an entire bathroom with blood yet can make it invisible to everyone bar the person It's currently tormenting. IT has also been spotted in multiple locastions at once and teleported people to other locastions. It also has appeared inside photos and made them move.
IT's other great power is of a psychic nature. IT can easily read minds as well as dominate the minds of others. IT has also been described as the town of Derry itself and its influance effects everyone there, especially if they give into exil and temptastion. IT's greatest been able to create pocket hurricans and near then end of the book nearly leveled the town of Derry.
IT's last ditch power is to try and rip the souls of its foes from their bodies in a mental game of tug of war. IT can send a persons soul out of their body and through space and even out of the universe at incredible speeds. This is done because as I have already said IT is just an avatar for IT's true self. IT will try and draw the person's soul out of the universe ant into the Deadlights proper.
However it is not without a true weakness. Not being afraid of IT helps as it makes its own abilites less effective but the true way to beat it is the magic from IT's nemesis, The Turtle. The Turtle is another multiverse cosmic entity like IT but is a force for good and creation, infact it created our universe when it vomited due to a stomach ache. The Turtle is also a guardian for on of the power beams of the Dark Tower. While the Turtle cannot act on its own, it did give people, especially the Loser's Club children the potential to channel the power of the Beam agenst IT. This "magic" manifests itself through the childrens beliefs and the bond they share. This is what allows them to truly harm it as well as finding ways to dicover its true nature and lock IT into its final form of a Spider.
However despite their victory, there are signs that IT was not destroyed. a clown seen in a storm drain, an unearthly orange aura hanging over Derry and words painted in a wall....

Epiosde 107
As the Tournament of Power continues, Frost recalls how he struck a deal with Champa to have his crimes absolved if Universe 6 won the tournament. At first Champa refused, since Frost had already humiliated him so much during the Universe 6/7 tournament, but he seemed to change his tune once Frost promised to ensure Universe 7’s defeat. Back in the present, for the sake of his revenge, and for the sake of his business, Frost must prove useful to Universe 6.
With many warriors now eliminated, the Great Priest helps the Omni-Kings take stock of the situation once more. Currently a total of 36 warriors remain: U2 has six left, U3 has seven, U4 has four, U6 and U7 both have eight (more than any of the other universes), while U11 has only three. Beerus notices that while U4 is supposed to have four warriors remaining, only two are visible in the arena (though Tenshinhan had faintly sensed the presence of the remaining two back when the tournament began). Whis notes that this could be trouble, since U4 is supposed to have many warriors with special abilities.
While U11 would seem to be at a disadvantage with only Jiren, Toppo, and Dyspo left, the U11 gods Vermoud and Kai aren’t worried: it’s quality, not quantity, that’s important! After all, those three are the strongest in their universe, and Jiren and Toppo have still sustained no real damage. Suddenly, the U11 warriors are sneak-attacked by U3’s Maji Kayo. With Maji Kayo’s unusual, liquid-like body, the U3 Kaioshin Ea is sure he’s the perfect fighter to send against Jiren to try and learn more about his strength.
Dyspo goes after Maji Kayo but seems to struggle, so Jiren steps in. This suits Maji Kayo and Ea’s plans just fine…except Jiren immediately knocks Maji Kayo out of the arena simply by pumping his fist, thus defeating him before he can gather any useful intel. Meanwhile, Frost goes after Muten Roshi, his strategy being to pick off weakened fighters. Goku tries to go to Roshi’s aid, but is stopped by Ribrianne, who still has a bone to pick with him. While Roshi still has some fight left in him, Frost soon gains the upper hand (complaining that it’s difficult for him to hold back enough to not kill his opponents).
Roshi counterattacks with another Mafuba, but unfortunately this time around he misses the jar, leaving Frost free. Frost is amazed that Roshi still had such a technique up his sleeve, and seeing Vegeta nearby, he gets an idea. He fires a volley of finger beams at Roshi, while also firing one off at Vegeta to get his attention. With Roshi’s defeat looking imminent, off on the sidelines Beerus tells Kuririn to get a Senzu ready to keep Roshi from dying. But before Frost can finish Roshi off, Vegeta swoops in and knocks him away. He’s not here to save Roshi though; it’s simply that Frost ticks him off.
Frost claims that he’s gotten weaker since the last tournament (due to always being on the run since then) and warns that another attack from Vegeta might kill him, but Vegeta sees through this attempt to stall for time. Soon thereafter though, Magetta comes crashing in, and proves impervious both to Super Saiyan Vegeta’s Big Bang Attack and his insults (he’s used magma to block up his ears). As Vegeta struggles against Frost and Magetta’s tag team, Frost emphasizes that “normal attacks” won’t work against Magetta, and Roshi takes the bait and decides that another Mafuba is in order.
Frost has been waiting for this though, and he deflects Roshi’s Mafuba over at Vegeta. While Roshi quickly breaks the jar he was going to seal Magetta in, Frost still has the jar Roshi tried to use against him, and he successfully seals Vegeta inside it. Not wanting Vegeta to lose on his account, Roshi uses the last of his strength to fire off a tiny ki blast to try and break the jar. He misses the first time around, but manages to guide the blast back, catching Frost off-guard and freeing Vegeta.
Now thoroughly angry, Vegeta goes Super Saiyan Blue and blasts off the gunk covering Magetta’s left ear, then insults him. Magetta collapses, but Frost disappears in a puff of smoke before Vegeta can deal with him. Vegeta pushes the now immobilized Magetta out of bounds, and turns his attention to Roshi, who he advises to bow out now and eat some Senzu before he dies. Roshi agrees and willingly drops out of the arena. Once teleported to the bleachers, Kuririn feeds him a Senzu and Beerus (after some customary insults) congratulates him on a job well done.
Elsewhere, Goku and Ribrianne prepare to face off. 30 minutes remain in the Tournament of Power. -

Ok so I just got back from seeing this latest adpation of the Stephen King's novel. Befor I go any further I give the obligitory spoiler warrnings, as I wil be talking about both the film and its ties to the novel. However I will try not to give to much away at the same time.
I had watched the mini series once and only read the novel this years so I am relitively detached from most of King's works bare some of the movie adaptions now and then over the years. Going in my expectations were a bit mixed as the trailers gave me much to look forward to but also stuff that made me role my eyes a bit. Simple put I walked in open minded but praying they did not screw this up as I had come to really enjoy the novel. And I have to say they did a pretty good job, to the point may very well gon on my most faviort movie list beside Jurassic Park and Alien.
The film makers made some very wise choices with the film. They cut out the entire adult half of the story for this film, a goods choice due to the fact that while haveing what are effectively two novels running side by side, and flitting between eachother, in a novel can works there is simple to much informastion to try to cram in without the film become bloated and confusing. Moveing its setting to 1988 - 1989 was a good choice as and dose not affect the films story in any way nor is it thrown in your face that much. Much of the more.....stranger elements of the novel were either thrown out completly or made much more subtle which honestly helps the story as a whole again and helps keep IT a more enigmatic and scary being.
However one flaw that dose crop up by throwing out the adult half of the story means that, while well paced, the childrens encounters with IT quickly occur one after another at times rather then haveing any breaks but I feel that that was an eventable issue in its own right and dose not harm the narative to much.
As to wither you will find the film a horror or thriller is a tough one as it fits in both catagories. Really Horror is as subjective as its counterpart Humor, what scares the piss out of one is not even going to raise the heart rate of another. The film also keeps away from slasher levels of gore but is not afriade to let the blood flow either.
All the main focus child actors do a very exeptional job, better then many adults I could name. None of them bleed into eachother or get lost in the group although some play more prominante roles then others. The only real weak spot is in the writing and role swapping of two of the characters Ben and Mike, with Ben's orignal characteristics being taken out and replaced with Mikes, while Mike's entire character is noticable different. Why this was done I dont know and its not too bad but if you are awaire of either the book or the series it will stick out like a sore thumb.
The minor cast is used well but a good chunk of many characters stories were cut. However their importance to the main cast and their fears is still well depicted in the film.
Now comes the big one. Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise.
If your expecting the clown to be the way he was in the mini-series you will be disapointed. If you wanted a proper depiction of the character your going to be happy. Curry's iconic Pennywise was the result of the series not haveing the budget to properly emulate the book. Since they could not afford to do all the monsters IT turns into, Curry's Pennywise to center stage. Due to this Pennywise become an icone that actually overshadowed IT's true nature to the point that most see IT as only a killer clown. In reality Pennywise is just another form IT takes, just like any other. While its true IT seems to treat Pennywise as a faithful pair of old shoes or a shirt, it is the form IT most often takes, Pennywise is not IT's true nature. As a side note some people have gotten the idea that IT is called Robert "Bob" Gray, this is not true as the name is only ever used in connection to the form of Pennywise rather then IT's self. That all being said Skarsgård effectively brings Pennywise to life but more as a other worldy horror rather then just a demonic clown. As a whole I much prefered this interpritastion. What aslo helps is that while often seen, Pennywise is not as overused. While its a shame that none of the classic movie monsters make an apperance, exept for nod to the Wolfman and a very brief apperance by a Mummy (keep your eyes peeled), the film chooses instaed to focus on the childrens more personal fears, ones frounded in their lives and honestly this comes plays out more effectively I feel.
So on the whole the film dose a dame fine job of bringing IT to life on the big screen as far as I'm concerned. While not perfect, and nothing is, is is a very solid film in its own right as well as an adaption.
Big Spoilers: While I did say a good chunk of the stories more otherworldy and strange elements were cut....
1) The Deadlights do put in an apperance.
2) Keep your eyes and ears open for signs of ...... The Turtle.

Episode 106
Muten Roshi decides to rest for a bit following his battle with Ganos, and tells Goku to go off and fight for him. Meanwhile, Gohan and Piccolo are battling Dr. Rota, the warthog man from Universe 6. Rota announces that he shall teach them why he is called “doctor”, but before he can explain his ability, he is suddenly shot down by a ki attack from afar. Piccolo and Gohan take cover from the shots that follow, which Piccolo deduces are a type of concentrated ki attack similar to his own Makankosappo.
The two are unable to sense their attacker’s ki, and are hemmed in by the pinpoint accuracy of the shots. The two discuss strategy, unaware that they are being observed by one of many small floating balls, which also serve to reflect the shots. Piccolo decides for them to suppress their ki and relocate to another piece of rubble for cover, but as soon as they move, Piccolo’s arm is shot off. He grows it back and reassures Gohan that he is fine; their first priority is still to locate the sniper. Taking cover, Piccolo stretches his arm out to draw the enemy’s fire, giving Gohan the opportunity to observe the direction the blast comes from.
Since there is no sufficiently big rubble to use as cover over in the enemy’s direction, Piccolo has Gohan throw a boulder into the air, and blasts it to produce smoke to conceal their approach. On their way over, they discover a floating ball, and wonder if the sniper is using it to track them. Indeed, another shot soon comes their way, and Piccolo smashes the ball. He thinks about how they can still be tracked in this smoke. Is it heat?
Off in the audience, the Omni-Kings wonder why Gohan and Piccolo have remained in one spot for so long, and the Great Priest explains to them what a “sniper” is. Tenshinhan comes across the unconscious Dr. Rota (he was left alive, since killing him would disqualify the sniper), and warns Goku and Vegeta about the sniper when they show up. Vegeta contemptuously thinks it should be easy to dodge attacks like that, but the sniper’s next shot zooms past his head, narrowly missing him. Vegeta is annoyed at this enemy for attacking without showing himself.
Meanwhile, Piccolo has now lost both of his arms from the sniper’s attacks. He grows them back, but regenerating so much is taking a toll on his stamina. Still, his only concern is that Gohan is safe, and he has now confirmed that the sniper is tracking them by their body heat. The two start warming up various spots on the surrounding rubble to create multiple heat sources, confusing the sniper. But the sniper responds by firing off a huge number of shots all at once, to draw them out of their hiding place.
Goku, Vegeta, and Tenshinhan observe Gohan and Piccolo as they dodge these numerous shots, and spot what they think is the sniper. In fact, this first enemy (the U2 warrior Prum, who also creates the floating balls) is merely reflecting energy blasts fired by the true sniper (the U2 warrior Hermila), located elsewhere. Vegeta and Goku go off to take out Prum, while Tenshinhan goes to help Gohan and Piccolo. Vegeta and Goku confront Prum, blasting him with a Galick Gun and Kamehameha, but Prum reflects Vegeta’ second blast back at them.
It turns out Prum is simply a decoy. He conducts reconnaissance, but when it comes to attacking he just reflects Hermila’s blasts, meaning Goku and Vegeta should have gone after Hermila first. Vegeta tells Goku to handle Prum, and tries to go take care of Hermila, but Hermila keeps changing position. To track him down, Tenshinhan splits into four people: with all the extra eyes, he can track Hermila down, but splitting his power and speed in four has left him defenseless against Hermila’s blasts. It is now a question of if he can reach Hermila before all of his clones are shot down.
Since ki blasts don’t work on Prum, Vegeta and Goku start throwing rubble at him. Hermila is now too busy dealing with Tenshinhan to fire at Prum, leaving him defenseless. Hermila manages to eliminate all but one of the Tenshinhans, but the remaining one is close enough to nail him with a Shin-Kikoho. Hermila is too wounded to lift his arms up to fire, and seems to surrender. Tenshinhan praises him for putting up a good fight, and prepares to finish him off.
However, Hermila fires straight down at the ground, causing Tenshinhan to fall out of the arena. This time it is Hermila’s turn to sarcastically praise Tenshinhan, but Tenshinhan’s three clones reappear and drag Hermila down out of the arena with them. Tenshinhan and Hermila are both officially eliminated, and without Hermila’s support, Prum has no way of attacking. Dr. Rota has recovered, and goes after Prum for revenge, once again declaring that he will show why he is called “doctor”. But before he can explain about his ability, Vegeta blasts him and Prum out of the arena.
Though Prum and Hermila have been dealt with, Universe 7 has lost its second team member. Still, Vegeta is unconcerned, saying that he simply needs to take out all the remaining enemies himself. Goku agrees that they will just have to do Kuririn and Tenshinhan’s share of the fighting too.
