  1. Hi V Guyver thanks a lot for the comment! I know what you mean about the recording quality etc. Sadly tech wise not all of the guys could readily get to a high(er) quality mic. But trust me, these guys were the best that auditioned (shudders at the memory of some of the failed auditions. Think X-Factor failures. On a web cam mic. With no actual acting. Your about half way there lol.) For those that did land a part, I think for the demands I placed on them they did pretty good and I'm grateful for their work ^^. But I'm still glad you enjoyed it and think it's better than some of the older dubs lol XD.
  2. Awesome! Thanks so much for that!
  3. Wow really!? o0 I'd be honoured.
  4. Great, thanks a lot for clearing that up! I'll adjust this tomorrow with a list of what I'm looking at. Though at the moment I think I'm going to have a whack at Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman. Though I'd love to work on California Crisis or Scramble Wars (as a change from action/violent Anime) I know that the people that fan subbed California Crisis had a good raw but I can't seem to get a hold of anyone from the group and their forum has all but closed down ¬_¬. Update: Good news! I have found both Amon and California Crisis. Should be more than enough to keep me busy! But I'll be sure to make more requests in the future.
  5. Hi guys, As you probably recall in the Guyver thread I posted the Rogue Productions fan dub. I am already working on our next project, Dragon's Century. However I am having some trouble finding the OST/alternate music to use. So I was looking for another production to run alongside DC (to try and keep the dubbing juices going and not stalling on 'material searching'), I already have some ideas for projects but again finding materials for them is being a pain i.e. Decent RAWs without any subs. With that I get to the point at hand. The rules of the forum are 'No linking to pirated material that is easily commercially available to the west.' The materials I am looking for are all between 10-30 years old and as usually out of print/hard to find and never received an official English dub. However they may have had a official sub some many years ago on VHS. (I too hate piracy, but in regards to Rogue Productions work it's sadly a necessary evil.) So before I make any requests for particular things, I wanted to make sure it would be okay as I don't want to be breaking any forum rules. [P.s. I opened this thread here as I will just edit this thread to make a request.] Thanks guys!
  6. Signed.
  7. Hi Guyver0, thanks so much for the feedback! And thanks for the comment on Sho, I'm really happy that he sounded okay. As for the Guyver steps I did change them, originally it sounded like a metal boat hull was being stepped on (even on cement). As I had to manually replace every single sound effect I had to search for a sound to replace it. At first I tried capturing a moment from the original where there was no BGM or SFX behind the sound, but it sounded repetitive even when I messed with the pitch and volume. So I tried searching online for a sound, however the metal sounds didn't have the impact I wanted. So I had a look around some of my old fav Animes and 'borrowed' the sound from a boomer in Bubblegum Crisis lol XD. Hi Aether, even though you haven't watched it completely I'm glad you're impressed by the parts that you watched so far. And lol, don't worry I don't take sounding like 80's/90's Anime as an offence. Personally they're some of my fav Animes but I don't mind a lot of newer ones either (I tend to be quite open minded. It has to be really bad for me not like it.) I hope you enjoy the full production just as much when you watch it, and I know the rest of the guys appreciate your kind words! Again, it's been great hearing such positive feedback from such hardcore fans! Thank you all!
  8. Hi Ryuki, thanks a lot of taking the time to watch, I hope you enjoy the rest of the production just as much as the start. I see your point on Malmot, I did know it was a derogatory term and tried to relay that in the performance. I guess I kinda failed on that point . Still I'm glad that what we've done took you to a really special place, that's what makes it all worth while. Thanks! Hi Eric Dacosta, that's a more than valid opinion, and thank you for it ^^. I did intentionally depict Sho as a wuss, as that's how I saw him. At the start of Guyver, he's more terrified than anything about this power that's invaded his body, and I really felt that was one of the key elements of Out of Control. It's not until he 'awakens' after his trot through a desert (which I wonder how he found one in Japan lol) that he starts to become confidant with the Guyver and relies on its power. Though I still tried to keep some of his whining school boy nature there, as I didn't want too much of a dramatic change of character. A sudden change might have been awkward in such a short space of time. It's really a shame that Out of Control is so short, that its hard to show more of Sho and Valcuria's story. But there are the later Guyver series, which the official dubs do a much better job than I at telling that story. I also take responsibility as the Producer and Director for the other performers short coming. They all tried hard, but if that's how you feel, then I fell short at bringing out their full potential. However that's something I'll take on board and continue to try and develop as I make future productions. Thanks again for your honest opinion, and I'll be sure to remember it for the future. Hi Bio-Boosted Dude, woah thanks so much for the kind words! I tried to keep the production as close to the original as I could, but did add a few things here and there to make it worth watching for those that have already seen the subbed version. For example the vocal effects etc. However as you pointed out, I did want the vocal work itself to have a modern quality. Whilst I LOVE cheese and old retro Anime, I felt trying to mimic that feeling wouldn't work out so well for the project. I did want Veridia to seem a little disinterested as Valcuria, the position makes it easy to make people squirm and she's almost lost interest in that. She wants a challenge to test and prove herself, and the appearance of the Guyver and her own bonding with a unit has given her that chance. Thus she finally has a chance to let loss when confronting Sho. However I can see what you mean looking back at the production. Maybe I should have had her perform some scenes differently. Again, something I will keep in mind as I continue to produce more projects in the future. As for the music, I tried to use as much of the original Out of Control OST as I could, sadly there were 3/4 places where I couldn't find the original track and had to improvise. I did try to mimic the feeling of the original soundtrack as much as I could. and I do hope it doesn't detract too much for that. And thanks once again for the great feedback! Hi Guyver Four! Thanks for welcoming me to the forum, and thank you for the congrats on our first release ^^. You don't need to thank me, but I do appreciate the very kind words. Knowing that the work everyone put into the project has been appreciated so greatly by such dedicated fans like yourself really makes the whole thing worth while! And I'm sure everyone will be deeply moved by you kind sentiments. I'm really glad you feel that our work has done well to live up to the original voice actors work, it's great to hear! I hope our future projects will be just as entertaining for you and everyone else. Thanks again!
  9. Hi Lost Unit, thanks a lot! I'm really glad you appreciate the work we put into this.
  10. Thanks a lot Kenji Murakami, glad to help spread this Anime to a new audience. I loved Tekkaman Blade growing up! I still want to make Blades armour one day lol. Even though it was edited, it still had a dub so I won't be able to do the series. There's really two reasons, I don't want to step on actors toes (even if they never know about it) and it's to avoid at least a little copyright trouble . To be honest, I have actually done the Twin Blood Special before some years ago before I formed Rogue Productions good and proper. However it was removed from YouTube due to a copyright complaint by the Technoman owners (even though they never released the specials in English, just subbed on the DVD ¬_¬). I should really try getting in contact with them... Also it was ages ago, I still had (and still do have) a lot to learn about acting and editing. So it's a little embarrassing to watch . But at any rate, thank you for the suggestion. I would really have loved to work on the series too!
  11. Presents Guyver Out of Control Hi everyone, I'm Martin from Rogue Productions. A poster on our YouTube pointed me in the direction of this cool forum as you might be interested in our recently finished production. A few weeks ago we published Rogue Productions' Guyver Out of Control fan dub, after 8 months of none-stop work (and a few years of false starts). It's had a fairly warm reception so far, and a commenter said that you Guy(vers) at Anime Legends might like to take a look at it. Feedback is more than welcome and encouraged! I hope you enjoy, and please look forward to Rogue Productions' next project, Dragon's Century. http://youtu.be/nUzE_m05_o4 CAST (In order of Apearance) Driver [Jinjuuryuu] Malmot [Martin] Father [Martin] Sho [Martin] Mother [Veridia] Mizuki [CatSinger] Mono [Nick] Gregor [Jinjuuryuu] Chronos Trooper A [Dr Orochi] Makishima [Mugen26] Takaya [Cyrus] Scream Girl [Veridia] Valcuria [Veridia] Detective Akitsu Human [Dr Orochi] Detective Akitsu Zoanoid [Jinjuuryuu] Scientist [Martin] Doctor [CatSinger] Ishiwatori [Dr Orochi] Ship Yard Announcer [Dr Orochi] Guyver III [Dr Orochi] Epilogue [Nick] I would like to thanks all the cast that took part in this eight month long journey. But only if it's at least 10 years old and never received an official English dub -_^.
