Ok so next year we are getting a prequel to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Synopsis: Prequel about teenage Leatherface who escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a road trip from hell. Along the way, they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman out for revenge.

 

Nice to see my favorite slasher back not only in MKX but also with a new movie next year. The Slasher movie era started with him and in these twilight years of the genera he's the only one still kicking around which is rather fitting. I dont expect the movie to be "ground breaking", just want it to be enjoyable.

 

Gonna be a very Texas Chainsaw themed Christmas for me and this news was the cherry on top.
