Can't send PM's

As stated in the topic title,I am unale to send PM's. When I try it says I do not have permission/have reached the maximum nr of messages i could send.

This is strange as I have not send any PM's.

    pm is disabled until minimum number of posts is made. your member status will change to member+ and you can send PMs. it is mainly to stop people asking questions as soon as they sign up without first checking the FAQs.
