username Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 So i dont really come here that much but I saw something very interesting that was Guyver related that i couldnt find anyone talking about. Ok so I was looking at David Hayter's twitter, who we all know from Dark Hero. And on Aug 10th 2013 he made a tweet that was a picture with him and Steve Wang and it said discussing Guyver 3. Now I dont know if he was serious or not but man I want it to be serious. Do not confuse this with a tweet he made like a year ago that says he pitched the idea to Wang but the project could not happen due to rights issues. This is something that happened relatively recently. So I simply want to know what people think. If you don't believe and think im just trying to mess with people, please go to his twitter and look at Aug 10 2012 the picture of him and Wang is there with the caption saying discussing Guyver 3. I Just want to know what others think. I have my doubts, since it is the 20th anniversary of them filming and he might have just been hanging out with Wang because of that. I would love for this to be real, I think the movie would be pretty damn good, much better than the other 2 atleast, I still think Dark Hero was alright to good. Hayter was not involved in the first and only acted in the second. His true strength is screen writing, also voice Snake before he got canned. He has made some of the most accurate comic screen plays ever,x men 1 and 2 not that crappy 3rd one. And Watchmen witch just kicks ass. So please what are your thoughts, is it real or is he just taking the piss Quote
Azaar Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Much as I would be intrigued by it, I don't see it happening -- not unless Wang was directing and Hayter was writing the screenplay. Dark Hero was far, far better than Mutronics, but Hayter's too old to play Sean at this point. Still, it would be interesting to see what might happen, depending on how things were to work out. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Holy hell that's awesome. I had no idea he wrote X1-2 and Watchmen. Scorpion King wasn't bad either! Quote
Azaar Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Just saw a little something on Wikipedia: while Hayter made the pitch to Steve Wang, the rights to The Guyver reverted back to the original owners in Japan. So it looks like, much as a Guyver III movie would be potentially cool, it likely won't be happening unless someone got the rights to it again and gave Hayter and Wang a chance. Quote
