Warbyrd13 Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 Looking at my current issue of video gaming mag and found a screen shot of a DBZ MMO that will hit japan sometime. The article said something about the beta being done this summer. From the screen shots it looked like WOW with DBZ charecters. Saw the Sayian toon charging the famous Goku attack. KameHameha(sp?) Pros Human, Nameck and Sayian charecters... hmm I wounder what I will be? Customize you charecter looks Custom fighting style Cons What will the others do once the Sayains start going super sayian? "I see and Alpha class in the making or cries of NERF when non sayians get beat down in later levels" How will the weaker charecters deal with andriods, freezer like bosses or Buu? 150 years in the future but it looked like the group was getting advice or a mission from Goku and Piccolo. But I hope they make servers for the states casue i just made my wife a very happer person by saying I will get her an account and a computer that will handle the game. Then I will have it on my gaming comp also. Then i will go and own her in PVP. But I will find out more when i get back to the states when i dont have to deal with an pain of a firewall that is up. IE they will block gaming review and boards but for some reason everyone can always check out the latest sports stats and scores during work hours. Quote

Looks interesting, so I'll throw in some game info:- Story:- Dragon Ball Online is set in Age 1000, exactly 216 years after Son Goku left the 28th World Tournament to train Uub in Age 784. The player takes the role of one of the many warriors living on Earth, searching for the Dragon Balls, training to compete in the World Tournament, or aspiring to become like the warriors of legend. While training, the player senses a disaster will strike the world. The Earth is divided into pieces by a villainous organization known as the Dark Eye, which is lead by a mysterious individual. Receiving guidance from Time Patrol Trunks, the player sets out on a journey to defeat the mastermind and save the world, meeting other players along the way, and interacting with the denizens of Earth, including characters from the original series. Features and Info:- - The official name for the game is: Dragon Ball Online - It's being developed by Namco-Bandai and will be their first MMORPG game. They have licensed the rights to use the Dragonball Z Intellectual Property from Atari for the US / UK Release (pending). - The game is to be beta-tested in Korea and if all goes well, will be released within 6 months of testing by Namco-Bandai. The game is not being set a US / UK Release Date but should be out in 2008.
